We started off with one purpose in mind. Revenge! 
Our father was brutally murdered, and Mom died trying to protect us like she always did. She made sure to pass down her memories, information, and knowledge about her past as if knowing her end was near. 

Now it was just Debby and me. We had to fend for ourselves. The years of training, plotting, and waiting were not going to be wasted. It had been a journey, a sad one. Something I wouldn’t wish for anyone. but they were going to pay, and we would make sure of it.

THE DARKNESS BENEATH

The car stopped right inside a garage.

Eugene stepped out of the car with his suit in hand.

Eugene walked into his apartment and realized something was off.

He dropped his suit on the sofa and went straight to his office to check his cameras. Turns out he had hidden cameras all around his apartment.

Eugene was surprised to see who broke into his apartment.

Logan walked into the office with his hands in the air.

Logan: What do you mean? Can't I come visit my little brother?

Eugene asked his brother, Logan, slightly irritated.

Logan: I saw the suit. Are you going somewhere?

Eugene: That is none of your business.

Logan: Can you just be nice for once?

Eugene ignored him and walked past him to the hall.

Logan: I will be happy to tag along, you know.

Logan: Tsk, what an annoying brat.

Logan jumped onto the sofa and sat with both hands spread on the sofa head and his legs crossed.

Logan: Anyways, I wanted to check on you. Plus, Mom and Dad's death anniversary is in two days.

Logan: You do care. Why do you keep acting all tough and unfeeling?

Logan asked with a tinge of tease.

Eugene: Just answer the question.

Logan: He's good. We are just working on something at the moment.

Logan: Wow!! You are good. You really are my brother.

I didn't think it would take him that long to seek things out.

Logan: You know, things would be much easier if you just told him what you know. He was your friend after all.

Eugene: We were friends, not anymore?

You know what? I don't quite understand you both.

What is it about her that you are both at your heads because of her?

I do know there are many beautiful and sexy ladies out there for you to choose from.

Eugene: You do know he is just after her to get to me, right?

Call me crazy, but I think he's really starting to like her.

Logan: I'm just saying he might be in love with her as well, just as you are.

Eugene was in denial. There was no way Collin really fell in love with Rose.

Eugene walked into his closet, grabbing his watch and bracelet.

Logan: I'm not kidding, Eugene. I saw the look in his eyes when he spoke about her. It's almost the same as yours when you sit near the chimney holding that red rose of yours.

Eugene: Wait, how did you know about that?

Eugene questioned Logan with suspicion in his eyes.

Logan: Uhhh, I guessed it. It's definitely something you would do.

He lied. Eugene could see through his lies, but just decided to ignore them.

Logan: Look, I'm just saying don't take things lightly. If Collins truly is in love with her, that would mean you have competition.

Eugene: It's up to her to decide.

Logan: And you think she'd choose you when you've barely made a move?

Eugene: As I said, it's up to her.

Logan: You are planning something, aren't you?

Eugene: I think you should leave now.

Logan checked his watch.

And next time give me a heads-up before you barge in like a thief.
