Sweat poured Gina’s forehead as she kept her eyes locked on the pure white wolf in front of her. His fur was spiked up, and his lips were peeled back from his fangs. His tail wagged in excitement as he stalked closer and leaped in range, only to be hit with a very small bout of fire on the muzzle. He was forced to step back, letting out a frustrated snarl.
Jecht was wearing her down. Gina knew it, it was what wolves did, and what she’d need to be prepared for when facing his new enemy. In the midst of battle, there would be far more wolves on both sides. Vampires, too, apparently… How terrifying. Still, this one-on-one combat would allow her to try and concentrate on a single enemy at a time, no matter how dizzying the fear in the situation would be. She was high on adrenaline, and this was only Jecht, an ally who wouldn’t actually hurt her.
