Chapter Fifty-One

ALPHA JOE POV

The constant beeping of medical equipment is the first thing I register when I finally manage to take back control off of Godric, shifting back into my human form I try to distinguish what is going on around me. After covering Jenni with our body Godric had taken full control, sending me right into the back of my mind, not letting me hear or see anything that was going on.

"Alpha please, I implore you to wait outside" the pack doctor pleads "We need space to work on Jenni and you're making everyone uncomfortable with your aurora." Bringing in my alpha aurora my eyes land on the hospital bed in front of me where a bloodied Jenni is lying, her skin that is visible under all the blood and grim that isn't bruised is pale and sweaty, she looks like she is on death's door, and my aurora slips out again in anger before I can keep it contained making them all wince.

"Why isn't her wolf healing her?" I growl out, a loud snap makes everyone flinch, looking down at my hands from where the sound came from I find the shattered remains of the bottom of the bed frame, I hadn't even realised I was clasping onto the bed.

"We think they drugged her but until I can examine her. I cannot do anything."

"Then-"

"Joe, please, please let them look after her and come out here with me. We need you." Sarah hiccups trying to hold in her sob as I hear the faint sobs of my pups in the waiting room outside, finally realising we are in the Alpha room and that I really am getting in the way of Jenni receiving medical help, I stagger back away from the bed letting the medical staff move in to treat her.

Moving towards the open door where Sarah holds her hand out to me, I glimpse Sam through it as he manages to slip out of Jet's grip and behind Sarah, before stumbling towards Jenni, trying to grab him he dodges me and the others trying to stop him. Making it to Jenni's side he clasps hold of her hand, tears flowing from his eyes as he stares down at her unconscious form.

A strong aurora suddenly appears from him, pouring out with no restraint similar to mine was only moments ago but I don't understand how it is so strong, it should be weak he has never displayed this before he is an omega wolf, is he somehow an alpha without us realising but then that would mean Jenni would be unless they had different fathers, nope this is not the time to think about this. The omega she-wolf next to him that was trying to get him to leave the room, drops down to her knees, others around him feeling the power come off him too as I see them flinching, confusion forming as they realise whom it is coming from. Shocked, I move towards his shaking body, as he tries to control his shift.

"S-S-aam-mmy, you need to calm down" my eyes flick to Jenni her voice is strained from the effort it is taking her to talk, halting me in my pace in shock, how the hell is she awake like this?

"You-" he sobs.

"Shhh" she attempts to lift her hand to his face but fails, shaking my head to clear it, I step closer to him, needing to get him out of the way so she can get treatment.

"Can't" he grits out through his clenched teeth and his eyes flicker to his wolf, shit moving faster and more carefully so I don't make Sam's wolf feel threatened, I nearly miss her next words.

"Then how about I help" she coos and suddenly I feel the energy leaving Sam, it's hard to explain but it is like his aurora is flowing into her, and I can only watch as her skin starts to gain colour slowly. "Sam I'm too tired you need to release a little more until you don't feel the need to shift anymore, that is it otherwise you are going to drain yourself and collapse from exhaustion." She tells him, her voice coming out a little more firmer now that she has gained some energy.

"No, I have to-"

"You don't. What I have said is more than enough." Her eyes flicker closed.

"Sam, how are you doing that?" I ask stepping to his side, in utter confusion, the doctor mimicking me on the other side as a nurse takes her vitals.

"We are family. So, can share energy." What the hell I have heard nothing like this before, looking at the doctor it looks like he is shocked as I am as our gazes meet.

"Is there a way I can help?" I ask Sam wanting nothing more than to help Jenni get better.

"You're an Alpha, so it might be possible. Jenni knows better. Lil can help if you let her in."

"Okay as long as it doesn't hurt either of you. What am I saying Jenni wouldn't let you do it if it did. Can you explain how to do it and I will try and help?" Sarah having heard all of what I said, calls in Lily whilst I pay attention to Sam.

"Yes. So, you imagine your energy."

"My energy?"

"Your Alpha aurora," a voice sob squeaks behind me and I step aside as Lily dashes towards us letting her squeeze in between, settling a hand on her shoulder to try and lend her some comfort she looks up at me with red puffy eyes, tears still leaking out making my heart throb even more.

"My aurora?" I ask wiping her tears off her cheeks, she nods and holds onto Jenni's wrist.

"Then you push it out in the direction you want it."

"Wait, Lil. You have to imagine what you want it to do, which is to give Jenni energy, well strength, her body will then do the rest."

"Oh, and you need to hold onto her."

"Okay" stepping to the other side of Sam I hold onto her shoulder, and try to do as they explain but my aurora just sends all the medical staff to their knees surprisingly it has no effects on the pups, strange I am a higher-ranking wolf they shouldn't be able to resist it.

'Godric, are you there?'

'I'm sorry I just wanted-'

'Do you know anything about transferring energy?' I ask him interrupting him, knowing full well he only let me have control because the doctor needed to help Jenni and he couldn't control himself.

"Alpha, it's okay we can do it, but I might be able to show you if you can give up control for a bit. Like Jenni did a moment ago for me to stop me shifting."

"I can do that." Stretching his hand out to me he closes his eyes.

'Godric, don't fight. We are going to help Jenni.' Feeling his eagerness to help, I take a deep breath.

"Okay let your aurora out again" doing as he says, I feel it flowing into him and into Jenni, how the hell? I still don't understand how they are directing it, and try to concentrate on it to learn the process.

"Sam you should stop now. Jenni would-" Lily doesn't get to finish her sentence as they both collapse, I only just manage to slow their descent as I stagger to the ground myself, feeling drained and exhausted.

"Alpha are you okay?" but I don't get a chance to respond as my eyelids close, pups cuddled up in my arms on the ground I fall asleep.
