NEW BEGINNINGS

One day, Darren came home and found Stacey sitting on his couch. She was wearing a tight, white dress and had her hair up in a bun. "What are you doing?" he asked. "I'm waiting for you," she replied. "You're not supposed to be here," he said. "I know," she said. "But I wanted to wait for you."

Darren walked up to Stacey and kissed her softly and they made out for a couple of minutes before discussing the future of their relationship.

Darren was sitting on the couch with Stacey, discussing the future of their relationship. The couple had been together for a year, and they were contemplating marriage. The idea of moving in together, getting married, and having kids scared Darren. Stacey had been worried about the same thing, but she did not want to pressure Darren into making a decision. They sat together in silence for a while until Stacey finally spoke up.

"I'm not sure if we should continue dating," Darren said, looking down at his hands. "We've been dating for almost a year now and I feel like we're not going anywhere."

"I know what you mean," Stacey said, nodding her head. "I feel the same way."

"Yeah, I think we should take a break," Darren said.

"Okay," Stacey said, biting her lip.

"I'll talk to you later."

Stacey nodded again before Darren walked away.

Peter and Annabelle go out for ice cream as they discuss about where their relationship is headed.

Peter feels Annabelle misses being around Darren and he might just be the rebound guy who is filling a space in her life.

"I want to be with you forever," Peter said as he pulled me closer to him. "I love you so much," I said back, and I meant it. It was true. I didn't want to say goodbye, but we knew it had to happen eventually. "We'll see what happens," Stacey replied with a smile.

"I don't want to break up," Peter said, looking at his girlfriend. "I'm just trying to figure out what I want from our relationship."

"Me too," Stacey said. "I just don't know what I want anymore. We've been together for so long, I think it's time we tried something new."

"Maybe that's what I need," Peter said. "I need to find something that will make me happy again."

"I'm not sure if we should give this a shot," Peter says, as he stirs his coffee. "I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't," Stacey says. "I know you won't."

Annabelle meets up with Cindy and they catch up on what has been happening in their lives.

Cindy and Annabelle have been friends for a long time, and they have seen each other through the good and bad of life. They are both single but have been trying to find someone for a while now. Cindy is just about to ask Annabelle if she is seeing anyone when Annabelle reveals that she is dating someone. Cindy was so excited for her friend and was trying to contain herself from jumping up and down in excitement. Cindy asks Annabelle what she likes about this person, and she says it's the way he makes her feel like he is the only one who really understands her.

"Annabelle, you seem to be so happy lately, is there a special guy in your life?" Cindy asks Annabelle while they are having lunch. "Well, I'm not really seeing anyone right now," Annabelle replies. "Oh, you don't have a boyfriend?" Cindy asks. "No, I was just saying I wasn't seeing anyone," Annabelle says. "Oh, well, if you need some help finding someone, I could help you out with that," Cindy says with a smile.

Cindy: So, what about you? What about your dating life?

Annabelle: I don't have a dating life.

Cindy: What? You don't date?

Annabelle: I used to date, but it's not like it's the most important thing in my life anymore.

Cindy has been single for a while now, and she has been thinking about getting back out there. She was talking to her friend Annabelle about it. Annabelle told her that she was dating someone too, but Cindy didn't know if she should be excited or not because Annabelle had been seeing this guy for about a month and it wasn't going anywhere. Cindy asked her what she would do if she were in her shoes and then it hit her. She realized that she would probably end up with a guy like Annabelle's boyfriend.

Darren returns home to see his family who he has not seen for quite some time because he had to travel due to the work that he does.

Darren had just returned from a business trip and was looking forward to seeing his family when he heard a knock at the door. "I'm home!" he exclaimed as he opened the door and saw his Dad. "Hey, how was your trip?" Darren's Dad asked, "It was good." "I met a girl! I met a girl!" Darren said excitedly, "I'm going to take her out on a date tonight!" "Great!" Darren's Dad exclaimed with a smile, "Do you think you're ready for that?" "I'm not sure," Darren admitted, "I think I need to take it easy and get to know her first." "That sounds like a good idea," Darren's Dad agreed.

Darren settled into his room and called James who had traveled back to Florida due to work engagements.

"I was in New York for a week for work when I met the most amazing girl. We hit it off right away and we were texting all the time. I had to leave to go back to London but I promised her that I would call her as soon as I got back. When I finally arrived back in London, my Dad asked me how my trip went. I told him about this great girl and how much fun we had. His response was, "Darren, you need to be careful with that one." I was confused and asked why. He told me that she sounded like a typical American girl and that they are usually only interested in the guys for their money." Darren said excitedly

"You say it as if I was not aware already," James said laughing over the phone.

Just as Darren dropped the phone, He received a text from his ex-girlfriend, Annabelle and she suggested they meet up to discuss about their lives so far.

Darren called her in a heartbeat and they agreed to meet up at a coffee shop during the weekend.

Darren and Annabelle are sitting in a cafe, talking about their lives so far. Darren has been working as an accountant for the last eight years, while Annabelle has been studying law. Darren says that he is not satisfied with the life he is living and feels like he should do something more with his life. He says that he wants to leave the corporate world and travel. Annabelle disagrees with him and says that she loves her job and has no desire to leave it.

Darren and Annabelle are discussing their new romantic partners.

Annabelle: "I don't think I'm ready to have sex with him yet."

Darren: "Well, it's been over a month now. I think you should give it a shot."

Annabelle: "I know, but I don't think he's into me. I'll just keep going on dates until I find the right one."

Darren: "Maybe you should stop being so picky and just try to have sex with someone for once."

"It was really nice, it was really sweet," Darren said.

"I'm happy for you," Annabelle replied.

"I think I'm in love," Darren continued.

"Well, that's great, now we can move on to the next thing," Annabelle said.

"What's the next thing?" Darren asked.

"What's the next step?" Annabelle responded.

"You know I don't know what that is," Darren said.

Annabelle laughed and they both took a sip of their drinks.
