CHAPTER 15

VALERIE'S POV

Slowly, my heavy eyelids opened, as I tried focusing my gaze on the room. It was different and strange; Where am I?

Sitting up on the bed, I tried recalling what had happened and my brain showed me a short clip of the kiss I shared with Daemon.

Was this his room?

My hands, unconsciously, felt my lips, as I dreamed about the kiss over and over again. My eyes suddenly fell on the sleeve of the hoodie, as I glanced at myself; I was changed.

The door soon flew open, as I pulled the blanket over to my chest, staring back at his expressionless face.

"You're up? How do you feel?" He asked but all I could think of was the fact that I wasn't in my own clothes but in his.

"How did I get into these clothes?" I asked, hoping he'd say one of his maids had me changed, while he waited outside.

"I had you changed myself and I don't have a maid. I live here with my brother, no maids or female existence in this house." Was he deliberately being a jerk? Couldn't he be a little humane in his choice of words? Or does he enjoy teasing me?

Wait! What if he took pictures of my naked body or even did some silly thing to me? Am I going to be a victim of a sex scandal or leaked nudes scandal?

"As you might have already known, I don't have a social media account, so taking pictures of your nudity won't be profitable to me except I choose to sell it for money but who would buy it and how much would they offer that I can't afford in ten places? Can they really offer that much for a mere picture?" He had a weird way of comforting someone but it did work as I felt a little more comfortable.

"And also, I didn't do anything stupid so don't worry too much and scream the world down in your head." He said with a bright smile, patting me on my head; it was strangely nice and comforting.

"If you're alright to walk, come down for some dinner."

"You cooked?" I raised an eyebrow, a smile curving on my face.

"I don't exactly know how to cook, but my brother is fixing something he says is perfect for the cold weather."

"What could that be?"

"You have to come see for yourself." He offered me a hand up, as I stood up from the bed, stretching out my "new gown". It was a little comforting as I thankfully had my underwear still safe around my waist.

Following behind him, he led me into the kitchen to meet his extremely gorgeously looking brother of his.

He had an apron on his shirtless body, as he worked his fingers around the ingredients. His muscles twitched, causing my stomach to twist in excitement.

I'm not a fan of good-looking men, but the Vladamirovichs are no doubt, a different breed of good looking men, and I just got myself a new crush.

A T-shirt flew across the room from Daemon towards Seth as his quick reflexes caught it effortlessly.

My feet were stuck to the ground as I couldn't even get them to move, still admiring God's perfect creature.

"He's a devil's creature!" Daemon muttered behind me, as though hearing my thoughts.

"What?"

"Put on a dress and stop showing off. You're making her uncomfortable." He said to his brother, who lets out a soft chuckle.

Of course he isn't. Let him just remain shirtless for me.

"I don't think she minds, bro. Or do you?" Seth asked, with his eyes buried in my skin, as I swallowed hard on my own spittle.

"Uhmmm..." Of course not, just remain shirtless. But that would put me in a bad light with Daemon, who was still gorgeously breathtaking in his own way, "it's just a little discomforting."

"Oh! Sorry about that." He said, putting the shirt over him as I drowned my eyes in every last glance of his body that I could.

Regaining my composure as the dress completely covered his distracting figure, I walked towards him to properly introduce myself.

"Hi! My name is Valerie Gonzalez. It's nice meeting you." I said with an outstretched hand.

"I would love to take your hand in mine, but as you can see, they are a little occupied at the moment." He said showing the spoon and napkin in his grip.

"Oh! Yeah! Sorry." I chuckled uneasily.

"I'm Seth Vladamirovich, the older brother to that jerk over there."

"I know."

"What exactly? The fact that he's a jerk or that I'm his older brother?"

"Both actually." We chuckled.

"Have your hot chocolate before you crush my brother to death with your gaze." Daemon handed me a glass of hot choco, but I couldn't get my eyes off Seth; he was more better looking in person than in pictures.

"Thank you." I said to Seth and not Daemon who had brought me the drink, as he went to sit over at the couch.

"So, are you his girlfriend?" Seth asked, as my heart pounded faster against my chest, my brain replaying the kiss in my head. I could still feel his lips on mine and the taste of his mouth, I could feel the warmness of his tongue and the comforting icy feel his fingers gave me, but was I his girlfriend?

I wanted to be but I can't just be the girlfriend of someone who hasn't asked me out yet. Someone I wasn't sure shared same feelings with him.

Did he even love me?

Or am I mistaken?

Have I fallen totally and finally for Daemon Vladamirovich?

Was this kiss the beginning of our relationship?

Remembering the fact that I was asked a question, "No, I'm not his girlfriend."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really!"

"Well, if you must know, you're the first female he had looked at enough to bring her home in a hundred years."

Hundred years?

Maybe it was a new metaphor or something to indicate a really long time.

But if what he said was true, then does that mean I have a chance with Daemon? Is he already falling in love with me?

"It was just a kiss we shared. We were not even really friends before today and we are not going to be friends 'cuz nothing actually changes. It was just a kiss everyone has once in a while when they are sad." He blurted out without a care of my feelings.
