War on the Motherland Part 4: Hag Witchcraft Verses Eldritch Sorcery

(General POV)

Location the Warhammer Old World-Kislev, Open Snow covered Area: Battlefield; Kislev/Daughters of the Hag vs. Forces of Chaos/Dark Legion

While the Daughters of the Hag and the Dark Legion forces, were still fighting and killing one another in the name of their respected lord, a furious battle that has only begun a sone moments ago, was being fought by these two infamous armies.

Ostankya seeing all the literal chaos, mayhem, and bloodshed caused by the dreaded dark champions of the Ruinous Powers, she was enraged and had enough of them, and so she started speaking in tongues, bending the Winds of Magic, and harnessing powers of witchcraft that the Hags of Kislev are renowned for.

As witching runes, started floating around the war sled of Ostankya, with her cauldron boiling and bubbling enhancing her casting, as she was bending the power of the Lore of the Hags, and cast some spells and hexes onto the vile invaders and defilers to Kislev.

Unknowingly to the Hag Mother, she was casting magic in direct presence of the God of the Arcane, Tzeentch senced and saw what she was doing, and accepted the indirect challenge.

While Ostankya was casting her spell, (Fate of Interlopers) a powerful hex of Hag Magic, meant to weaken and seal trespassers of any ground that is under the command or ownership of a Hag Witch. (A small note, since Kislev wasn't extremely expanded, cause of End Times, the Hags, Mother Ostankya, and the Lore of Hags weren't made "officially" while in TTW3 made Mother Ostankya a full character and faction, Mother Ostankya is considered the most powerful hag of them all, so it stands to reason aside from her personal abilities, she is able to use Hag Magic and more at its fullest, hence in this magical fight, I'll have her doing many things that don't appear in lore or rulebooks.)

Mother Ostankya, was channeling her magical power into this spell, and the Changer used his inhuman level of magical manipulations, to challenge the infamous Hag Mother.

Tzeentch made Ixion lift his tzeentchian corrupted scepter high, as he used the foci to focus his magic along with his psychic might through it, and into the very Winds of Magic.

Causing a unsuspecting and in a dissimilar fashion, interrupt Mother Ostankya's spell casting.

Ostankya, busy casting her (Fate of Interlopers) hex, that she failed to sense the disturbances in the Winds of Magic, her magic energy suddenly was glowing and flickering in many shades of blue, and suddenly all that accumulated energy, burst out.

Ostankya own magical resistance and defenses were the only reason that the burst of magical energy, hasn't cause more than a few light burns on her body and gear.

Her first spell, backfiring was nearly inconceivable to the Hag Mother, as she shuke off the light magical burns on her robes, Ostankya she started to inspect herself, her cauldron and staff, but she didn't see anything wrong with them.

Nothing that can explain how her spell could backfire in such a manner, Ostankya's frustration was very amusing to the Scheming God, as he decided to toy with her a bit more.

Groaning Ostankya decided to use another spell from the Hag Lore, specifically the (Witchbrew) spell.

The Witchbrew involves the cauldron of any hag witch, the spell causes the cauldron to erupt in a bubbling crescendo of witchcraft, as that boiling magical brew would splash its contents all over the hags' hopeless enemies.

At that moment Ostankya's cauldron was glowing in magical energies, as the bluish brew within the cauldron began to boil and bubble, as the magical power of her witchcraft was channeling through it, Tzeentch decided to challenge the Hag Mother's magic again.

Meanwhile his brothers...in all honesty, they were amused, Laharl expected a magical duel, not Tzeentch trolling...after thinking about it, he should have expected this from his youngest brother.

All the Dark One did was sigh in disappointment, all Tzeentch was doing is grade-a trolling, instead of an actual magic casting battle, catching a glimpse at his other brothers, Khorne was getting very irritated by all this magic casting, instead of actual melee combat, and even Nurgle that likes taking his time and spread a non-ending plague was obviously getting impatient.

Laharl said out loud so Tzeentch can listen-in, "Tzeentch... We've promised that we'd let the one currently, operating Ixion to call the shots on his battle. But please. Do. Something. Other. Than, effing trolling that hag!!!" both Khorne and Nurgle agreeing with their elder brother.

This made Tzeentch cackle, before responding to Laharl's complaints in a teasing manner, "Awwwww. Not enjoying the action?"

That response, in turn resulted in all three older Warp Gods, started to release some of their dark divine power, cause of their growing annoyance, sensing Tzeentch sighed and said, "Fine...I can never enjoy myself." so with a simple command to the avatar, Ixion, Tzeentch made the avatar lightly pull Whiptail's mane to make him move.

Spreading his wings, and with a low roar, Whiptail started to move forwards, before he took a leap and take flight.

Flying above all the battle, Tzeentch/Ixion made Whiptail fly towards the Changer saw and felt Ostankya was close to finishing her casting of her spell, so he instead counter her weak magic in comparison with his own, by using his psyker powers against her.

Channeling his psychic energy through the avater, electric-blue lighting emerged from the "eyes" of Ixion, and started coating the armor of Ixion, all surging to the same point the upper-left arm of the tzeentchian state of the Chosen of the Gods, all that psychic lightning was now surging and sparking throughout, Tzeentch's corrupted scepter.

With a swing, taking aim at Mother Ostankya, below of them her cauldron was almost overflowing with magical liquid, signaling her (Witchbrew) was close to being completed and unleashed upon the Warp Gods' forces.

Ixion/Tzeentch, unleashed his (Bolts of Change) as he hurls a bolt of roiling energy, formed from Tzeentch's all ruinous powers and direct composition of Warp-energies, this blast of psychic lightning, would normally in lore causes various affects on the poor souls, struck by the (Bolts of Change) from rapid mutation, melting flesh, vaporizing metal, and soo much more.

Laharl was a bit starstruck that he could finally see one of the Chaos aligned Psyker Powers, in real life, while Khorne still despises the sight of psyker and magical spells, and Nurgle was...indifferent by this.

Regardless the electric-blue lightning, soared through the air of the Old World, as Mother Ostankya was almost about to unleash her (Witchbrew) upon the Chaos warriors and daemons apart of the Dark Legion, but then she noticed the surge of disturbing feeling that cut through the cold air of Kislev lands, looking up she saw the fast surging lightningbolts coming down onto her.

Gasping she used her powers to backtrack her war sled, and the (Bolts of Change) didn't hit her, but instead her [Cauldron of Power] the psychic, tzeentchian energies, hit and surge into the witch-runed cauldron and it was overloading with unknown eldritch powers.

Sensing the danger in front of her, Ostankya had no choice but discard her precious cauldron.

Using some magic to enhance her strength, she smacked the cauldron with her staff, knocking it away from herself, the Cauldron of Power soared across the air and smashing onto the snow some distance away, before it exploded in a great burst of blue magical energy.

Shielding her eyes from the blinding light, from her former cauldron, then the sound of multiple, different voices, laughing in unison and once she was able to lower her arm, she came face to face with her enemy.

Riding upon the largest Chaos monster, (Exalted Chimera) was the four-armed tzeentchian Chaos Lord, from what the tales that came from the chaotic north, Ixion Daemonhart is multiple beings, siblings merged into one body, each a worshipper of Chaos in various factions.

It's almost inconceivable how such a being could be standing before the Hag Mother.

Tzeentch made Whiptail land in front of Mother Ostankya, as the Hag Mother stood their her blue glowing eyes, emanating anger and killer intent towards Ixion.

This was amusing to Khorne, while Tzeentch found this sight hilarious, he'll admit he was actually excited to have a true magical battle, not that he'd say it out loud, but it seems that listening to his brothers has proven to be a better opportunity than a game of spell disruption.

Ostankya's anger was soaring at the sight of the soo called "Chosen of the Gods" in front of her, without the need of words, Mother Ostankya attacked Ixion/Tzeentch.

Channeling some of the Winds of Magic, into her magical power, causing blue arcane energies to emerge and surge from her eyes, her staff, and her open right hand, creating a small sphere of magical blue energy on her hand, and in a angry yell she tossed the arcane bolt at Ixion/Tzeentch.

The Changer made Ixion, block by swing the [Hellbane] and cutting through the raw magical projectile, then channeling some tzeentchian magical energy, through the corrupted scepter he fired a blue change-fireball, at Ostankya, which she countered with a magical barrier, as their magical duel has just begun.

Meanwhile, fast approaching the grueling battle, between these two forces was a fallen heroine...

Location Kislev/Some Distance from the Battlefield, Nameless Small Wooden Area

Ulrika was riding on horseback, heading straight to the battlefield.

Days of nonstop tracking and riding to join the battle, against the vile force of Chaos, Ulrika smacked the reigns of her horse to make it go faster, as she was heading to the lands outside of Oakstuun.

Ursun's call still surprises the fallen Kislevite, turn vampiress, this might be the desired opportunity of redemption and maybe more.

As her greyish barret and whitish snort hair, flowed in the cold Kislevite winds, her sword secured in its sheath, and her bow and quiver eager to be used against the invaders of the Motherland.

Rapidly her horse galloped across the snow covered woods, onwards to the snow fields, Ulrika, she hopes that she can arrive to the battle in time, and truth be told she'd would have also welcomed the aid of two old acquaintances, Gotrek and Felix, but in her desperate rush to go to Kislev and Ursun's aid, she didn't call the legendary duo, to help her.

But at least it was not too far, her targeted location getting closer and closer, as her red eyes showed clear determination, and killer intent...all she could think at the moment, "For Kislve!! For Ursun!!!" as she ride on.

(Mother Ostankya POV)

Location Kislev/Open Snow covered Area: Battlefield; Kislev/Daughters of the Hag vs. Forces of Chaos/Dark Legion

This wretched, dissolution, slave of the Chaos God of Change!!

I'll admit that I may have underestimate the power of the Chosen of the Gods, as he was not only standing before me, he was responsible for interrupting my spells!!

We were exchanging arcane attacks at one another, while my sled sledded across the snow-covered ground, Ixion was fighting me in the air, mounted upon the most vile chimera, if he didn't attack me with his magic, then the beast would attack me instead.

Seeing that this duel wasn't in anyway equal, I magically commanded my war sled to backtrack, granting me some distance from Ixion and his monstrous mount.

Without my Cauldron of Power, I'll have a greater difficulty harnessing the Winds of Magic, but even so I can still fight!!

I spoke out loud, "Ohh spirits of the wilds, heed my call. Grant me the power, to smite these villains of nature and the wilds!!" ghostly apparitions of spirits of the wilds, started answering me.

Manifesting around me, a vortex a cyan, white, and green spirits barely appearing human, instead more beastial in both form and aura, this is the signs of the invocation of a hag spell, known as (Omen of Spirits) this spell will cripple this damned Lord of Chaos!!

But to my surprise instead of challenging me, or rush in to stop my spell, shaking my head, not caring at the clear arrogance that this Chaos Lord, dared showed at me.

The spirits started to convert into one giant mass of spectral force, morphing into a giant spirit resembling a great elk skull, with sharp giant antlers, the rage of these spirits from all the corruption and defilement on our lands, fueling their power and now it was time for them to punish the one responsible for these crimes!!!

Using my staff to restrain the (Omen of Spirits) in place, above me turning and locking my sights on Ixion Daemonhart, I said to him, "Feel the wrath of the old spirits of the land!!" swiping down her arms along with her staff, firing her hag-spell at Ixion.

The spectral mass, soared straight at Ixion and his beast, all I saw was the tzeentchian warrior lower his greatsword and halbert, while his scepter was in a low almost in a lazy, uncaring state.

Not that it matter to me, as the cold winds howl, and I eagerly watch as the (Omen of Spirits) opened its spectral maw, aiming to devour Ixion whole.

A smile creeped onto my face, as the (Omen of Spirits) maw was now upon Ixion and the Chimera, but I'd noticed that my enemy wasn't a least bit concerned.

As the (Omen of Spirits) wrapped it jaws over Ixion and the monster mount, but then something impossible happened before my eyes...!!

(General POV)

The (Omen of Spirits) was straining against the power of Ixion/Tzeentch, using both the avatar's magical and physical strength to force the magical manifestation to open its maw, Tzeentch excitement and amusement overflowing out of Ixion, that Ixion was laughing out loud.

Tzeentch made Ixion speak, "Impressive magic...for someone soo weak. Witness the complexity of the arcane, old hag!!" channeling some of his psyker powers, specifically telekinesis to force the hag-lore magical manifestation, and with a final swipe from his upper-left arm the (Omen of Spirits) was destroyed.

This sight shocked the Hag Mother, not able to sence or comprehend psychic forces, she assume that whatever the Chosen of the Gods, has managed to do it must have been some dark magical marvel, that she has never seen before...until now.

Getting over her shock to see her enemy, he was actually harnessing two lores of magics at the sametime, and actually combining them in a harmonious form, as lightning and thunder was surging feom the heavens onto Ixion's form, his azure and gold armor, but then the Ruinous Power of Tzeentch, was also manifestating into their realm.

Ostankya started to feel incredible amounts of magic, the likes of never before, knowing that there is no way to escape what was about to be unleash upon her, she started to call again for the aid of the spirits, and also harnessing the Winds of Magic to face against this incoming calamity.

As the Hag Mother, was summoning one of the greater protectors of the Motherland, emerging from the snow, ice, and stone was a colossal bear compose of magical energies.

This is a Elemental Bear, which are creatures of magical wrath, brought into sentience by the faith and devotion of the Kislevite people, and imbued with the spirit of the land, a massive, terrifying bear-construct, that is crackling with magical energy, they are a brutal force of nature rising from the earth to fight beside Kislev's children.

The Elemental Bear, roared at Ixion/Tzeentch, but as the elemental construct was standing strong, and fearsome, a colossal magic construct of lightning and tzeentchian magic in the shape of a great bird, almost resembling a majestic eagle, with azurian flamed wings and electricity surging throughout the [Thunderbird].

Meanwhile above Ixion/Tzeentch (Fluxing Thunderbird) singing and surging with lighting that was striking all around of the avatar, this construct shocked all the Daughters of the Hag, never has such a sight of magic has been done.

But the daemons and mortal warriors of the Dark Legion, were not surprised instead they cheered...except the followers of the Blood God...for their Lord was finally about to destroy, any that stand against him.

Tzeentch spoke to Mother Ostankya, through his avatar, "Witness the true power of Change and Arcane!!!" laughing madly, Ixion was commanded by Tzeentch to launch the (Fluxing Thunderbird) onto Mother Ostankya and the magical construct standing in front of her, with a simple swing of the avatar's arm, the [Thunderbird] fluxed and sang, as it soared straight at the roaring Elemental Bear.

The Elemental Bear, stood on its hind legs and attacked the (Fluxing Thunderbird), when it ice claws and fangs, came in contact with fluxing, lightning and tzeentchian made bird, a massive explosion with bolt of change infused lightning soaring across the battlefield, many creatures and Kislevites were strucked by these bolts, not only electrocuted and mutated in horrific flesh-horrors.

But in the end Ostankya barely survived the attack from Ixion, with the frost cloud obscuring all her sight, she couldn't react until, some blue and pink colored fireballs were lobbed at her.

Using her magical command over her war sled, she sledded away from danger, those tzeentchian flames causing twisted affects to the snowy terrain, from eldritch eyes sprouting, crystalizing the areas, and more.

As the obstruction cleared away, and showed her enemy completely unharmed and still flying on his chimera, Ixion/Tzeentch pulled lightly on Whiptail's mane, commanding him to land.

Whiptail landed, and Tzeentch commanded Ixion to dismount from the chimera wanting to change the flow that his battle was taking, Tzeentch instructed Whiptail to hunt somewhere else in the battlefield, he wanted Ostankya for his own.

Whiptail growled at the Hag Mother once, and turning around to fly away from the duel between Ixion/Tzeentch and Mother Ostankya, both enemies ready to battle, as Mother Ostankya grabbed tightly onto her staff, while Tzeentch made Ixion spread his four arms wide, just when their duel was about to continue a arrow soaring across the field, pierced right into Ixion's "left-eye" making the avatar stumble back, from the unexpected attack.

As a unknown horse-rider came rushing into the battlefield...a pale skinned, red-eyed woman with her bow in her right hand, and her other hand on the reins of the horse, Ulrika has joined the battle.
