Neji Recruiting His First Subordinate

HELLO, my new story is out, check the link in the first comment or click this story's main page or my author's profile page. It is about an MC transmigrating into a villain-type character, with a strong background, in a fantasy world and going against different "Sons of Destiny".

.

.

It is a Western-middle age fantasy, swords, and magic, world setting. But, it is similar to those Chinese "Villain-type" novels plot-vise if you know what I'm talking about. If you don't know what that is, just ignore that part and see for yourself. If you liked this story and the MC, you will like that new one even better!

.

.

.

But the mechanics of writing will be better here, as I advanced my writing skills, and as I will have way more stuff to write about there, and it isn't a constrained and limited world of fanfiction, there wouldn't be a need for so many info dumps, to fill in the pages, like here. Stay tuned!

They slowly walked toward the exact coastal area across which was Orochimaru's secret hideout that Neji needed to visit next. Though, he didn't inform his new companion of that yet. Kiyomi was silent during their walk all along, barely composing herself even now from those previous scenes of different explosions of chakra energy. And, while they were walking, Neji checked over the situation behind them, a couple of times, with his Byakugan sight. Kiyomi eventually looked at Neji and his now white eyes, after he checked the situation of that destroyed field once again, and finally asked suddenly,

"What happened to those two, did you kill them...?", She clenched her fists and felt that she was dreaming while suddenly remembering those silver vortexes Neji summoned to create those colossal craters in the land below. In fact, it was the first time she learned humans could even fight like that, not just Neji, but Itachi and Kisame used moves of similar sizes and powers as well. She was used to using weapons and making traps before, but this was simply alien-like fighting of nearly island-level scale. She was also disappointed in herself and dejected that she needed to be saved from her most hated people and that she didn't manage to get her revenge yet, "They didn't die but they're badly injured. They already left...", As they walked, Neji looked at her and replied, "I'll keep my promise, you'll get the revenge!", He determined their situation.

He was fairly surprised by the means they used to survive against his strongest attack combination there. They were injured badly yes, but he was also out of his chakra nearly completely. They fared better against him than he previously thought. He was now thankful that he decided to test his maximum back then or else he would've never truly known what he was capable of. He could defeat them, however, only because they decided to fight to the end, and at the huge cost of all of his chakra reserves. Had they decided to run away, two peak Kage levels, he doesn't think that he would be able to stop them. Neji also wasn't too worried that they would report it back to the Akatsuki.

Neji's strongest gravity binding attack got them immobilized in place successfully. And from the small Tenseigan chakra-infused Truth-Seeking Balls, nearly half of Kisame's body was torn out before he used Samehada, at the last minute, to fuse it with himself and preserve his life. Itachi's Yata Mirror, as it was also a five natures transformation tool, like Neji's Truth-Seeking Balls, albeit a weaker version, was also shattered, alongside Itachi's Armored Susanoo, so he had to use, in the last second, his Totsuka Blade to seal a couple of last parts of Neji's attack coming at his then exposed body.

In the end, Itachi nearly collapsed from pain, and Mangekyo's temporary blindness, while Kisame got half of his whole organism destroyed and fused with Samehada in a slow process to recovery. Neji was surprised at Kisame's crazy durability and wondered if Itachi could recover and fight against Sasuke later like in the original. Due to his Mangekyo over-usage this time, maybe he won't need to pretend to lose against Sasuke, while they fought, maybe he would truly lose against him.

However, fights in this world weren't always so straightforward. It wasn't strange for someone to leapfrog and defeat or even kill a usually stronger opponent through terrain or critical information advantage or someone's abilities could simply be countered by a seemingly weaker opponent. Take for example Itachi and Kisame Neji just battled. Even though he classified both of them as peak Kage level, Itachi was still considerably stronger than Kisame in actual fights due to his arsenal of abilities. Kisame had no counter against Itachi's genjutsu and Itachi wasn't wasting too much chakra in fights so that Kisame's Samehada could pick it on and make him stronger during the actual clash. There were also power differences in subclasses themselves, as this world wasn't black and white.

Both Itachi and Kisame were one of the strongest members inside the Akatsuki, only weaker than Obito and Nagato. Neji defeating them truly proved to him that he was really on a Six Paths level of power he constructed inside his mind. It was a level above the Kage level based on his experience.

'That's great...', Kiyomi sighed in relief, a large stone falling off her heart. She was really worried that she would have to live forever in despair because she wasn't the one who killed her biggest enemies herself. Now that she heard Neji's response, she looked at him directly, her eyes burning with desire and greed for strength and wrath against those two, "Can you really make me strong enough to kill those two on my own just like yourself?", They suddenly stopped in place in silence.

Neji noticed that they now stood right at the part of the coast across which was Otogakure's secret hideout. So, he decided to stop for a while and recover a bit of chakra required to cross there. He looked at the girl's short and alluring appearance, and couldn't believe that she didn't appear in the original series. She would've probably been in the top three of everyone's female hotness tier list.

However, his face still remained very serious and stoic, as he didn't want to make the wrong first impression. He noticed that he became more different, assertive, and strange ever since he escaped the Curse Mark. He started thinking about many different things that were made forbidden by him decades ago. For example, engaging in pointless fights just out of pride, and having a long-lost interest and curiosity for the opposite gender. Throwing those strange thoughts out of his mind, he replied calmly, "Yes, as I said, you can trust me completely. And to prove it right away, let's talk about what you already know about the Mangekyo Sharingan. You can also tell me a little bit about your background as well.", Neji wanted to get see how much she already knew and her background.

Kiyomi looked with some hesitation at his serious face, but then started speaking about her whole history and background, and after a few minutes, she touched on the Mangekyo Sharingan, "I only know that this is the evolution of our ordinary Sharingan requiring the extreme amount of mental disturbance to unlock. Everyone who gets it has the ability to use Susanoo and two unique new abilities of each eye. It is extremely rare to acquire.", She also mentioned her late father and his abilities.

'Her father got some really interesting abilities to increase and decrease his Susanoo size right from the get-go without being proficient in it. Pity he was probably burned down by Itachi's Amaterasu!', Neji thought that at first that maybe he could revive him later, however, it seemed that it was impossible, 'It is impossible even with Rinnegan due to how much time passed already since then.'

"Then do you know about the cost of Mangekyo Sharingan usage?", Neji nodded and spoke again.

"Cost? Meaning the chakra cost? It also felt very painful when I used it just now...", Kiyomi answered him curiously. Neji noted that she probably didn't know about the potential blindness from using it.

"The price exacted from possessing the Mangekyou Sharingan is blindness and the more one uses the eyes then the faster they lose their eyesight. Each time one of its techniques is cast, it causes a physical backlash upon that eye which damages their nerves, vessels, and delicate components. In the immediate sense, this results in the wielder suffering intense pain and even increasingly worse bleeding from that eye but long term this has the permanent effect of weakening their vision.",

"Over time, they experience episodes of disorienting double vision and their eyesight becomes increasingly dim and blurry, even with the Sharingan's supernatural acuity, until they cannot see anything. If one never used the Mangekyou Sharingan, it would take decades to go blind. But anyone who awakens this power is unlikely to ever avoid using it if needed. The rate at which the eyes lose their vision depends on how many times they are used and how often they are used.", Neji patiently explained everything he remembered from his previous world regarding the matter.

Kiyomi opened her mouth wide and turned a little white she personally experienced the exact same sensation just now while she used her abilities to try and escape those two. She didn't expect that after she finally became a little stronger, there was that kind of price to pay. She was really unlucky.

"However, don't panic, you just awakened your Mangekyo Sharingan and used it for the first time today. You didn't do too much damage. There are still two ways to solve this problem of blindness. As for how I know about all of this, Hyuga and Uchiha are both ancient clans, I read about it in my clan secretly.", After listening to him, Kiyomi sighed in relief once again, now thankful to him for telling her everything. Had she not met him today, even if she survived due to some miracle, she would've still used her Mangekyo abilities later indiscriminately and destroyed her eyesight. She didn't doubt him, her father was just an Outer Elder, and it was normal for her not to know about it.

"The first way to solve your problem is acquiring an Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. The one that can never lose its light and could be called the last stage of your clan's Sharingan doujutsu. But, that can only be achieved by an Uchiha replacing their Mangekyou Sharingan with the eyes of a direct blood relative, such as a sibling, parent, or offspring, who has also achieved Mangekyou Sharingan.",

"If their compatibility is great enough, the host's chakra mixes with the donor's chakra in the transplanted eyes to trigger another transformation. This merge is reflected in the new pattern of the eyes which are a combination of the host's and donor's original ones. Those with an eternal Mangekyou Sharingan possess all the powers of their original eyes and their vision is permanently restored. The doujutsu's abilities are actually no more powerful than before. However, you should be able to get rid of the potential blindness and would also get a small chakra boost in your body..."

"But, I don't have any blood relatives left...", At this Kiyomi felt disheartened. Her father's body was probably destroyed by Itachi and Kisame after she managed to escape and the Uchiha clan was wiped out completely. There weren't any relatives left now. She clenched her fists bitterly in hatred toward Itachi again. She brightened up again after remembering that Neji mentioned another way.

"That was the official resolution for that problem of your Uchiha clan. However, I thought of another way to recommend to you. By infusing your body with the First Hokage's Senju cells, with amazing regenerative and life force properties, you would be able to use your eyes without problem in the future and get the same effects as the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. He was the person with the best self-healing ability in the whole of history. You just need to transplant them.", Neji finally came to the point, "The First Hokage's cells? But, how do I find them...?", Kiyomi looked at him curiously.

"You don't have to worry about it, I have those cells in my possession. I may also currently be the only person in the whole world who could perform that procedure on you safely and relatively easily Kiyomi. After that, you should train your Mangekyo Abilities, and determine their full potential, scale, and cooldown durations. And then I have another unique way to make you acquire a full Perfect Susanoo, which not many people in history had. In that way, I think you would be able to kill Itachi, who was now near the end of his life due to the over usage of his Mangekyo just now, and Kisame Hoshikagi, his partner. You just need to follow me as your leader.", Neji explained further. He planned to later share with her Kato's soul jutsu to improve her spiritual, yin powers for the Susanoo. Knowledge was truly power in this world and Neji, fortunately, had a plentiful of that.

Kiyomi suddenly looked at his face astonishingly. She didn't know why, however, she believed him, 'Well, he could easily kill me now and take my Sharingan away instead of helping and guiding me like this, and wasting his time... He seems sincere... Is it really fate that I met him in such an unexpected way? Neji Hyuga...', Even though Kiyomi's whole being could only think about revenge against Itachi, at the moment, she was still very thankful for Neji. If he truly managed to help her achieve her revenge, her only purpose in life, as he said, then she doesn't mind him becoming her next purpose in life. She would even give her life for him, at that point, not to mention working under him or listening to his orders. She would even work for the devil now if it meant revenge.

His young age but such an earth-shattering power already proved many things to her, it spoke for itself. Not to mention, just looking at his previously unseen dojutsu gave her some clues about his means. She traveled the whole world from when she was a child before, but she never saw anything like his previous display of power. She already viewed him as some kind of world-class powerhouse despite his age or previous Hyuga clan branch affiliation. She knew how powerful those two were.

"Well, Kiyomi Uchiha, you are a very smart person for listening to me. You're my first subordinate, welcome to the team! Don't worry, now that you're with me I will help you to the fullest. Just like I myself managed to escape nearly impossible, I will make you break your fate and limits as well!", Neji smiled, the thought of helping another previously unknown person rising high excited him.

"Ah yes, I nearly forgot! You know Itachi is currently in the Akatsuki right? Do you know who they are? Well, that is not everything you should know about him. The reason why he slaughtered your clan. It was because he did it on the orders of Konoha higher-ups, not because he was a maniac!", Kiyomi opened her eyes wide as Neji started explaining to her the full story that she didn't know.

He explained to her about the Akatsuki first and then the whole history between Uchiha and Konoha, Danzo, how he manipulated young and idealistic Itachi, isolating him, and then giving him the false dilemma about his brother and world peace. Kiyomi's eyes involuntarily turned into Mangekyo once again and her yin soul powers promptly increased. Seeing that Neji thought amusedly, she was now many times angrier than before at Itachi for being so stupid and choosing his village instead of his clan, 'Tobirama was right, they were really a crazy clan. Their emotional states are directly related to their spiritual and dojutsu powers.', Neji sensed her state right away.

"Thank you... thank you, Neji, for telling me everything! I owe my whole life to you! Just... after I kill Itachi, can I go after Konoha as well...?", Kiyomi, still blinded by anger, was unsure if he would allow that. But, she would respect his orders. It can't be described how indebted was she to him for telling her the whole story. If he tells her to not go against Konoha, and instead, stay with him to repay him, she would then have to agree. After all, he would give all of that for her, so that she goes and kill herself against Konoha? What use was then she to him and all that help he wasted on her? There was no free lunch in this world, she knew that from a very long time ago. It was impossible for him to agree to that, and she didn't blame him at all. However, she still wanted to ask. Itachi, Konoha, Danzo, and even Itachi's beloved brother Sasuke. She desired to slaughter them all now!

She wanted to kill Sasuke as well and then give Itachi the same kind of pain she and all of those Uchiha clansmen experienced because of his stupid decisions and servile attitude toward the Konoha. Her father was a pacifist who opposed the coup, he even went to the economic part of their clan because he hated fighting and killing, but he was still ruthlessly chased out and murdered by Itachi alongside her mother. How could she not hate him, she now hated him ten times more than ever before for his hypocrisy. If he loved Sasuke so much, then she would kill him for revenge!

"Don't worry. What is the little Konoha? If you want to destroy the whole village, I would even help you! Your problems are my problems as well. You just need to listen to me and train like it's your last day. For in the future, threats many times more dangerous than Konoha will come to this world and you need to help me!", Neji spoke resolutely and then looked at the sky a little bit. He didn't forget about those other-worldly beings with genetics many times superior to his own. They even came to his dreams from time to time. He was really apprehensive about them and their powers all the time. He hated feeling inferior to anyone and the thought of them gave him enormous unease.

Kiyomi composed herself a little and then glanced at the tall teenager, beside her, in white floating kimono and with scattered black hair in surprise, 'Who knows what this guy is hiding...? He's so eternal like he's not from this world!', She was astonished he even wanted to help her against Konoha and disregarded them like they were nothing, but now seeing his gaze at the sky, she realized that he was no ordinary person like herself and the rest of this world, he was otherworldly!
