(BEFORE DAWN BREAKS)
LET ME TELL YOU A LITTLE SOMETHING, …
Do you know the story about a girl who couldn’t see? she had the most beautiful smile to ever grace this world, no body knew where her smile came from. She would always keep her own self company, and grew up with not even a single friend, every person who knew her thought that she could not speak, she always kept her mouth mum without uttering a single world for almost all her life. There was a specific place where she would feel the happiest. The town had a very big field which they used to grow their flowers, and once every year, when summer was at its brightest, the flowers would bloom so beautifully that you would believe that they had been kissed by God himself, and every year when the time came for the flowers to bloom, the girl would be the last person to visit them. She would lie right in-between the flowers and weep her eyes out as she slept there for hours, no person ever cared enough to ask what it was which made her weep when she came to the field every year. And even when she would weep herself to sleep, she would still have that beautiful smile on her face.
Her eyes twinkled at the light the that the stars at night, the field had the sincerest sight of the moonless night which blessed the town after witnessing the beauty of the flowers in the field. She would stare intently at the sky, so much that she would soak in all the beauty of each star as they all glimmered at the sight of her smile, her cheeks, as chubby as they were. They had the palest skin on them, and her lips changed with the tides, as the night started to disappear from its place, she would slowly start to move back to her home. And as she walked on her path towards her house, the night gave light to her darkened path until she reached the doorstep at home. When she opened the door, she spoke with tears filled in her eyes, “The night is beautiful tonight, as beautiful as your voice. I wished you had witnessed it with me.” And a smile creeped on her face once more. She kept her face grounded to the floor as she approached her mother.
The mother cried so much that night, tears started streaming down her face and she embraced her child warmly, that the child could feel the beautiful love her mother did her best to keep contained.
Those were the only words the child said to her mother for her whole life. And before the mother left the child alone in the world, she accompanied her child to the field one last time, they laid down on the grass and enjoyed the beauty of the flowers, and before she knew it, there were tears on her face, they wept together and laid there peacefully, as the night embraced their face. The mother said, “the sky is as beautiful as your eyes my dear.” And when her time came, she accepted it with a smile on her face.
Till this day, the girl still visits the field of flowers, and for a change, she greets them as much as she would love, she talks to them as if she were speaking to her mother. The night is still as beautiful as it has always been, she still weeps to the beauty of the flowers and the beauty of the starry night. The darkness of her eyes disappears with the darkness of the night. (SOME MOMENTS ARE AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOUR IMAGINATION PLACES THEM TO BE, AND SOMETIMES YOU WEEP AT THE SIGHT OF ABSOLUTE BEAUTY, THE TOUCH OF YOUR SMILE AWAKENS A MEMORY TO NEVER REMEMBER.)
“That’s all for today, Anna, that must have been hard for you to talk about, well done, you did better than I thought you would. I will see you on our next session.” Messie said, with pitying eyes, displayed towards Anna. And with a smitten smile Anna smiled at Messie, then took her teddy with her and disappeared into the hall. As I walked down the hall, contemplating my thoughts, as I struggled to understanding where my mind stands. Clenching at my teddy bear tightly as I walked towards the receptionist area. Trying my best not to break into tears, with my heart about to burst from the pain inside of me.
….
“You know when you notice witness the cracks, when you actually see the once beautiful moments disappear, that’s when the emptiness screams at its loudest. And its hard not to hear, so no, I don’t think my son needs therapy. Have you ever seen such beautiful eyes, there isn’t even a drop of sorrow in those eyes Dave”, said Mrs Evans as she pointed to her little son, who kept his eyes shut as he took a nap, nothing looked more peaceful as that scenery? Mrs Evans looks like a beautiful young woman who had beautiful brunette hair, I knew I had met her before but could not pinpoint where it was exactly. Before I was able to take an actual look at Mrs Evans Doctor Messie interrupted and said, “Christina Evans, come this way please, ...OH yes, you can leave your son with Mr Brown, I’ll talk to him later. After you please.” Pointing her towards her office, as I watched them walk into the office with total silence, my eyes locked with Mr Brown’s eyes, and suddenly I heard a little voice speak. It said, “You have beautiful hair, I wonder why you don’t look after it.”
As I turned my head to look for the owner of the voice, it was non other than the little boy who had beautiful as his mother had previously bragged about. His features were purely adorable, and not to mention his small yet brightly opened eyes which radiated as much as the moon does when given its chance. With a smile he looked at me, and as much as I tired my best to give him my attention, my head filled itself with endless thoughts about Jess. I ended up leaving the building without getting acquainted with the boy and his rather perfect eyes which stared at me intently.
