Back again

“Cree!”

“Why him!.” Her voice held so much hurt.

“Why! Couldn’t anyone save him, why couldn’t anyone say anything. Is there no deity up there? Wasn’t there anyone at all? Why did nobody come for him!.” She cried.

He stood there. Didn’t know what to say, he felt hurt seeing her like that.

“Cree!” The pain was too much for her to bear. She had whispered yelled and fell.

“Hey..” he called, shaking her, there wasn’t any response. She had collapsed.

He pulled her off her feet and carry her on his back.

When he walked out, he saw traces of blood on the ground. He must have pulled him out of the corner, did he run in there but ended up being attacked there. That must’ve been why his phone and key were there. He had tried to escape from whoever attacked him.

Then he was dragged out afterward.

But where could the body be?

He couldn’t be dead, could he? He didn’t know. Nobody does. Just that his body wasn’t found. Where were they, why didn’t they do something.

Where were those fairies!

Why didn’t they help, why!

It hurt him to see her cry.

He had to do something, he won’t seat and do nothing. Whoever had taken Cree who comes for others. It might come for her too.

He had to fight.

He would save them.

He would save Cree. That’s finding his body.

He won’t let them hurt her again. Neither would she get hurt.

Though he was no different from a weak human. He would do all he’s got.

Besides he was once a fairy.

It was late in the night when Rosella opened her eyes, she met darkness and a surge of fright flows through her, she struggled to turn on the lamp by the bed.

But she couldn’t reach it. Her hands couldn’t get the lamp, she searched around like some blind scary cat, that was what she was now. Her phone, she could find her phone, which was in her pocket but then, her clothes had been changed, she was wearing her nighties.

Why, did they do this to her?

They knew she was scared of the dark, why did they turn off the light.

“Mom,” her voice was quavering, she hugged herself on the bed and couldn’t move from the spot she was.

“Dad!” She cried. Her voice would rise and fall at the same time. All her eyes could see was darkness. She folded her legs together and shut her eyes.

“Help..” she whispered.

But there was nothing, no help was coming forth. She had forgotten, she was all by herself now.

“Go to sleep, go to sleep..”
