I Will Eventually Embark on the Path of No Return Called a Hero - 72. Welcome to Hell
---
This place is harsher than the hell Hades rules over.
Tartarus Hell, a place where only those who have committed unforgivable sins are sealed, such as the Giants, the Titans, and the former god, Kronos.
"If you want to back down like an ordinary human, you still have time," Zeus grabbed Cyd's shoulder, looking very hesitant.
"What will happen if they get out?" Cyd exhaled heavily.
"The world would probably return to chaos," Zeus stroked his chin.
"Why didn't you kill them outright if they were so dangerous?" Cyd scratched his head. "How many of them are there?"
"Who knows? It's precisely because we don't know that they're a threat. Maybe they're all dead, or maybe they've been gathering enough strength, waiting for an opportunity to reclaim the world," Zeus let go of Cyd's shoulder. "I'll open a passage for you, but once you go in, I'll close it immediately."
"Then how do I get out?" Cyd glanced at Zeus, who seemed hesitant to speak further. He then hoisted the [Forged Pandora] onto his shoulder. "Never mind, don't answer that."
"Good luck," Zeus stepped back.
"Cyd, charge!"
Cyd grinned and leaped into the dark hole below.
"Did I make a mistake?" Zeus clenched his fist, causing the black hole to shrink and disappear instantly. "Brother?"
"As the King of the Gods, your decisions have never been wrong," Hades emerged halfway from the darkness, his pitch-black pupils burning with anger. "But I still hate your decision."
"I thought you always hated me," Zeus scratched his face.
"Leave this place," Hades slowly vanished into the darkness. "I will wait here."
Zeus took a deep look at the spot where Hades had disappeared.
"Someone has to play the villain, and I'm used to it... A king won't allow anyone to challenge his authority, even if that person doesn't intend to. But... child of pure white, Zeus sincerely hopes you can return."
"This is your final trial. You have saved enough people. Finally... go and save [Hero Cyd]."
This is the hell of darkness, violence, and blood—Tartarus Hell. Hope seems out of place here, where there is only despair. How can one survive here?
Probably only through hatred, hatred for the King of the Gods who sealed them here.
Only this way can they survive and wait for a chance to overturn everything.
"Boom--"
"The smell here is really awful," Cyd pinched his nose and kicked away the corpse in front of him.
"Human?" Giants started to rise from around the corpse.
"We thought the cage had opened, but that gap is too small." A giant bent down, bringing his face close to Cyd's. "Human, what great sin did you commit to be thrown here by Zeus?"
The stench from the giant's mouth made Cyd frown instinctively.
"But don't worry, we'll help you get revenge. All you need to do is hand over your flesh and blood," the giant laughed, opening his mouth wide to swallow Cyd whole.
"I understand how you managed to survive."
Cyd raised [Forged Pandora] with his left hand above his head, the blood-red crystal on his wrist shining brightly.
"And I understand why you were sealed here."
"Boom--"
With flying debris and blood spurting like a fountain, the massive body collapsed to the ground amidst the roar.
"Ah, my blood is boiling," Cyd pulled the enormous blade from the giant's half-split head and rested it on his shoulder, his black pupils tinged with a hint of red.
[Forged Pandora] — Ares Form
"Let me make one thing clear first," Cyd raised his right hand, and tiny scales detached from his shoulder cloak, forming three ropes wrapping around the hilt of [Forged Pandora].
"I will dedicate victory to the gods!"
"A lackey of the gods!" The fallen giant roared, his head beginning to heal despite being split in two.
"A lackey? Let's go with that~" Cyd twisted his left hand and swung forward, slicing the giant's face as if cutting through tofu.
"If possible, could you not resist? I'm in a hurry."
The blood color in Cyd's eyes became more prominent, and blood vessels-like patterns appeared on [Forged Pandora]'s blade.
"Many people are waiting for me!"
Cyd roared, plunging the blade into the giant's mouth, piercing straight through his throat.
Hmm? Weaker than I expected. Are you really Titans?
"Won't you help your companion?" Cyd raised an eyebrow, pulling [Forged Pandora] out. This time, the giant was truly dead.
"Companion? Hmph, many of the companions beneath your feet were eaten by him, and some by me," a bald giant stood up. "Only by doing this can we Titans survive."
"And seek revenge?" Cyd tilted his head.
"Isn't that obvious?" Without warning, the bald giant leaped up, aiming a kick at Cyd.
"I get it," Cyd reversed the giant blade into the ground. "Then I can kill you all with full force."
Scorching lava surged under the hilt, as if something incredibly hot was burning the earth. More scales extended from the cloak, wrapping around the hilt of [Forged Pandora].
"Rise!"
"Boom--"
The ground turned to lava in an instant, and a hundred-meter-long lava blade emerged from the boiling lava, slashing the bald giant's waist. The high temperature carbonized the giant's waist instantly, and before he could struggle, he was engulfed in flames.
"Kind of violent!" Cyd rested the lava blade on his shoulder, many Titans were [accidentally injured]. "But very satisfying!"
"Human!!!"
After two Titans were killed, the others realized Cyd was no prey but a genuine lackey of the gods sent to slaughter them!
The Titans roared and swarmed the tiny Cyd.
"Ah, this is exhilarating. As expected of the blessings of the God of War and Violence," Cyd exhaled, the blood color in his eyes fading, the heat dissipating, and the temperature dropping rapidly. The lava blade turned to stone in an instant. "Let me..."
"Boom--"
The stone blade was easily shattered by the Titans, dozens of giant fists smashing down on Cyd.
Black light surged from the cracks in the stones. Cyd chuckled, swinging [Forged Pandora], a black arc spreading out, cutting through the Titans' bodies.
"Calm down."
The Titans around Cyd froze as if time had stopped.
"Although it's a bit challenging, I have [witnessed your deaths], so I can [harvest]. It's really great," Cyd dragged the scythe out of the Titans, "saving travel expenses."
[Forged Pandora] — Hades Form
"You are weaker than I expected, almost deceptively so, but that's okay."
An instant death strike.
"Welcome to hell."
