CHAPTER 11

Miriam and her sister Eleanor have been sitting in the doctor's office patiently waiting for the test result. The tension in the room was apparent, Eleanor held her sister's hand before giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Don't worry Miriam, everything would be fine." Eleanor let out making Miriam stare at her tummy.

"Thank you so much for sticking by my side," Miriam let out a bit shakily."Of course, I would always be here for you." Eleanor let out with a fragile smile.

"You know Eleanor, I'm troubled and uneasy because I don't want to guess that I would be carrying a stranger's baby." Miriam let out.

"Don't think too much about it or you might start having stupid thoughts. You might just be having gas pains!" Eleanor let out as the door flickered open showing the doctor who trudged inside holding a paper in her grip.

“I hope so because I do not want to be carrying this child!” Miriam simply said.
