7. Sightings

Towards night Hardi woke up from his sleep. Rubbing his eyes, he glanced at the next bed, empty.

"What time is it?" He grabbed his cell phone and turned it on. His eyes were fresh when he saw the numbers on the screen showing 05:47 minutes.

"Damn it! I'm almost late for Maghrib prayers!" she screamed.

Hardi hastily unpacked the contents of his bag to find towels and rushed to the bathroom. Before entering, Hardi took off all his clothes, leaving it lying on the floor.

After bathing and changing clothes, Hardi put on a sarong and didn't forget a cap, held a prayer rug in the middle of his bed and also fierce uncle and started to pray Maghrib. When he finished, he did not stop immediately, but made up the prayers he had left when he was traveling.

"Assalamualaikum warahmatullah, Assalamualaikum warahmatullah, Amen ya rabbal alamin" Hardi changed his position to cross-legged and began to pray for his parents.

For some reason Hardi felt a different air around him after he finished praying. When he accidentally turned to the side of the chopping fierce uncle,

Deg!

At the door that was tightly closed a woman in a white dress with long hair was facing her back, Her feet were not on the ground, Floating in the air.

"AAAH!!! GHOSTS!"

Without bothering to fix his prayer equipment, Hardi jumped up and wrapped his body in a blanket. His mouth was muttering about reading whatever prayers he had memorized.

Recently he saw the appearance of spirits directly. His heart was pounding hard, Cold sweat was almost dripping down his body, He was really scared right now.

Klak...

"Hardi? What are you doing screaming like a crazy person?" Asked Rahmat the door opener. At first, he intended to wake Hardi, Uncle said, was still sleeping in his room. Then a scream from inside made him worry and immediately opened the door.

But what he found was that the teenager was actually wrapped up in a blanket with a trembling body.

"Don't come in! There's a Kunti behind the door!" Hardi screamed, still not wanting to open the blanket.

"Ah, really? , don't play around!" Deny Rahmat, He idly checked behind the door, There was nothing there but flower pots that were placed to decorate the room.

The teenager chuckled, approached and immediately pulled Hardi's blanket.

"GHOST, DON'T TROUBLE ME!!" Hardi shouted covering his face with a pillow.

"You're crazy! It's me Rahmat! Your ex-boyfriend!" He shouted back while pinching Hardi's cheek in exasperation.

"Boyfriend from Hong Kong!"

Rahmat chuckled hearing that, "Why are you stuttering like that?" He said curiously.

In fear, Hardi immediately hugged the teenager, "When I finished praying, I saw a Kuntilanak at the door earlier!"

"You don't really pray, that's why you look like that! let go of your arms or I will do things to you!" Rahmat hit Hardi's head with a pillow.

"Oh unclean!" Disgusted Hardi as he released his arm.

"Go change clothes, then go to the kitchen, eat" Rahmat told.

"Wait for me!"

"Tsk, yes-yes I'm waiting!"

*** HARDI POV ***

At the dinner table, waiting for orders my friends joked and told everything they knew except me.

I sighed, the image of the previous djinn creature still filling my mind. I'm afraid, I'm afraid if I go to the room alone again the ghost will reappear.

"What's wrong with you?" Asked uncle Pradit who sat beside me. The attention of my friends also turned to me, They were as curious as uncle Pradit.

"maybe about ghosts" said Rahmat.

"Huh? A ghost?" Ibnu mumbled not understanding. After that they were silent, Waiting for my story.

Because I was afraid to make the people around our table panic, I said in a low voice, "Wake up I took a shower immediately after that Maghrib prayer and I made up for the prayer that I missed on the road earlier, Well when I finished I accidentally looked I went to the door and there was a Kuntilanak with her back to me!!"

"Ha ha ha!!" Vera burst out laughing breaking the tense atmosphere between us.

"Nowadays do you see ghosts? Just make me laugh," said Ibnu, almost laughing too.

"I swear I'm not lying!" I denied. I raised my two fingers as proof of my defense and the truth of what I said.

Ummu replied, "Maybe you saw it wrong, Di"

"It's true what Mumu said, the sleepy effect was forced to pray!" Yusman confirmed Ummu's words or we used to call her Mumu.

"Most of the time, you watch ghost soap operas, that's why you fantasize about seeing that" Okta said mocking me.

Upset, I'm annoyed they don't believe my words at all. But I have to understand that because Rahmat who went to my room didn't believe it, what about my other friends?

They chose to go back to the conversation and ignore my story. I took a deep breath, I lazily buried my face between my folded hands on the table. I seem to have lost my appetite even though in a few minutes our order will arrive.

Until a hand tapped my shoulder, "They don't believe it because they don't see it directly" Comforted uncle Pradit.

I lifted my head and looked at uncle Pradit, "Hardi knows uncle" I answered wearily, I saw a faint smile reappeared on the surface of his lips.

Even though he has a scary face, actually uncle Pradit is caring in my opinion. It's just that the way is quite vague and invisible. For example with myself, Starting from lending me the card and even paying for our room rental, yes ... even though I promise to replace it as soon as possible. And now he comforts me.

My mother is right, the face can not be used as a benchmark.

The order came, I ordered my favorite chicken yellow rice. This food is often made by my mother when I come home from vacation from the hostel. The distance from my house to my campus is very far, so I was forced to choose to live in the dormitory provided.

There is sadness and joy. Sad because I have to live in the city and away from Mama and my other family, The Joy's I'm glad because I got many friends and experiences while living there.

In the 2nd year of college, the Paru city was rocked by an earthquake (M)4.1. My campus was also affected, it could even be said to be very big because almost half of the entire building was destroyed, including my own dormitory.

Thanks to Allah SWT because before that incident we had a day off after carrying out final exam. You can conclude for yourself where I am, The answer must be my house in the village. Although our village also experienced shocks but the scale was very small. No one was injured or their property was found damaged.

As for how we got here without the traffic jams, I don't really understand because I'm not the one driving the car, I only work to eat and sleep hehehe...

That's the origin of our 2 month holiday. In fact, I also saw that Mini city was slightly affected by the earthquake from the city Paru, but its fate was as good as my village.

Cool to imagine the incident, I didn't realize my yellow rice had run out leaving a plate and spoon, Also the taste hangs on my tongue, I'm still hungry.

"You don't have to think about it, Di, just think the wind is passing," Rahmat advised me. Maybe he thought I was still thinking about the appearance in the room because during the meal I was silent. I just nodded in response.

Forget about ghosts, my stomach is growling. I glanced at my friends. Apparently they're still ordering dessert for each, While with me? Haah... I'm confused myself.

Just try to bring money, of course now I'm the first to order an additional menu.

"Order, I'll pay later" Uncle Pradit said to me.

I was surprised, "No need Uncle, Hardi is already full." I refused to lie. I don't want to increase my debt to him.

But uncle Pradit still insists, "Order"

Seeing me looking depressed, Ibnu also interrupted, "Just order Di, this is all my uncle is paying for it so you just calm down" added Ibnu accompanied by a nod of the head from the others. Ooh, So this is Uncle Pradit's treat? No wonder they ordered delicious food beforehand.

I clumsily reached for the menu book and pointed at what I wanted to order at the waiter who was still faithfully waiting. I have to know myself, Even though it's a treat but I will put it on the list of debts that I have to pay later.
