Chapter 8

Being an Ashford comes with a great deal of responsibility. It also means that people will fear you when you are one. They will fall at their knees just to not get killed. And at the moment I am hellbent on killing that vulture that is Esther.

Like I now know why Esther and Mikael fit so perfectly together. Both are vultures who want to kill their children. Isn't it lovely. I think it is very much so. Although there is one thing stopping me from killing Esther and that is the drainage I feel of my magic. I didn't even know that could happen without using a large amount of it. It was that stupid bitch. I bet on it.

Of course at the moment i just wanna lay down on the floor and never get back up, that's how fucked up I feel. I feel like everything is just going to come crashing down any minute. Killing Esther is on my list of priority's like at the tippy top. And being me I always get what I want and I want Esther dead.

Although feeling magic-less is not helping so we'll put it on hold for a while or at least until I'm maxed out with power. So right nothing big happening here which to be honest is boring the shit out of me usually something is happening but it is literally nothing going on. " I feel dead inside." I tell the four boys in front of me " What do you mean, Evie" Ares asks me ' HELLO I WAS JUST DAGGERED TWICE " Dude I was daggered twice and you ask 'what do you mean, Evie' seriously" I say mocking his voice as I copy what he said " Well sorry" he says then Elijah speaks up " What do you mean daggered twice?" He asks me and I look at him sheepishly.

" Well whilst I was daggered I sorta got into a memory of when I was in New Orleans and my father was chasing me because apparently I was being to reckless like what me? No never and then i took a breath. Then I heard him and then-" I stop not wanting to say more because I knew how both would feel I mean my best friend and my soulmate find out I was a cold blooded murderer and have a father who kept me hidden in an opal box for god knows how long

" He daggered you?" Ares says with slight shock, he then turned to Ares " You promised you wouldn't get her daggered or even let him near her and then she ends up daggered for how long? He says slash asks Apollo. Said person looks down and mutters " 350 years" but we all heard it " WHAT?" I yell at him " 350 YEARS AND YOU DID NOTHING" I continue getting up and using the couch as support seeing as I'm still not maxed out here

" IM SORRY AMI, but dad hid you VERY GOOD okay you were in the friking Opal lake and I searched everywhere for you but didn't find you until I fell into the lake" he tells us " I WAS IN A LAKE" i tell getting very frustrated here, if you haven't noticed I get frustrated a lot and also rage moments but don't we all huh " Yea" he says again " FOR 350 YEARS" i yell again " Okay Evie we get it, you were in a lake but the good news he found you right" ares says and I grumble but nod.

I'm still pissed now all I really wanna do is go rogue again but 'control Mal control' I think " Right yea I'm gonna take a walk" I say clearly not convincing any of them but they know I need this knowing this was slight the shock for me

~ KOL'S POV~

Amali walks out of the house after finding out she was daggered for 350 years and also in a lake so it is understandable. I mean I get daggered a lot but never thrown in a lake. It had past about an hour and we had gotten to know each other for the time being until Ares gets a call, he looks on him new phone and accepts the call " Hey Evie, something wrong" he says " ARES" we hear her yell from the other side and we all get worried

" Evie what's wrong, tell me" he says "HE,S HERE ARES, HE'S HERE" she yells and me and Elijah don't understand but by the looks on the brothers face they do " Mal, you need to run" Apollo says after putting it on speaker " EVANGELINE" we hear a man's voice say. I don't know who it is or who Evangeline is but I'm guessing it's Amali seeing as Ares calls her Evie, we then hear her scream. We all get even more worried now " FATHER PLEASE, PLEASE DONT" she yells at what I know know is her father which after hearing what he did to her for me angry.

" Oh, come on my sweet evening star, I pulled it out of you sister especially for you" and phone cuts he says and you could hear the smirk in his voice " Ares". Apollo says looking at his brother with a worried look " What?" He says worried " Adelphe wasn't daggered, she had the opal stake" he says and I'm guessing it's like the white old stake and can only kill members of the Ashford family " Oh fuck" he says getting up is following closely behind " where are you going" Apollo asks " To save my little sister" he says walking out the door is closely behind.

Me and Elijah call Rebekah and nik and they meet up with us luckily her phone was on so we could track it. It ended up in the woods. We see her phone on the ground but no Amali nor her father " No, no, no, no ,no" ares says as he pickes up the phone. Nik tries to smell her out but gets nothing. I however get a burning sensation in my chest. " Kol, are you alright" Elijah asks putting his hand on my back and I look at all of them" We need to hurry" i then speed of into the woods the others close behind.

How they even trust me is beyond me but they do. And I think it is because when it comes to Amali I wouldn't dare to joke. I speed of into where my mind is telling me to go and the burning only gets worse and worse to the the point where is stop and hunch over. They stop behind me and Bekah comes up behind me rubbing my back " Kol, we have to continue" she says in a calm voice " I know that" I say and grunt " Forward, we go straight" i tell them and run off and just when I stop I see Amali and what I'm guessing to be her father. She's down and he's on top with the stake almost at her heart.

Just as the brothers where about to do something a big light emerges from where they both were and goes away. Her father was down not breathing nothing. But Amali was no where and I look at the brother and see them crying. I don't know but I feel like I just lost a piece of myself " What just happened?" Rebekah asks the two brothers. " Amali's dead that's what just happened. When the stake is used on us we die with a slight glow but if it was to ever be used on Evie she would shine like the evening star. Hence her name" Ares tells us.

" What do you mean hence her name?" Nik asks them both " Her tal name is Evangeline Amali Opal Ashford, but she didn't like to be reminded that she would shine like a fricking star if she ever got killed and it was to long for her so she just used her middle name." He tells us. We nod but I can't seem to cope without knowing she's out there. Knowing she's out there somewhere.
