CHAPTER 12

  The sunlight cast its orange glint into the room where Miriam was supposed to get ready for the big day. The makeup artist was almost done with Eleanor and was patiently waiting for Miriam to evacuate the bathroom for what seemed to be almost an hour now.

  "Miriam, you have been inside the bathroom for almost an hour now. You have to come out now and get your makeup done or I might break down this door and come get you." Doris let out frankly.

  The door of the bathroom slowly flickered open to show Miriam dressed in her wedding gown but in a gloomy manner. "Why does the bride of the year look like she is grieving? Brighten up a little girl." Doris let out.

  "Miriam, your gown is too pretty for such a huge frown." The makeup artist let out.

  "Eleanor, has Christain come home at any chance?" Miriam asked.
