Days passed and Collin and I became quite close. The first friend I had so far. We started hanging out together. Going for lunch after class, studying together, and yes movie night, which was beyond amazing. Collin is such a cool guy as you get to know him but he is just uptight when he wants to be which is intimidating of course.
Eugene on the other hand was acting weird, which was so unlike him. Then it was Friday, which as you know begins the weekend, lol every student's joy. Collin wanted to do something fun like going to a party. As shocked as I was since I never expected that of him, I was intrigued to get to know him more. He was definitely not predictable.
Yet still, I had something else in mind. Since he wanted to have fun and I don't like parties, I had a nice idea. He was gonna be mind blown. Well, I had hoped he likes it.
It was evening time, I called him up and asked him to get ready for a little adventure. "Dress casually," I told him. "Yh yh" he replied.
As the sun set and a cool breeze brushed our faces, I led Collin to the outskirts of town. The street lights flickered as we passed, casting eerie shadows that danced alongside us. Collin seemed a little uneasy, but I reassured him that everything was going to be fine. I could sense the excitement building up in me, but I had to keep it a secret for just a little longer.
When we reached our destination, Collin's eyes widened with curiosity. Before us lay an old, abandoned mansion, shrouded in darkness and mystery. I could feel the air around it tingling with secrets waiting to be uncovered. I turned to Collin, grinning, and said, "Welcome to our weekend adventure!"
He hesitated for a moment, but then his curiosity got the better of him. "You want to explore this place?" he asked incredulously. I nodded, excitement dancing in my eyes. Collin took a deep breath, his uptight demeanor momentarily replaced by a determined expression. "Alright, let's do it."
We ventured into the darkness, the mansion swallowing us whole. As we delved deeper, we discovered forgotten treasures: dusty books, antique furniture, and ancient paintings that seemed to watch us with their haunting eyes. The thrill of exploration coursed through our veins, making us forget our initial apprehensions.
Hours went by as we explored the hidden corners of the mansion, our laughter echoing through the empty halls. With every discovery, I could see Collin loosening up and enjoying himself. We were creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Finally, as the night drew to a close, we found ourselves in a cavernous room beneath the mansion. As we gazed at the darkness beneath us, a sense of awe and wonder filled the air. It was as if we had stumbled upon a long-lost world.
Exhausted and exhilarated, Collin and I sat down on the dusty floor, our backs pressed against a crumbling wall. As our breathing slowed, Collin turned to me with a smile. "You were right," he admitted. "This was way better than any party."
And in that moment, as the darkness wrapped around us like a blanket, we knew that our friendship had deepened and that we had forged a bond that no amount of darkness could ever break.
