Halting the car in front of the mansion, Mace turned his head to Simon. "You can always use another phone to check what you are looking for."


Simon didn't say a word, instead, he looked at the building from the window. "Are we supposed to come here?"


"Yes. You just came back from the hospital and you need to rest."


"No. I am fine, Mace. Except for the fact that I am still mad at Scarlett for trying to kill me. Forget about that. We are supposed to be at the council meeting and not here."


"You still have so much time until tomorrow. Besides, no one knows you are back home."


Simon sighed as he leaned his back to the chair. He closed his eyes for a while and when he opened it, he turned his gaze over to Mace. "Do you really think she will never forgive me?"


"Maybe I should visit her and confront her myself."
