Chapter 2 - THE BOY WITH A RED UMBRELLA

Not every rain drop has a story behind it, not every heartlessness has to have a destination. And most importantly not every frowny face has any bitterness beneath the surface.

(THE BOY WITH A RED UMBRELLA)

When Anna opened her eyes she found herself in front of a young handsome man, with a beautiful smile and wide colourful eyes, he said “Hello Anna, want to hear a little story?, there was a little boy with a cute smile, he met a girl once, unlike him, she never smiled as widely as he did, her eyes had a sort of darkness in them, and her face as pale as it was, had a gloominess about it. The moment he met this girl his eyes lit up, it seemed as though he had spotted something more beautiful after a long time, the twinkles in his eyes were as gorgeous as the stars in the sky on a moonless night.

So, tell me, how was your first day with Miss Messie, it was interesting wasn’t it?” and with a sudden sigh she looked at the man in front of her with a wide smile on his face and said, “It was something else, but who are you exactly?”

The look in her eyes portrayed the restlessness she kept inside of her, while they were able to keep a beautiful tune inside them as well. Mostly of all, the vague scariness of her lips was hardly visible, as the paleness of her skin with her veins popping out showed us the discontent she kept feeling.

“Well, I’m Dave, Dave Brown, but you can call me Mr Brown, I’m the assistant here”, Dave answered, with a little smile as his big, deepened dimples popped up. Then Dave said, “Want to know a little secret? The vibe Miss Messie keeps have always been different, her office never really gets much light, it just shines on one specific spot, and that the patients spot. She likes keeping a close eye on her patients and you might have not noticed, but she hardly accepts many patients, she has a policy which follows strictly, before agreeing on a specific patient

Because she enjoys watching people from afar, it’s a weird habit, and for the past twenty years, not to mention that I have worked with her since day one, believe it or not, but you’re her first impulse patient. Interesting enough you look a lot like her very first patient Amy as well. She was miss Messie’s favourite, I could never really point out what she really liked about that young girl. Guess you can help me find out then. Its really puzzling you know, how can you have her exact face, down to the little mole on the right side of her lips, although you look like a natural blonde, she had long, beautiful brunette hair. I guess that is the only difference we can use to really tell you two apart.”

“She spoke about meeting me tomorrow, what did miss Messie mean by that?”, Anna interrupted, as Dave tried to continue speaking attentively about miss Messie. And with a sudden sigh answered and said, “That’s just a follow up on today’s session, since you were not able to do much in today’s session, tomorrow will be a substitute instead. do not worry too much about her eye contact, she tends to go a little overboard when it comes to observing each patient eyes for their honesty and authencity.”

The awkwardness between the two of them started to subside, and in a matter of minutes the aura which resided between them was more pleasing than, what had seemed to be a very tense situation changed into something more warming and utterly interesting.

As he sat right in front of her at about five-steps away, with a curious look on his face, and with the most scariest grin, with her eyes completely popped out and a half opened mouth, she slowly got off from her chair and took two-steps towards Dave, and when she attempted to take a third step, she suddenly stopped and said, “ what happened to the boy with a cute smile?” “Well Anna as I was saying, the boy met someone which he found gorgeous, and when you find something gorgeous/ beautiful, you always want it to be in your possession right. But the girl refused, and no matter how hard he tried to persuade the girl, she would not budge.

This happened for 4 seasons, and when it was Summer, when the sun shined at its brightest and each as each leaf would bath in the sunlight she smiled, a beautiful solemn smile, and as he tried his best to contain his happiness, he hurriedly rushed to the young girl and embraced her very tightly. His faced shuttered away, on her shoulders as she gladly returned his embrace with a little cute chuckle, her eyes had finally twinkled and with her red Rosey lips her smile radiated through each corner of the world, blessed by the beauty which had befallen it. So, tell me what do you think would have made the girl suddenly Happy? Think about that and answer me tomorrow after your session okay.

And with a curious smile, she got up from the chair, slowly whispered and said, “bye Mr Dave”, and took to the stairs, slowly cruising towards her bag, dragging her feet as slowly as she can until she reached the lower floor and finally walking out of the building.
