Killing her would only give him the meagre bonus of 1000 EXP and a few trashy rewards like her sword and some unwanted money… It would also bring the [Player Hunter Mark] upon himself and a bounty to whosoever kills him.
1000 EXP isn't worth getting chased around by mad players, as he would lose a lot of time meant for practice to either instability or maybe insanity after getting chased around like a rat. In his eyes, the profits of killing Felicia isn't worth his suffering.
All he could do was simply ignore her for the time being. She has a volatile character, but wasn't dumb or stupid enough to attack someone who defeated her twice in a row…
"Get up, you lost." Jack spat coldly as he offered his hand hesitantly to the struggling Felicia with a frown on his face, he really wish he'd knocked her out but she had more Endurance[END] than he thought!
"You moron. That was just dumb luck… Don't act cocky because you defeated me just this one time."
Despite her provoking words, she begrudgingly took Jack's hand to prop herself up and away from kissing the earth. With Jack's aid, she managed to struggle up to her feet with buckling kneecaps.
After standing up completely, she straightened her back and gave Jack a cold look full of hatred before looking away. She didn't seem to be leaving any time soon, and Jack easily noticed that.
He just shrugged it off and looked around himself to see countless expectant eyes blinking back at him in perfect sync, the scene was just too wonderful and it gave Jack the feeling of not knowing whether to eat or starve… He just stared blankly until he stopped a group isolated away from the crowd.
It was Robert, Rylex and his sister busy chatting away amidst giggles and roars of laughter, the scene made Jack smirk for a second or two and after that, it completely disappeared – His smirk.
"The fight has really ended? Well, I'm returning back to my racing prep…"
"Tsk, too short and bland. Not much conflict between the two contestants as both of them are too powerful and use little to no effort when dealing Insta-Kills…"
Just like that, albeit with a few whispers and giggles, the crowd dispersed as everyone ran off. The race was beginning in mere hours, they didn't have time to waste watching a closed match.
Jack on the other hand could care less about too action seekers, all he knew was that he was very uncomfortable under Felicia's constant glares. He felt like two sharp needles were continuously pricking at the back of his head and it wasn't nice.
"Are you going to follow me around Felicia? It wouldn't be nice if you really want to do that…" Jack warned sternly, trying to push the stubborn little lady away so that he can have peace of mind. Like, was that too much to ask?
"As long as you're not a member of my group and I can beat you physically, I should try torturing you mentally and spiritually." Felicia blurted out casually without any real intention of doing so, but her words made Jack's brows jump! The reason was because she had a tendency of saying something she was planning to do out loud after she had dropped the idea.
"Ahahaha, darling don't be like this… Your team needs it's leader for guidance and protection! You shouldn't be wasting your time on a small fry like me and be busying away on something else!" Jack protested fiercely, his voice was loud and stern. He wanted to get rid of this troublemaker as soon as possible!
"Hehe." Felicia just giggled lightly without saying anything more, her intentions clear as crystal. She seemed to be hell-bent on troubling Jack until he was broken mentally and spiritually.
Jack simply ignored her and walked away, not even bothering to tell her off when she began following him like a lost puppy. He simply walked straight up to Rylex and gang to make some inquiries.
The moment he got close enough, Rylex whom had her head bowed in thought a few moments earlier raised her head to stare at him blankly. She didn't say a word until Jack was standing right before her.
What does him want now? Rylex who had been distracted from her wild thoughts, was apprehensive of Jack's actions… She was left wondering to peer into his thoughts or not.
Peer into his thoughts… Peer into his thoughts…
Jack didn't know why, but the moment he looked his gaze with Rylex, a cold wind suddenly blew over his body, causing him to shudder involuntarily! If he knew that he had a dangerous psychic with him too, he'd collapse instantly!
"What is it Jack? Is there a problem you want me to address?" Fay who had just noticed Jack's arrival, asked as she turned her face to glance at him blankly. She also noticed Felicia who was standing right behind him, and her blank expression turned somewhat strange.
Robert who was conversing with Fay a few seconds earlier also turned to face Jack with a slight smile on his face. He seemed to have a slight clue on what Jack was about to do now.
"Cough Cough, I was thinking about something related to the race starting in a few hours…" Jack firmly clasped both of his hands together and scanned the expressions of the trio standing before him, a faint smile finding it's way to his lips, "Why don't we build a team together? Just the four of us for now?"
Robert's smile turned into a knowing smirk after this, he dug one arm into his pockets, striking a cool pose as he looked to the side — straight at Fay who's expression had turned radiant! She seemed to be in on this idea too.
"A team? That's exactly what I've been wanting to do too! Although it wouldn't be easy building it up from scratch and whatnot, we wouldn't have to remain as independent players anymore." Fay grinned as she spoke, turning around to face Rylex and speaking in an excited voice with a slightly high pitch, "Isn't that great Big Sister Rylex? You're in on us creating a small group for now right?"
Big Sister? Thier relationship is improving way faster than I expected… This is a good thing for me, and besides, it's nice my sister and that troublemaker are getting along.
Two troublemakers getting along? In reality, that's not good for the kind hearted soul they're tormenting… Infact, it's nearly as worse as getting betrothed to your archenemy.
"Of course I'll join the group. It wouldn't be too fun playing against Jack and you two, besides, I wouldn't be able to join another group except the ones with you guys in it…"
Rylex beamed at the ecstatic looking Fay before turning to give Jack a lazy smile, she had already said what needed to be said. All the rest would be left for Jack to handle himself.
Jack who understood Rylex's actions, rolled his eyes helplessly before opening his mouth to speak, "Is it alright if I decide the name and everything else myself?"
Everyone except Felicia who was standing behind Jack nodded at once, they felt no shame whatsoever pushing all the work to Jack. Besides, since him being the group master is already predetermined from the start, what's they're gain by delaying it?
Jack frowned at this, but nevertheless he got to work immediately after they're affirmation. As soon as this thoughts crossed his mind, various blank screens were pulled up in front of him, causing his brows to jump immediately.
Soon, all the blank screens were filled with numerous texts and when Jack read through them, he frowned deeply as his expression turned somewhat strange. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this point…
"Heavens… should I just jump off a bridge at this point?"
