Chapter 27: Steel Pandas

With his new weapon, Allen was confident in killing all six steel pandas in less than two hours.

He first scouted the area to make sure there are only six pandas and not anymore.

He checked his mana storage and made sure that his mana is more than 80% so he could fight these pandas without any worrying about mana.

He was continuously refining his mana four times a day and because of that his mana purity increased to 60.79%

It has become a bit easy for him to manually purify mana after levelling up to the low-level specialist stage.

He wanted to increase his mana purifying to six times a day to see if he is able to do it.

It is still difficult for him to increase his mana purity as the block in purifying the mana is strong. He had purified his mana a few dozen times to increase it by 0.79% after reaching 60%

He took his knight-grade sword from his sheath after confirming that there are only six pandas in the area.

He asked Serina to take care of the mid-level specialist stage panda and another panda whose strength is a bit close to the mod-level stage.

Allen can handle the rest of the four pandas easily. He also started circulating the mana exercise as he was stuck in the 9th move of the 3rd set for a while.

He also started to circulate mana exercise because he found that circulating mana exercise under pressure will help him increase his moves and create seals faster.

He started walking towards the group of steel pandas along with Serina.

The pandas started to growl to threaten the human and the wolf heading into their territory.

Serina growled back at the mid-level specialist stage panda and the one having closest to its power as a challenge.

Those two pandas accepted the challenge and went towards her while the. The remaining four pandas stayed vigilant of Allen but did not make their move.

He walked slowly but steadily to the remaining pandas. He injected mana into his mid-level knight-grade sword to cover it with his fire ability.

The four pandas used their ability and turned their skin to steel which is good in defence as they lack offensive abilities.

The pandas started to move towards Allen to attack him. Their speed is slow compared to his, so he was able to easily defend against the pandas' attacks.

He only felt little pressure from their attacks due to the knight-grade sword absorbing most of the force from the impact.

If it was his grade-2 sword, he could be vomiting blood as those attacks from steel-covered pandas are powerful.

Allen continued to defend for fifteen minutes while circulating the mana exercise so he could improve it.

He was able to complete the 10th move and started the 11th move before he decided to attack as he has to complete the fight soon.

Only by completing the fight soon, he will be able to collect their meat and leave the forest before dark.

He checked on Serina before starting his attack. As usual, she was playing with her prey.

Allen has instructed her not to cause more damage to the pandas as he will not be able to sell damaged meat at a high price.

'Slash... Puchi'

Allen started his attack by slicing his sword into the neck of the strongest panda he was fighting. He was surprised to see his attack cut deep.

He almost cut half of the panda's neck and with this injury, he was sure that the panda will die in a few minutes.

'Ssshh... Thud'

He pierced his sword at the second panda directly towards its heart and it fell on the ground the next second with a loud thud.

The remaining two pandas started to run after seeing the other two pandas die in a single swift strike.

This made Allen's work easy in killing the two pandas.

He started collecting the meat and mana cores from the four pandas he killed.

Since the defence of the steel pandas was great, it took him thirty minutes to collect the meat.

By the time he finished collecting the meat, Serina also finished killing the two steel pandas she was fighting.

Allen collected the mana core and meat of those two pandas. He kept the meat in the special meat containers he bought in the hunter's guild.

He kept the mid-level specialist stage steel panda meat for himself and Serina and decided to sell the rest.

He also decided to keep the mid-level mana core so he could use it for his knight-grade sword.

He still had another hour to hunt in the woods, but he didn't want to overextend his luck and started back to get out of the forest.

His storage backpack was almost full because of the steel panda meat and he wanted to sell it as soon as he can.

He came out of the forest without any incidents and called for an armoured cab to take him back to Central city.

He boarded the armoured cab when it arrived and it took him twenty minutes to reach the city.

He went to the hunter's guild to sell the meat and collect his reward.

He entered the hunter's guild and was welcomed by the receptionist with a warm smile.

"How can I be of help?" the receptionist asked Allen with a professional smile on her face.

"I want to sell the steel panda meat and complete the mission." he replied to the receptionist.
