Almost at the end

Rosella heard the voice, the voice from years ago.

Her eyes darted open as she glance around the room, her window opened, and the breeze was howling in the room pushing the curtains sideways and moving like some kinda ghost.

She thought at least she could see since the window went open but she couldn’t find her reading lamp by the table. And she couldn’t stand from the bed.

“Go to sleep, you should sleep...”

“No!” She yelled. As if she could see it.

A hand crept out of the wall, then another hand came out, the legs.

“Go away! Go away, I’m not scared of you, go away!”

She hurled the pillow by her side at the wall. But it didn’t stop anything. Where was it? Why isn’t she here to save her?

He’s gonna come right, she had to hope on that. The fairy would be here.

The body came out, it was faceless. His hands were longer than his body, and there was a tail on his back. Over his shoulders was a bloody ax and over its tip, blood was dropping off on it. He was covered in black cloth and you couldn’t see what his skin looked like.

Just like thirteen years ago.

The same monster was after her again.

“Go to sleep...”

She was still rooted on the bed, with her legs hugged together, her chest was heavy and her lips were dried. Her hands were shivering, her gaze went down to her feet, staring at her big toe, she had to look elsewhere except his face and that he was coming after her.

The bastard that took her best friend.

He was the one who hurt him.

Immediately her gaze went up staring at him as he marched down to her. But she couldn’t look, her lips quivered and not a word was said.

She couldn’t do it.

She burst into tears. This was the monster who took her best friend and she couldn’t do anything to him. She couldn’t even talk or look at him. She was just there, scared.

Argh!

He jumped at her, she screamed and was able to jump off the bed unto the ground, she didn’t mind hitting her butt hard on the floor. He was on the bed, his ax had dug into the bed. It would have been her head.

She ran for the door, trying to open it but it won’t open.

“Mom!” Her body hits the door, as she screamed.

“Help me.” She cried. But there was no help as if no one was there or heard her cry for help.

There was nothing as a fairy, her fairy. There was nothing like that. It was a dream she had about them. They weren’t real, this was real but they weren’t. She was so stupid thinking there was a thing as your guardian angel. Wasn’t that what the fairy had told her.

It wasn’t real.

By the door, she stood.

Already gave up. But the door suddenly opened and she fell back out of the room. He stood by the door of her room but couldn’t move closer to her because of the light.

She scrawls out further, from her room.

Mrs. Edward came forward with the torch and hammer.

Maybe she thought it was some kind of a dwarf she would hit in the head.

She pulled her up and hid her behind her.

Mr. Edward came forth with an iron.

She rolled her eyes at them. Are they being serious right now?

What do they think they’re doing?

“Is it gone? Where is it?”

“I think it’s gone.”

“Why don’t you go check?”

“Why should I be the one to check?”

“Edward!”

“Fine! I’m going.”

“Hope it’s hot!”

“Very hot, I’m gonna smash his head with it, swears he’s never gonna appear here again.”

“Seeing you so confidence but your hands are shaking.”

He didn’t pay attention to her, but got into the room and turned on the light. It was gone, there was no one here.

“It’s gone!” He yelled.

They sighed. Especially Rosella, Who fell back to the ground.

Her eyes glistened with tears.

“It almost got me again..”
