Afraid Hardi tried to ask, "Uncle, do you want to join the prayer?" Fierce uncle is seen lying on his bed with his hands folded under his head, his eyes closed.
"Hmmm" Fierce uncle muttered as he went to the bathroom to take ablution water. Hardi was relieved, glad that his invitation was accepted.
A few minutes later Pradit came out straight to the place where he put his backpack. Hardi widened his eyes. Now uncle Sangar looks more charming with his prayer clothes in the form of a sarong wrapped from the waist to the ankles, a white long sleeved shirt and finally a black skullcap on his head.
Hardi praised, "Wow, uncle handsome, Cool!" Fierce uncle nodded in agreement, That's a fact.
They also prayed with Pradit as the priest, Hardi was okay because this moment reminded him of his late beloved Papa.
When finished praying, Hardi was in a daze when fierce uncle extended the back of his hand to him.
Fierce uncle's head shakes grimly showing, "Kiss the elder's hand" The man explained next.
"Hehehe sorry Uncle, I forgot" Hardi chuckled, he grabbed the big hand and then kissed it politely.
Hardi straightened himself and got ready for bed. Ah, the teenager was thinking about his mother in the village, what is that woman doing now? Curious, he dialed his mother's number.
"Assalamualaikum, Ma" said Hardi greeting.
"Waalaikum salam"
"Maunuga oe?"
(Mom what are you doing?)
"Ou Mootulua'e"
(Mom is sleeping)
"Lalambota sau upeilu, Nya meongkole tutu mokarja, Seluma mepees? Njopa nu'unga nagale jojo lae nu labong, Injo mepeese iga morawate'o?" His advice to his mother.
(Remember what Hardi said, Don't be too tired from work, Mama wants to get sick? Also, all children are far from home. If sick, who will take care of Mama later?)
"Haha... Li'o momeilu ame lapi'a lauja nu unga'e" A crisp laugh was heard from the other side.
(Haha... You advise mama like a husband rather than a child)
Hardi chuckled, "Hardi is serious!"
"Yes, I know," the woman replied resignedly.
"Then Hardi hangs up the phone, Sleepy wants to sleep"
"Sleep well, I hope you get home from there soon" Mama Hardi said.
The teenager smiled, "Yes Ma, Assalamualaikum"
"Waalaikum salam" Hardi turned off his cellphone, put it on the side of the pillow then pulled the blanket and slept.
*** PRADIT POV ***
I was relieved to see him asleep and not thinking about the ghost he had talk about at the dinner table earlier.
Honestly, I really don't understand the language this kid uses. Sounds very foreign, I have experienced life in the world for 27 years but I have never once encountered that language.
Or maybe it's just me who lacks experience walking around the city of Paru, I don't know. I myself was born and raised in the middle of the bustling city of Paru. My family are all from there. No one has ever lived in the village.
Let's ignore my identity, Now focus my eyes on the closed door. I'm still wondering about the truth of the boy's story. Is it true that he saw the kuntilanak at this door?
For myself, I don't really believe in mystical things like that. But that doesn't mean I'm blind about their existence. In Islam it's been explained that they are an unreal enemy of mankind. The conclusion is that they exist but we cannot see where they are and where they are.
From the door, my eyes wandered around our room. Hoping to find something similar to what the boy saw but nothing, The atmosphere still feels comfortable since we entered until now, I don't feel the slightest bit of strange air around here.
Apart from watching his scary face in movies, I personally have never seen him in person. That's why I really want to meet the creature that is said to be scary.
Well, I guess the creature hasn't dared to reveal itself when we're both, Maybe later if I'm alone.
I lay down and was about to sleep before Hardi's scream startled me,
"AAAH!!"
I saw he immediately got up with gasping breaths, sweat pouring from his neck and head.
"What is it?" I asked worriedly as I sat up.
His movements were stiff when he looked at me, a moment after that he immediately threw himself in a reflex embraced my body, I almost fell to the floor if my hands weren't fast enough to hold on to the edge of the bed.
"What is it?" I repeat the same question. I'm still confused, Don't know what to do to calm him down.
His breath in and out of his mouth and nose, very irregular.
"Th-that's Uncle, Har-Hardi... a dream of meeting Kunti that Hardi... talk at the table... earlier!" With a shaky breath he answered.
Ooh, So it's a nightmare, I immediately returned the hug, "Calm down, Read istighfar in your heart, Remember Allah, Next time before going to bed read a prayer first" I told him. Stupidly I even smiled when this kid was scared, Don't know why I can talk this long to a kid like him.
*** PRADIT POV END ***
Hardi's eyelids flickered, Then stopped at the wide chest covered with clothes, Also faintly felt a hand gripping his body.
"Huh?" Confused.
Looking up, he was immediately presented with a thin beard and a very calm breath. The teenager increasingly did not understand this situation. And when his memory suddenly recovered last night, Hardi is back as fresh as water.
He cursed softly, "Shit!" How shameless he was last night, Immodestly hugging fierce uncle even to the point of sleeping in the same bed with him.
Full of vigilance Hardi lifted uncle's arm fiercely while turning his body slowly. But unexpectedly, uncle's arm hugged him again, this time tightly. Hardi was petrified, what the hell?!
Klak...
"Hardi wake u....p...." Yusman's scream slowed down. Hardi is getting frozen.
Suddenly silence...
Yusman froze in the doorway when he saw the scene. Uncle hugs Hardi... Uncle hugs Hardi!!! The teenager rubbed his eyes, Maybe when he was washing his eyes there was still some dirt he passed.
But even until his eyes hurt, The real image in front of him is still there, In fact it is very clear.
He shook his head, "I didn't expect my best friend for 2 years to be gay! Mama help your child!!" Yusman exclaimed exaggeratingly as he ran from there.
"It's not what you imagined Yus!!" Hardi shouted in panic. Unfortunately, his friend didn't hear him.
With a chuckle, Hardi immediately threw Uncle's hand away from him then rushed to get a towel and ran to the bathroom.
"Aaaah shiiiiit...!" Hardi screamed in the bathroom. He cursed himself, Why did that damn creature perch in his dream?! If it wasn't for that, how could he be scared like last night!
While on the bed, Buried his head in the pillow Pradit bit his lip trying to hold back his laughter. Actually he had woken up before the teenager woke up from his sleep, but he was still lazy to move and chose to pretend to sleep.
Soon he felt the teenager's movement and then a scream came from the door. He knew it all, And it really tickled him.
It was certain that after this the child would be the subject of ridicule by his friends. Thinking of how embarrassed the teenager would be, Pradit buried his face in the pillow even more.
With a sour face, Hardi came out of the bathroom. Of course he didn't know that fierce uncle was just pretending to be sleeping with his new position with his back to him.
"Uncle is really great, he doesn't wake up even though Yusman's voice is already like a mosque megaphone" His monologue was a little amazed at the sound of the stone that uncle was afraid of.
Hardi breathed a sigh of relief after that, "But thankfully if uncle doesn't wake up, it means he doesn't know what happened, except Yusman! Huh! Just watch out for that kid until he tells the others, I'll hit him later!" He mumbled annoyed.
Snorting harshly, Hardi walked over to his backpack and simply took off his bath towel without bothering to see if the man on the bed was awake or not.
Deg!
Pradit's eyes opened perfectly. That sturdy back and toned buttocks were clearly visible in front of him!
Srak... Bruk...
A grumbling sound was heard, Hardi looked back, his brows furrowed to see fierce uncle was no longer in his bed. Squinting nonchalantly, he returned his focus to his clothes.
