CHAPTER 5 - BEAUTIFUL PRESENCE

(BEAUTIFUL PRESENCE)

‘The heart flutters with the radiance of the wind, not the tune which subsides with the leaves’

There was a lot of silence between them after Lisa finished reciting the contents of the letter se had received, Kevin looked very confuse by the whole matter, he didn’t really see the whole point of the letter, but Dawn seemed to be lost in her own fears considering what had conspired earlier on. Everything went quite for a while until they heard a screeching sound.

It was the front gate of the house opening itself, and for kids that have been having a pretty weird morning, they were shocked to the point that they had to convince themselves not to run away like headless chickens. Looking at each other anxiously, not knowing how to react accordingly.

They finally decided to enter from the front gate, hesitantly of course.

The house looked more extravagant up close, the lawn of the house was perfectly trimmed to the point of utter disbelief.

The moment the kids got closer to the front door, the front door opened itself allowing them a hindrance free enter into the house. Dawn glanced at the tree next to the house in order to get a closer look at it, but for some weird reason the tree had changed itself miraculously. From the lively, green coloured leaf tree it was to an almost dead, thorn branched tree.

She couldn't believe the whole matter of course thought that she could have been mistaken somehow, but when she wanted to confirm the matter with her friends, they had already gone inside the house and had been shouting her name in order for her to enter the house as well. The moment Lisa entered into the house, the front door shut itself and put itself on lock completely.

The house house had a very obscure kind of feel to it and they were not able to see everything about the house clearly.

there was a path which was visible though, it was a path which led them to a study filled with books covering around the walls, there was a table which was in the centre of the room and on the table sat two book which looked exactly the same and a note in the middle of the books which said, 'FIND ME IN YOU'R MEMORIES - Choose one' and as the instructions which were on the note the three kids all chose a book. Dawn and Lisa both chose the book on the right together while Kevin chose the book on the left. Right after choosing their respectable books, they all vanished out of the room and found themselves in completely different places. Kevin found himself back in the dream he had dreamt a week ago while Dawn and Lisa found themselves outside of the house again, right next to the tree once more.

The man in Kevin's dream looked at Kevin attentively this time, more like there was a lot of things he wanted to share with him, yet he could not utter a single word, while Dawn and Lisa were both mesmerised by the beauty of the flowers they saw in the tree.
