Chapter 6

  I perambulate around my room a couple of times. I sat down on the bed as I taped my nail on my teeth and my feet to the floor.

"Why am I like this? It is not like what he did was so special. Why am I taking it so personally? I questioned myself after snapping out of my thought."

"Why didn't he show up at the garden today?"

"Is he feeling unwell?"

"What if he got so stressed out yesterday? I asked myself."

    While I was busy having my thoughts, the head maid entered but I was too deep in my thought to realize her presence

"What are thinking of this time that made you not realize my presence? The head maid asked."

"Nothing, but when did you come in? I asked looking confused."

"I got in just now. Did you clean up the garden?"

"Yes I did a few hours ago, I wish you can just change my daily duty. "

"I will think about that if you continue to do well."

"I promise I will do well always. But why did you come."

"Yes that's right, I came to tell you to serve the boss his meal. He said he wants to eat lunch in his room."

"Why is he eating..."

"You just promised me you will do well. The head maid said cutting me off with her usually confused look."

"Yes, I will serve him his lunch"

"Note, you must call him young master and not the boss."

"But I think the boss is much better. I suggested."

"Just do as I say and don't do the opposite."

"Okay, I've heard you. I said picking up my hair cover as I walked straight to the kitchen."

   I asked the other maid where the so-called young master lunch was and they showed me a well-covered filled-up tray. I picked up the tray carefully as I took a step after the other so that I won't trip and fall. Few guards were standing right in front of the door when I got there. One of the guards walked in after noticing my presence to info the young master. A few minutes later I was ordered to come in. I walked in as slowly as I could so that I won't trip and fall.

"I will take it from here. A man I guess could be in his mid-40s said."

"Ahh...ahh... Yes...Thank you so much. I stammered."

"You can take your leave now."

    I looked behind him to see the young master's face but his face was covered with the book he was reading.

"Do you still have any business here? He asked me when he noticed me looking behind him."

"No sir, I am sorry. I apologized finally taking my leave."

  I walked as fast as I could before the young master noticed my presence.

"Why isn't he looking up? How can I be on his good side when he does even know me? I thought to myself as I walked back to my room." It takes 10 minutes by foot to get to the maid's quarter from the young master's room.

"Did you... The head maid said"

"Yes I did, but one of his guards got the tray for me. I said cutting the maid up knowing what she was about to say."

"That's good then. She said walking away."

   I signed as I lay on the bed.

"How can I leave so soon yesterday without hesitating a little? I feel so bad for him."

"I should go to the garden tonight. I might be lucky to meet him there. I concluded without any doubt."

(Alex POV)

Dillion asked about my lunch and I decided to have lunch to not disturb the maids, not the maids but Anna. An hour later one of the guards walked in to inform me about the maid's presence and I ordered her to come in. I looked up immediately the door was open.

"Oh shit... Why is she here? I asked myself looking surprised."

"Did she get on the bad side of the head maid? Why is she always the one sent? I mumbled to myself as I picked up the book on my table pretending to be reading it."

   Dillion helped her out with my lunch. She tried to peep through Dillion but I smiled knowing Dillion won't tolerate that. She walked out a few minutes later.

I signed "I have been seeing her lately. Why is she the only maid I have been seeing working lately? I asked Dillion."

"I will inform the heard maid about that. I am sure she will fix it. Now you should eat your lunch. Dillion said."

"Your parents want you to start work by next month."

"What?? Why?? But I just got back and next month is only in a week."

"You had enough rest now is time for you to work. You can't just stay home all day. It won't make you look as sexy as you want."

"I am always sexy. I said crossing my legs."

I decided to visit the garden since I couldn't go all day. I wore my usual outfit as I headed out. I walked into the garden but I met the garden lights on. "Did she leave the lights on? I asked myself walking further."

"Wwuuuaa... She shouted loud into my ears as I fell to the floor in fear." I looked up but saw her laughing out loud.

"Were you scared a wild animal has walked into the garden? She asked me still laughing out loud."

"People might hear you at this rate and also I was not scared, I was only a little bit surprised. I said clearing my throat as I stood up dusting my shorts."

"Are you sure? She asked in a whispering voice."

"Why are you here alone so late at night? I asked her to change the topic."

"I came to get some fresh air, How about you?"

"I came to get some fresh hair too. How are you feeling now."

"I am all better now. Thank you so much for yesterday. I wouldn't have finished it up so early if not for you."

"Now are you accepting I am not mannerless"

"Yes, I regret judging you by the first impression you made without knowing your reasons."

"It's okay, now we are cool. I have something to tell you."

"What is it? You can tell me. She looked at me in curiosity."

"I... Eh mm... I. I said trying to figure out what to say."

"Wait, are you going to tell me you stole from the so-called young master? It's okay no one is above mistakes. She said jumping to a conclusion."

"No that's not it. I am the young master. I told her."

    She look at me from head to toe several times."Why are you pulling such a joke? She asked still finding it hard to believe."

"I am not lying. I covered my face today with my book so that you won't recognize me but I don't think I can do it forever."

"Wait... Eh hmm... You are the young master?"

"Yes, that's right."

"Please save my life, I don't know where else to work if I don't work here. I apologize for all my mistakes young master."

"You don't have to call me that when we are alone and also I won't fire you. I said with a smile."

"How can I call the young master by name."

"It is an order. You must be tired. You should sleep now."

"I will go after you do young master."

"I am not a jerk who could leave a woman behind. I said stretching forth my arm in a way that indicates she should go ahead first."

"Thank you so much. She said and walked out as fast as she could."

"Good night. I said as loud as she could hear."

   Immediately after she left I went back to my room I went for a shower before going to bed.
