Tap..tap..tap..
Darkness.
Tap..tap..tap..
I can't see anything..
Tap..tap..tap..
Drops of water falling to the floor, where am I?
"Why?" Was the first thing to fall out of my lips. A simple question displaying my confusion.
"Why? Rosie, you were always so naive and stupid." The woman scoffed, digging her nails into the skin of my cheeks. "But I never expected you to be this DUMB." I can feel the coldness of her gaze on my face despite the darkness. Such hatred I couldn't believe. An all too familiar voice.. She squinted, looking down at me. "Because he.." the woman scoffed, stating mockingly: "..He loves you."
What?
Him?
I looked around, I wasn't fazed. Honestly, I expected this to happen at some point.
'Oh,an abandoned factory..'
'How typical.'
I was addressed as 'Rosie'. Your very own actress that climbed to the top with her very own hard work. Of course, I had haters.
I looked up at her, and the realisation hit me. But acting surprised was my specialty. "...Andrea? Wasn't it?" I asked,
I was never interested in her affair, I didn't care about her existence either. But I couldn't simply ignore her when I'm under her control in such a situation.
I was met by a harsh slap on the face, that crazed woman just clapped my cheek so hard that it made me face the other way.
Then she stood up, grabbing a handkerchief from her pocket to wipe her hand as if she just touched filth. Seriously, what was wrong with her?
"Disgusting."
She spat.
Andrea's slap was hard, and I had no power to deal with her at that very moment. I was tied to the ground. Under her mercy, just the two of us.
I raised my head, giving her a cold smile, She who was sitting on a chair with her legs crossed under her tight black skirt.
I chuckled, although her slap really damaged my face, but I showed no hint of fear. I was indeed angering Andrea on purpose, testing her patience. How she acted as if she was above everyone just pissed me off.
My lips parted to speak, a soft lovely voice echoed through the room. "Please, don't go and act all classy just because you lost yourself in your own delusion. Remember who was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Andrea. It was me. Not you."
I literally said, 'I'm the princess here, stop forcing yourself to fit in.' How could I not?
She probably wanted to rip me apart, the look on her face was priceless. "Why you son of a-" Andrea stood up and was about to curse or probably beat the living lights out of me. Before she could do anything I interrupted her, oh so desperate outburst.
"I'm not a bastard child, my parents love each other to death. My mother stood by his side like a true wife should and helped him become what he is. Unlike someone.."
I didn't pause there, I chose to wear a look of confusion and sympathy, tilting my head to the side innocently, I asked: "Could it be that you're YEARNING for the love you never got from your parents..? That's why you're fighting for Cameron?"
I know how much she hates me, I have nothing on my agenda to make her like me to begin with. I didn't care. At all. She could hit me as much as she liked. But I'd rather speak up than keep it in myself for too long, especially when it was her who approached me first. Another slap fell to my face, probably harder than the last because it made me yelp. I wouldn't be surprised if Andrea's hand was red from the impact. "Shut the fuck up. You don't shake my confidence, I WON. It's YOU who's under ME."
Andrea's face reddened in anger, she was looking like a mad tomato. She was taking deep breath to calm herself down,
"Pft! Haha!" I couldn't hold back laughing in mockery, my long blonde curly hair that perfectly matched my back fell on my face like a curtain.
I watched her with an emotionless face, if looks could kill Andrea would've been long gone. I could tell she believed I could end her in a snap of my fingers.
"What are you even on about? I'm warning you, Rosie. You can't even touch me." Andrea said with that accusing finger towards my face, gritting her teeth in anger. I had no idea what to say. I just shrugged my arms after I heard her baseless warning. Only then did I tug my lips up, a smile of victory I'd call it. Something you'd give to someone to make them hate you even more. If I can affect her that much, that's an obvious win.
My deep green eyes stared at Andrea as if she was a Television, a comedy film. I giggled then took a deep breath, fluttering my eyes shut with a sigh.
"Liar." Was all that came out of my lips.
You're scared.
So scared of someone who's tied up under your legs.
Andrea stared at me in disbelief, she hated how I was reading her like an open book. "The fuck you mean!? What the hell would I lie about!" she asked in anger as she crossed her arms Infront of her chest.
I smirked, helplessly shaking my head. "Andrea, don't you take me for a fool." It was my turn to warn her, playing victim wasn't my thing. It wasn't my role.
"The only thing I might be stupid about, is the cute little drama that you convinced Cameron with. Just so you get to spend time with him while he, on the other hand, was using you to make me jealous." Her smile reached her eyes, making her eyes narrow slightly. "Bravo! What a genius plan!.. trying to make him love you but all he saw was the ugliness inside you."
Andrea stood there, her fists clenching without uttering a single word, her brows slightly frowning, "You are not scared of me, you're frightened. You say that my life is in your hands but all you could do is beat me or slap me. Hell, you're even scared to do so. Not that you're afraid of people or whatever anyone from the public eye would say about you. It's just the fact that..."
I paused for a second, my eyes searching around the place. Nobody was there, Andrea wasn't armed. She was just dumb. "You're terrified of Cameron, and me, Before him." I stated fact after fact, I saw right through her shivering frame like glass. She just stood there, words stripped off her sharp tongue. Teeth sinking into her lower lip from the annoyance she was feeling.
"...You're truly pathetic." Although I was a nice girl to most people, but I knew very well how to talk back. I had that rare ability of seeing and thinking the same way anyone Infront of her did. Just a good judge of people. And I was very well aware that words are a greater weapon than a sword. She knew that she was stabbing Andrea with a groove knife called "Logic", making her die slowly.
I snorted, continuing my reasoning. "You see, we're very different. Cameron loves true people, a woman like me who knows her own value. I never asked Cameron to love me, I tried my best to avoid him and live my own life in peace."
I eyed her slowly, a moment of silence came over, analysing her. "Unlike...hmm, well I wouldn't say 'someone'.. you're not the first nor the last person to throw herself at him or bend like a needy dog to lick his shoes."
The woman Infront of me on the other hand, was fuming in jealousy. Although, she was speechless. Unfortunately, she believed that my words were right. I was hoping she'd put something more of a fight but she didn't.
People described me as reasonable, honest and sharp. I spoke facts and never fought back with rumours. Andrea always had her confidence shaken. So, she was simply too easy to anger.
I did most of the talking that night,
"Did I hit the nail right on the head? Andr—" before I could continue my little lecture, and unless Andrea is deaf, we both heard the loud banging on the metallic gates. "Oh." I exclaimed, shaking my head with a sigh, I was actually having fun at some point. "Too bad~ He's already here." That guy truly was something, playing the part of the knight in shining armour ever so greatly.
"What?" Andrea questioned, her head snapping to the source of sound behind her. Just in a blink of an eye, the door was kicked down, revealing the tall man of twenty eight years. Dressed neatly in a suit, as he always did. With his brown hair combed back, his hazel eyes..and his hands in his pockets.
The man made his way to us in slow steps, looking angered.
The way his attention was focused on me wasn't what caught my attention, it was her.
The expression she had…the way her eyes gawked at him, eating him alive.
It made my skin crawl, just how obsessed was she?
His men surrounded Andrea, not Risking any moves from her that could hurt me.
I, on the other hand, rolled my eyes in disinterest and looked at Cameron. My mint green eyes found his milk chocolate eyes,,just then..
Only then..
Did my heart skip a beat.
"Wow..how heroic." I said sarcastically.
"Just stand up, I know you've already untied yourself." Cameron said, his gaze on me in admiration, never leaving my face for even a second. Completely ignoring Andrea who was currently held back like she was some criminal by one of Cameron's men. "Damn, you didn't have to spoil my fun.." I pouted my lips and stood up. The supposedly 'tightly tied' ropes falling to the ground leaving red marks on my skin.
I was about to approach Andrea, perhaps throw some salt on the wound as payback for wasting my time, But Cameron grabbed my hand. His thumb skimmed across my cheek gently, it was swollen red with finger marks on it. Making me hiss. Cameron's eyebrows came together.
"Are you stupid?" His deep voice came out in a growl a few seconds after.
"Why didn't you stop her?" he asked. Taking my hand in his. Bringing it up to his lips, kissing the red marks on my wrist.
But I could tell how mad he was.
"It's noth-" I tried to explain, I was conscious of the fact that Cameron loathed it when I get harmed. He'd not spare anyone. "Rosie,I do not want to hear your 'it's nothing, I'm fine.' This is not the first time this has happened. And we both know very well that you could've avoided this." he said, wrapping his arms around me, while looking at Andrea with a 'you're dead' expression.
Andrea, who was adoring Cameron just now, couldn't help but gulp in fear.
I frowned and pulled myself out of Cameron's arms. "Please,if it wasn't for your- Mmm.." My words were forced back in my throat, My lips were locked with his. It was a gentle kiss that slowly deepened.
Andrea was watching us and perhaps, she felt her heart being pulled apart from her chest.
After a few minutes, Cameron let me go, although his face was still dangerously close to mine. He'd make that sneaky move of his whenever we get mad at eachother. Saying that he doesn't want us to fight. I avoided his gaze although I was still caged in his arms. My hands pressed against his chest. He buried his face in my neck and breathed slowly. "I'm sorry." Cameron said quietly. Andrea stood there in shock.
"Cameron...no,actually.." I pushed him away, looking him right in the eyes. "Sir Cameron." I addressed him formally as I always did, I was getting Sick. Hearing that, Cameron perked his eyebrow. He didn't like that nickname. From me, atleast. "Sir Cameron?" he repeated.
"I'm..just tired of all of this." I said, my heels clacking as I made my way to the exit. "I need a break."
"Rosie! Wait!!" Cameron shouted behind me, I gave him no attention at all. I truly was tired.

He ran behind her, then he finally took one fucking second of his damned time to turn and face me. Face nothing but a crying mess. "I'll deal with you later. Leave her.."
Men dressed in black following their leader.
What the fuck did I even do to deserve this? To deserve that look of fake revulsion? Holding the glass of wine in my hand in that red dress I was left in.
"..Good fiancee they said.."
He'd mumble under his breath, the slightest of regret flashing over his face. With his fist clenched ready to punch someone in the face.
I can tell so damn well, this didn't make sense. Not out of nowhere would he choose to kick me out of his life. Let alone that, he wouldn't go against his family's wishes. What changed?
The men went by their boss's command and followed him behind, leaving me in that Hall. Looking at the scene unfold. The glass slipped from my hand. Crashing sound my ears failed to hear in the midst of my breakdown. Sadness that held me on a chokehold, Jet black, straight hair that fell over my face. Heaviness in my heart. The tears I fought so hard to keep in glistened my eyes, tears slowly rolling down my cheeks like a stormy ocean.
Must be fun, getting betrayed. Abandoned.
When the only thing you did was hold affection.
Now, you realise.
This isn't your very typical "ignore the CEO, get him" novel.
It's the story of the broken villainess.
