Chapter 23: There Is No Way I’m Not Helping

“What?” the Alpha growled, staring her down and placing his hands on his hips. “Gina, you are new to this world. You cannot join us, you will be in danger.”

“I know how to use a gun, and am just now learning magic,” Gina said, keeping eye contact and remaining persistent. She ignored those excited feelings rushing through her at the sight of Zaros. This was serious. The pang and sudden insistence to help was not only due to her stubborn nature, but her instincts as well. “I need to do this, please Zaros.”

The pack shuffled around anxiously, whispering among one another while remaining in human form. They’d take their bikes and cars to the BAI building, but needed orders from the Alpha first. His deadpan expression read that he wasn’t keen on dealing with a very stubborn human on this matter. At the moment, he wouldn’t budge, as much as his body language clearly told the story of him wanting to rush off right this second.
