Chapter 49: Into the Forest

We went into the forest. I took my bow and created an arrow just in case to kill monsters that are coming in.

We were told to go to the middle of the forest to hunt the most powerful monster in the forest. I had the bow to kill most of the monsters that come to us during our journey to the middle of the forest.

We kept going into the forest with vigilance and our trainer Hoger was coming with us to rate our performance in the forest hunt. The monsters we were told to hunt were a bit less powerful than the robot we fought yesterday.

So, we were having confidence that we can kill the monsters and take their remains with us. If one of us is very close to dying, Hoger will save us, so we do not have the do or die option here too.

I started to kill the low-level monsters that comes close to our group when we moved toward our destination. The wind element was so helpful for me to kill those monsters in just one shot.

Hoger had an appreciative look when he saw that it will take years for a warrior to bring it to the level I have brought in a single day.

I need to upgrade my bow skills as I couldn't kill some low-level monsters in a single shot. But was able to injure them badly to quit following us.

Hoger was still happy with my bow skills with the fire and wind elements as it took me just a single night to bring it to this type of perfection. In another few days, I will be able to use it in full effect.

We continued to the destination that was provided to us by Hoger. We are yet to know which monster we will be hunting after we get there.

We also saw a few groups of people hunting monsters in the forest while we were going to the destination. We didn't get any opportunity to hunt those monsters as Hoger restricted us from it as we need our full strength to hunt the monster he wants us to hunt.

He gave us permission to hunt the monsters outside our destination only when the people are in danger and need any outside help to complete their hunt.

We calculated and know that we will reach our destination in another one hour and we got ready physically and mentally to hunt the strongest monster we have ever faced in the forest.

I let Serina out and told her to keep a lookout for monsters that might come to attack us while we are on our way to the destination. She will fight and kill some low-level monsters as we do not want to waste our energy doing it.

Hoger gave me good appreciation seeing me letting Serina out to cover our track and kill low-level monsters. After hearing that, others also let their pets out to do the same.

We were strictly instructed not to use our pets in the missions that we are sent until the training is completed. So I can only let her fight low-level monsters and will ask her to come inside me after we reached our destination and start hunting the monster that we are about to face.

We are still worried about our pets as this place is more than dangerous for our pets to roam alone. We have already instructed them to be within fifty meters of the group, but it is still too long for us to help them if they need our help in fighting a monster.

I kept an eye on and always checked the whereabouts of Serina telepathically every five minutes just to make sure she is fine. I am not sure what others are doing to keep their pets safe or if are they checking on their pets as I did. I didn't want to ask this them.

I didn't want to become close to the trainees as we will be separated after our training is completed and I will not be able to see them for my entire life. This is one of the important points that was informed to me by Kamran's father Joe when I came to join the warrior's guild.

We will be sent to different places for different missions depending on the points we get during our assessments and test missions. I know we will be sent to different places as all of us are not at the same power level and we all have different types of attack and defense styles.

I am just worried about not getting enough points to get the crystal with the battle rune which will help me to increase my battle power easily. I am planning to get more points than others in any way I can.

Since I am in the Corporal stage and have two elements in my power source, it should be easy to get the points, but I am still worried as I am an archer and not a close combat expert.

Warriors guild always prefer the close combat warriors over the long-range attackers for some reason. No one knows the reason for it while they are in training. I can only find the reason once I complete the training and get my first mission.

I was very upset since I am only good with my bow than my sword. But I am somewhat okay with close combat also and I am creating my style to fight with the bow in close combat.

I hope that the warriors guild will make an exception for me while giving me points and allowing me to take a crystal and giving me missions like other trainees.

I would like to go to the place where Kamran is since I will already have a friend in that place and will be able to fight together with him on the missions.

We finally reached our destination and we were shocked by seeing the monsters that we are about to hunt. We are going to attack Corporal level Elephants which we will have difficulties to hunt since there are five of them here together.
