Chapter Fifty-Two

JET POV

"Alpha are you okay?" What the hell is going on in there? I cannot believe I let go of Sam, my head is in such a scramble, and Shadow isn't helping with his frantic thoughts and his erratic behaviour. It was a nightmare getting back to the pack lands. Godric wouldn't shift back to human form or even let Joe come forward to take control back at the cabin, so with the need to have someone else to drive Cayden had to come with us too, to be honest, he looked relieved to be coming with us, his constant glances at Jenni, making Shadow more possessive of her.

Thankfully, he ran ahead as soon as we hit the treeline following our scents to get to the SUV before us to get it ready to lay Jenni down and fit a full-grown arse alpha in too. Driving back to the Evergreen Forrest territory he drove like a professional race car driver; on arrival we were met by a whole team of medical staff along with everyone else.

Three SUVs were waiting on standby too with a team of warriors ready to go to retrieve those we left behind along with the prisoners. Cayden reluctantly followed Luna Sarah's command telling him to take the warriors to the location whilst I obediently followed the orders of the medical staff who were attempting to help Jenni around an agitated Alpha wolf.

"Get some beds so we can set them up in here. I have a feeling that separating all of them right now is a bad idea and definitely not good for my health."

"I believe you are spot on with that diagnosis." Luna Sarah chuckles weakly the sadness still evident in her voice. "Are the little ones going to be okay?" I am up on my feet and moving before I give my body permission to move. Sam and Lily were fine when they entered the room, shoving the door fully open I have to do a double take as I see Joe cuddling San and Lily on the floor, all of them out cold.

"I believe so. To be honest Luna. I have never seen anything like it before but from what I can tell they are just exhausted and should be back to reigning terror on us after a good night's sleep."

"What happened? Is Jenni, okay?" I blurt my legs once again moving on their own accord until I am beside Jenni's bed on the other side to where the others are.

"Not sure. But it seems her wounds are now healing and her vitals are picking up. We will observe them all for now."

The door suddenly slamming open draws everyone's attention, all of us on high alert but we don't have anything to worry about when Scott stubbles in with a red puffy face, tears streaming down his face as he sobs, Chelsea calling for him somewhere in the distance. His tiny face frantically searches the room, his eyes landing on Jenni he falls to his knees.

Gently picking him up Sarah places him up on the bed beside Jenni where he cuddles into her side, her arm coming up unconsciously to pull him in closer to her side.

CAYDEN POV

Finally, back after retrieving the others, I head straight to the pack clinic needing to know how Jenni is, however, I only manage to get halfway when Scarlett runs up to me.

"Cayden, are you okay? Did you get hurt because of that lousy slut?"

"Scarlett. Please shut up you don't know what you are talking about?"

"All I know is since that-that she-wolf arrived everyone has been falling at her feet."

"What are you talking about?" I groan, already fed up with her voice.

"Jennifer. Since she arrived this pack has been in an uproar and as future Luna, I think you need to start-"

"Wait what? When was it decided you would be the future Luna?"

"You did remember you choose me as your chosen mate."

"Look Scarlett, I cannot do this right now. Can we talk later?" not waiting for an answer I dodge around her and head into the clinic to find the waiting room surprisingly empty, well the hell did everyone go? Using my advanced hearing I find my way to the Alpha waiting room where everyone is crowded even mum is there with my siblings and Chelsea and Poppy. "Where is Dad?"

"Asleep in there. You can go in if you want but be quiet, they are all sleeping." Kissing Mum on the top of her head I head through the door to find three makeshift beds to the side and Jet sitting behind Jenni's side. Moving over to the bed I stare down at her.

"Is she going to be, okay?"

"They think so. They won't know until she wakes up."

"And when is that?"

"They don't know. We can only wait and see."

"I hate this." Storming out I head towards the dungeons ready to take my anger out on the prisoners I'm soon stopped in my tracks again this time by Alpha Chris.

"Not tonight son. They are out cold anyway."

"But they took a member of-"

"I know and that is why we need to think about this with a cool head. Go freshen up, eat and get some sleep. We will make them pay in the morning and we will make them pay for what they have done."

"Fine" changing my direction yet again I go to my bedroom to find Scarlett sprawled out naked on my bed with her phone in her hand, I feel the disgust of Hunter coming through our link but I need to get rid of this, this feeling. Storming over to her I rip my shirt off over my head, the winning grin on her face does nothing but I need to feel something right now, her hands go to my trousers unbuttoning my trousers. Closing my eyes my mind conjures up Jenni as I feel her hand clasp me tight, warm lips wrapping around the tip, groaning I let myself get pushed onto the bed her body following and I let her pleasure me as I imagine Jenni.
