Elijah stepped into the elevator behind, he’d called for the woman to hold the elevator but she didn’t seem to care, or her attention was elsewhere, safe to say she just joined the list of people that found it nice to annoy him.
Starting with the call he’d received that morning, the masked angel leaving should be on that list too but he was deceiving himself saying she hadn’t ruined his mood when she left so early in the morning, he heard when she left so it was on him for not stopping her. That too, he didn’t want to admit. He’d wanted to stop her, the emotions she was arousing in him were ones he didn’t like.
After he’d dealt with the phone call he drove to work, his driver had a family emergency and had sent him a message since the night before but he was too busy to notice, he needed a second driver like Camille had suggested. As though all those weren’t enough he had to deal with his private elevator being out of service and having to use the one in the building.
