Chapter 28

Relaxing at home

Harry arrived back home while dragging Vernon who seem unconscious

.His house elf spotted them and immediately approached.

"Do you need help with that (pointing at Vernon), Master?"

"Yes, take care of it," Harry said while throwing Vernon, who was still floating, at his elf.

Harry then went straight to the couch and sat down. This has been an exhausting trip, both mentally and physically.

Moments later a female shriek was heard from upstairs.

'It seems like Petunia has found her husband.'

Vernon had a few cuts and bruises after hitting so many rocks, but it was nothing too serious.

Then, a pop was heard and Lorry appeared next to Harry.

"Master…there is… Are you feeling unwell?" The elf seem like he was going to say something else but stopped himself.

"Is nothing important Lorry. I had a long day, and I also found out that my snake Nagini II has die,d and had to bury her." Harry said tiredly.

"I see…speaking of pets…Master, didn't you have an owl?" The elf asked.

Harry's eyes opened white. "Oh Nagini III!. I left her at Hogwarts!."

"Yes well. I believe Master that your owl made its way back home. She is currently in your room and seems very upset I must add."

The elf said impassively.

"Oh," Harry muttered before going upstairs.

—----------------------------------------

"Come on, you can't be angry with me forever. I already apologized"

The owl hooter angrily at him.

It's been thirty minutes since Harry has been trying to calm the owl down.

"I'll tell you what. You can have double owl treats for a year."

That seem to do the trick and Nagini III hooted happily once again.

'Wow, this owl is a glutton…I have to inform Lorry about the arrangements.'

—--------------------------------------------

A week later Harry received a message from Cobb & Webbs informing him that his nymph blood is finally ready.

He proceeded to send Lorry to get the ingredient. Harry went to his room, sat down on his couch, and started to ponder about his final ritual.

'With this, I'm only missing some basilisk blood to perform that ritual, and I know exactly where to find the best and most ancient basilisk in existence.'

He has already performed two rituals to improve his physical capabilities to the peak of what's humanly possible.

The last ritual he has planned however is very different. This is a ritual that uses a wizard's soul as a sacrifice to improve one's magical potency.

It is one ritual he did not dare perform in his past life. The book containing this ancient magic came from Egypt, and in it, there are many warnings. One of them said that this ritual must only be performed once in a lifetime because of the strain it puts on the user's soul. Repeated attempts will result in a soul fracture or even complete destruction.

Because his soul was already fragmented due to the use of Horcruxes, he never dared to perform this ritual. But now he has a complete and powerful one so there should be no problems.

'The only question that remains is, who would be the sacrifice?.'

When he came out with the idea to use this ritual, he was planning on collecting all of his Horcruxes and then using them as sacrifices. In some way, he would be reabsorbing what he once lost, and gaining power that way.

Now, he wasn't so sure anymore. His fragments seem to have gained conscience of their own and that may complicate things. Absorbing so many consciences at the same time could affect his own mind.

'I don't need to decide just yet, there is still time.'

—------------------------------------------------------

The next morning Lorry knocked on his door.

"Master, I believe there is something wrong with your aunt sir. You may want to take a look."

Harry looked up from his desk. 'Something wrong with Petunia? mmm. Well, she has been looking a bit sickly since the start of the summer.'

"Alright, I'm coming."

He went downstairs and saw Petunia laying on the couch. She had big black circles under her eyes and seem to have trouble breathing.

"Oi. If you are not feeling well, you can go to your muggle doctor." Harry told her.

Petunia looked at him briefly before standing up with difficulty. "I-i am fine. I already went to the doctor. He just said I needed more rest, thats a-all. I-m j-just tired…"

She started making her way to the kitchen slowly. "I-i need to make breakfast."

Harry put his hand under his chin "mmm, always tired, and the doctor can't find anything wrong…" He then thought of a possibility.

"It can't be! is too soon."

Lorry who was next to him asked.

"Master?. Do you know what is wrong with the muggle?"

"Well, is just a remote possibility but. She is currently linked to the wards, powering them. That would put a toll on her vitality, eventually…. but is too soon."

"I see. And how long would the wards take to deplete her vitality Master?" Lorry asked curiously.

"According to my calculations, she still has at least three or four y-"

Harry was interrupted by a loud crashing sound coming from the kitchen. Petunia was on the floor, along with several kitchen utensils.

Lorry went swiftly to her side and check on her condition.

"She is not dead, isn't she?" Harry asked, a bit perplexed.

"Very dead sir," Lorry asked with his usual straight face.

"I see. " Harry said, pensively. "I must have messed up the numbers somewhere." A loud noise coming from upstairs interrupted Harry's contemplations.

"TUNY!." Vernon screamed when he saw his wife on the floor.

Once he realized that she was dead, he turned to Harry. Vernon's face was filled with rage.

"YOU!, YOU KILLED HER, YOU MONSTER." Vernon spat.

"Well…not directly. But I suppose I did kill her, yes." Harry admitted

Vernon lost the last of his wits and prepared himself to attack his nephew when chains appeared out of nowhere and wrapped around him, locking him in place.

"None of that, uncle. We have much to do now." Harry pulled his wand, pointed it at Vernon, and said.

"Imperio."
