Chapter 5

~1301~

I was in my room reading as per usual when my sister Adelphe came into my room jumping on my bed " Oh, come on Ama join us outside instead of sitting in here rotting and throwing away your precious life" she says and I just look at her like 'absolutely not'. She looks at me with a look that I like to call 'the older sister look'" Oh my god, I just realized who you are" she says and I look at her " And who is that?" I ask

" Grandmother" she tells me as she laughs and stand up from my my bed. I scoff and run at her but she runs away and her being older and have discovered her supernatural she is also faster which I don't like. Suddenly my father stands in front of me with a smile and a very cheeky smile at that. I look at Adel and see her smiling innocently by the table with my brothers chuckling beside her.

" How good of you to join us Evangeline " my mother says and I give her a low growl hearing my tal name, she hears it and gives me a sharp look. Only my mother called me by my TAL name. It was very simple actually. Ares called me Evster or Eve which was a little better then Evangeline but ONLY he got to call me that though, Apollo called me Ami. Adel called me Ama or Mal which was only occasionally that she called me Mal and my father called me little princess or evening star which annoyed me because I am not little anymore I'm 13 not 5.

I sit down at the table and we start eating. I never really understood the point of eating like this. I like spending time with my family but obviously not more then dance and reading but I still liked it. But I don't think I will ever get the point of family dinners all we talk about is how our day was and if the boys had gotten themself a girl yet which they hadn't.

It was a bit later and my sister was still not home from being with her friends and mother and father wasn't here either, to be honest I was getting worried so I did what I thought was the best idea and I walked out to find them and I am pretty sure my brothers heard me walk out cause not even a second later they were both in front of me which made me jump a little.

" And where do you think your going, young lady" Ares asked me and I look at him with a guilty look and a sorry look " Well Adelphe, mother and father haven't came home yet and I was getting worried'' i tell my older brothers and i see them thinking about something.

" Fine, but we will go with you. Don't want anything happening to you" Ares says and grabs my hand as does Apollo. We walk down and continue forward until we end up at a cemetery. I don't know why but I feel to go in so I bring both of my brothers inside.

My brothers dosent know why i bring them into the cemetery but they go along knowing I have something special about me. We walk further in until we reach an open area and see my father, mother and some of fathers workmates including my uncle. They are all surrounding my sister and me and my brothers stand there shocked.

Tears are flowing down my cheeks. Then it happens my father stabs my sister with an Ashford stake and I let out an ear piercing scream and everybody looks at me and they all but my brothers fly back. Most of them died and the rest got seriously injured. My father and mother on the other hand survived without any injuries which was normal because they are Ashford's so it's normal for them not to get hurt badly.

They did however get flown back. After I let out the scream I was so tired that everything went black.

~NOW~

I shot up from my bed breathing very heavily, shaking, sweating with tears flowing down my cheeks "Hey, Hey it's okay. You're okay" I hear someone say and I recognize it as Kol's voice. I calm down as he holds my hand which I don't get but it's nice it's calming. " What are you doing here" I ask him and he looks at me " I heard you rummaging and breathing heavy so I thought I should check up on you" he tells me and i feel his honesty and i know that he is telling the truth " Thank you" i tell him and he sends me a nod " Do you maybe wanna go for a walk to calm yourself down a little?" he asks and i look up at him with a small smile and nod.

I had been walking with Kol for a while and it was nice. I dont know why but it felt nice to walk with him, i had gotten to know him better. I felt this pull towards him which was one of the reasons i said yes to both the ball and to go on this walk with him, i started to think about what my sister said about is being soulmates which sounds crazy but I'm starting to think it might be true.

The first time i saw him i felt something lift off my shoulders, when i first spoke to him alone i felt whole and genuinely happy, when he touched me i felt a spark go through my arm and i feel this constant pull towards him. And on top of that i am hundred and ten prosent sure he feels it too.

" So if you don't mind me asking?-" he starts and I look at him because he was the first to break the silence " What was the dream about?" He finishes, and stops to look at me. " About my sister's death" i mumble but knowing he heard me because of his enhanced hearing.

" My father he" I gulp a little and he notices's that I have tears in the verge of falling so he grabs a hold of my hand. I give him a small smile " He killed her and then a little later he uhm killed my older brother Ares" we have now sat down at a bench and he is listening in pure shock which I get.

I mean his father have been hunting them forever but never succeeded in killing any of them whilst my father did but we didn't run and after Adel's death I feared him but my brothers helped me but of course I didn't know that I could easily kill him. I do now.

" I have absolutely no idea why he did it I mean before he did it we where just being a normal family except for our supernatural parts or they had them I didn't just yet I mean I was 13 and you don't get them usually before your 18." I told him and he looks confused " What do you mean usually?" He asks

I take a deep breath " I got mine the night of my sisters murder or one of them. My banshee side, I killed multiple men and injured the rest all except my parents because Ashford's are unusual supernaturals so their stronger. My family have always know that I was special but not that I would be a banshee nor that I would unlock my supernatural at 13" I tell him and I see the shock on his face " What- so you saw your sister get killed at the age of 13? And your brothers did nothing to stop it?" He ask with a lot of curiosity which is understandable.

" Yes I did. My brothers couldn't do anything because we had no idea what they were going to do to my sister." I say and I start wondering if I should tell him about our possible soulmate bond. Of course I don't know yet but it is a possibility. " I am so sorry that happened to you" he says sympathetically I give him a small smile

" We should probably head back" i tell him after a moment of silence and he gives me a nod and rises from his seat. I chose to tell him later maybe tomorrow but I think I want to tell Elijah first I don't know why but I have a feeling he would help me and I should also probably tell Nik seeing as he is my best friend now and I am also his one and only friend.

I should tell Elijah about it and probably Nik as well as he is my best friend. Should I tell Bekah too? And Apollo? NO AMI STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. Tell Elijah and non else or at least not yet. I think to myself.
