New Quest

Javion walked with heavy steps, rage palpable as he entered his office in heat.

Instantly, he spun, shouting obscenities at Jason relentlessly.

From causing a disturbance to crippling a guard.

All his rage was verbally unleashed onto Jason. A stream of comical insults drifted out freely.

Saliva was spat everywhere on Jason's face and collar.

Finally, his anger subsided as he sat down at his desk, face in his hands as he breathed heavily.

Jason stood in bewilderment, 'What the fuck is with him?' He thought as he watched him heave at his seat.

Taking one last long deep breath, Javion calmed down. Looking at Jason, he opened his mouth to speak.

"Why are you here. I assume it's important."

Javion looked at Jason with a deadpan face. He needed an absolutely reasonable answer, or he'd go crazy again.

"I came across Salvador's son. He told me he hasn't been present in Altidor for almost a week. He went on a scouting mission and it's been almost a week. Is that normal?"

Jason emphasized "week" every time. Making sure Javion knew what mainly caused his worry.

Javion sat there, contemplating for a moment before responding.

"I didn't know it's been a week since he returned. I don't get notified when warriors return, so I assumed he was here and safe," Javion flipped through a book full of records. Past missions diverge into each tier, S-Tier having its own individual section for each person in S-Tier.

Examining each page of the S-Tier section on the Salvadors page, he searched through the details.

Jason caught a glimpse of Javion's eyes narrowing to slits, not in the menacing way, but in a way that screamed something was wrong.

Jason didn't say anything. He let the formerly enraged do his searching without Jason arousing his anger again.

Sighing, Javion peeked back at Jason, "So what do you want bringing it up here?"

"I want to go looking for him. With the players."

Javion kept his eyes locked on Jason before glancing back at the paper again.

He ran his hand along his face down to his neck, stroking his beard as he went further into thought.

While the mission to search for an S-Tier would be optimal, what about the increased Suljar activity?

That was a high risk to take with a great reward.

Javion was unaware of Jason's passive skill. 'Sense' allowed him to detect Suljars from 100 meters away.

This would aid him and his group to avoid Suljars.

The skill that assisted him greatly in escaping the Suljars at his school and can help him and his group now.

"How do you plan to circumvent the Suljars? As a group maybe you guys can defeat one, but what about two? Or if it has followers?"

Followers.

They were creatures bred by Suljars and typically followed them around with their other parent until either the Suljar died or they died.

Each Suljar-bred animal was exponentially stronger than their former species.

Although not as powerful as a Suljar, there was no doubt that they were still incredibly strong.

"I have a skill," Javion's eyes instantly widened. A skill?

None of the players told Javion anything about them possessing a 'skill'.

This came as a great shock to him and would eventually be the same to the others.

"Go on."

"It allows me to detect possible enemies or friendlies from 100 meters away."

Javion listened with open ears. From how Jason fled from the school. Being aware of the Suljar's existence while escaping beforehand saved him on many occasions.

He also explained how Jason and Jax knew each other.

Javion was surprised, albeit shortly. It wasn't uncommon for people to know each other. In fact, multiple couples, childhood friends, and buddies who were together before the apocalypse are in Altidor.

How he noticed the kidnappers, which increased his and Leo's chances of winning, although they still lost.

Then lastly, how he detected the Evolved Shrimp.

"Hmm... Okay. Tomorrow at dawn. That's when you'll be going out on the search and rescue mission," Javion handed Jason a tan envelope with paper contents inside.

Opening it, it showed a map with a medium-sized region circled on it.

"That's where Salvador was supposed to scout. Expect to find him in, or around the area."

Jason took the map and promptly exited his office, making his way down the flight of stairs to the entrance where his previous fight took place.

A large amount of ice shards lay broken on the floor, and blood from the guard's injury stained the concrete.

There was still a crowd of people outside the battle, as the meeting between Javion and Jason only lasted a few minutes.

Many eyes instantly locked onto him as he left the door, screams and shouts made their way to Jason, many insults being spewed at Jason.

He simply ignored the crowd and made his way forward. His first destination was Uma's house.

He felt like she should be the first to know along with Levi. Walking past the rowdy crowd, he ventured to where he first encountered Levi and Uma.

Remember the general direction they took, he followed.

The shadows grew deeper as night fell onto Earth, the stars shone illuminating the night floor and Altidor.

It wasn't long till he heard the playful cries of Levi along with the motherful tone of voice.

"Uma," Jason called out from the side of her.

Raising her auburn eyes, they locked with Jason's in a moment of stillness.

"Is he back?" She asked, appealing puppy eyes goggling at him. Such a sight caused Jason's heart to feel weird, but it quickly dissipated as he realized the seriousness. "No. He's not. Although-"

His words were suddenly stopped as Uma rudely cut him off, "Until he comes back, please don't come back,"

Jason stopped for a second, about to spew insults and how she should be grateful he was doing this for her, although mainly it was for Salvador's son. "I know it sounds inappropriate of me to say much, but please understand. When I saw you, a large gush of relief flew into me as I thought you somehow found him. Each time I see you I'm only going to think that you found him, only to be dragged into the ground when I find out not. So please, just listen.

She sighed as she released her eyes from Jason, pointlessly looking at the floor as Jason accepted her request and let himself out the door, although not before making a promise. "I'll find him. I swear I will." He close the door before she managed to thank him.

'I really hope he will... He can't leave me yet.'

[Alert!]

[Main Quest Issued: Search For Salvador!]

[A father who has yet to be seen, a prominent figure and an extremely powerful one.]

[Conditions: Return Salvador alive to 'Altidor']

[Rewards: Instant Level up >>> 500 EXP >>> ONE 1-Star; Tier 2 weapon or armor.]

[Failure: Salvador's Death]

[Time Remaining: ?]

A rush of notifications filled his vision and he soaked it all up like a sponge. 'A quest... A main one at that.' Previously, all of his quests have been titled as just 'Quests' none of them had a determiner such as 'Main'.

Not only did this mean more benefits, but the excitement in Jason leaped by several levels, although he also acknowledged that this meant that the search for Salvadore would be more endangering than he supposed.

'There's also the weapon rank... System, elaborate please.'

[Gear is divided into 10 different stars, each star also possessing 10 tiers. If it wasn't evident enough, the higher the star and tier, the stronger.]

'How strong is a 1-Star; Tier 1 weapon? How does it compare to the weapons before the apocalypse?'

(from this moment on, when speaking it'll be abbreviated into x(star number)T(tier)x(tier number)))

[Every weapon starts at 1-T-1, a 1-T-2 Weapon offers slightly more durability and is generally sharper than nearly every sword on Earth. You can guess what it is with armor.]

'As I expected... So a Tier 2 weapon would really help. I guess that gives me more spur to find Salvador.' He calmly thought as he began walking towards the house the 'players' resided.
