Chapter 9.

Zach's POV.

After breakfast Eve had to get ready for work at her small company.

Well small in corrolation to her families masssive buisness. BUt it was a compnay that she created all on her own, without any assistance from her family. Well ok so maybe I helped out a little bit here and there witht the connections that I had made.

But that company was her baby.

"Tch I dont know why you even bother going into that pathetic company of yours." One of her cousins sneered. Her name was Chloe.

"I made the company all on my own so of course I would work their." Eve said while she picked her purse up and started to walk towards the door.

"Y-you good for nothing lover!" Chloe screamed out.

She was clearly trying to rattle and belittle Eve for marrying me. I looked over and saw that Eve's expression was cold. However she didnt say anythig and just walked out the door.

I followed along behind her. Like a lost puppy following the smell of food on the street, that's how I looked.

We walked towards her car and I was pleasently surprised to see a familier face standing guard over her and acting as her driver.

I put my head down a little and smiled. Eve saw me as asked if something was wrong.

"What is so funny." She asked.

"Haha nothing, nothing at all." I said as I stood up straight and walked passed her towards her bodyguard.

After I came into view of him, the look on his face was priceless.

"Cain! What are you doing here." I said as we gave eachother a bro hug.

"Well you saved my life during 'those' days and I knew you were just going to shrug it off and not let me make it up to you. So when I got out I remember you talked about your wife. When I looked her up she was hiring security guards and drivers so I applied." He said with a smile.

As he finished Eve had finally caught up and heard everything.

"How do you know my bodyguard again?" Eve asked still trying to comprehend what she just heard.

"Well?" Cain was trying to explain how we knew eachother when he looked over to me scratching his cheek. He clearly didnt want to be the one to tell his boss about his old job. Coward.

Ever the leader I had to step up, again.

"We served in the army together." I sadi and I gave Eve the look that said 'please don't ask anything else about it'. She seemed to get my hint. Thankfully.

"Will this affect how you work with me, Cain?" Eve asked.

"No ma'am I will treat you the same as I always have."

"Good then let's get going or I am going to be lae for work."

"Yes ma'am."

After that we both got in the car and Cain drove us to her office. The entire time I was getting cold stares from not only Eve but also Cain.

Thankfully we reached our destination, Eve's company.

MOON ENTERTAINMENT.

It was a small talent agency that Eve started up all on her own. Though it was small it was quickly growing by being able to find hidden talents from all around the globe.

I was excited to finally be able to see all of her hard work for my self, in person. I did keep tabs on her throughout the years i just made sure to stay hidden.

Cain dropped us off out front and Eve and I headed inside.
