Chapter 7. That's Right! This is My Servant

I Will Eventually Embark on the Path of No Return Called a Hero [Arc2] - 7. That's Right! This is My Servant

---

"Um... what are you doing, Rider?"

The priest, with a gentle but puzzled and somewhat pained smile, watched as Achilles continued to poke his fingers at the wall.

This isn't his home...

"Huh?" Achilles, veins bulging on his forehead, looked up angrily.

"Never mind, keep going," The priest, realizing that Achilles was on the verge of losing his temper, decided to use the holes in the wall to calm him down rather than risking an outburst from this super powerful hero.

Of course, just poking the wall with his fingers was obviously not going to quell Achilles' anger. Since he was forcibly returned by a command seal, Achilles had not stopped poking the wall, and judging by his furious expression and the location of the holes, they were likely at the chest or back of some large adult.

"There's still ten minutes until nine," the priest exhaled and stood in the center of the church. "Lancer, how does Ruler's strength look on your end?"

"I haven't used my full strength, and neither has he," Karna materialized, crossing his arms. "If possible, I'd like to discuss with Master the necessity of taking action against Ruler."

The priest's expression darkened but he maintained his smile. "Your Master has given me full command."

After observing the priest for a moment, Karna closed his eyes. "With both sides giving their all, I can't guarantee a victory, even if I use my Noble Phantasm."

"Even you can't guarantee it?" The priest glanced at Achilles, then shook his head.

The strongest ones here should be the extraordinary Karna and Achilles. According to Archer Atalanta, Karna's opponent is Ruler Cyd. Therefore, the only ones who could match him in a fight are Karna and Achilles.

However, if Achilles were to face Cyd, it would be an overwhelmingly unfavorable match. Both are immortal from the River Styx, but Cyd has no weaknesses. According to his legend, no one has ever broken through his defenses. It's feared that his inherent skills, upgraded according to legend, would provide him with even more terrifying defense than a hero's eternal flower. Moreover, Cyd has the divine power of Apollo, which caused Achilles' death.

So, he could only hope Karna's divine spear might be able to kill Cyd in one strike, but judging by Karna's attitude, that hope seemed slim.

This is a bit troublesome...

"Squeak---"

The heavy doors were slowly pushed open, and Karna and Achilles vanished, their forms dissipating.

"You must be the supervisor of the Holy Grail War," Sisigou walked slowly towards the priest and quietly asked the ethereal Mordred beside him, "Are there any Servants here?"

"There are three," Mordred's tone was heavy. "I have a bad feeling."

"There are four Servants here, including an Assassin," Cyd, also ethereal, spoke in a low voice.

"Welcome. My name is Kotomine Shirou."

The priest's mature tone made Sisigou feel like he was facing an experienced old man rather than a young man in his early twenties.

Suspicious...

"I am Sisigou. You must have investigated me," Sisigou took a seat on the front row bench and looked up and down at Kotomine Shirou.

"Yes, as you expected," Kotomine Shirou tilted his head. "Aren't you going to materialize your Servants?"

"Do you want to see them?"

Just as Mordred was about to materialize, Cyd materialized first and sat next to Sisigou, casually resting his scythe on his shoulder.

The priest's expression instantly turned rigid.

"How about it? This is the Divine Stone borrowed from the Mage's Association as a relic, summoned in its specialized form from the graveyard," Sisigou, understanding Cyd's intention, relaxed his expression and crossed his legs.

Mordred: (?言?╬)

"Wow... I've never heard of a Ruler forming a contract with others," After a brief moment of panic, Kotomine Shirou recovered his mature smile.

Since he had already confirmed that Ruler was Cyd, it meant Cyd could no longer be summoned by others.

"Ah~ Isn't it common? A Servant can manifest in different forms due to various class compatibilities. It's not unusual for the Holy Grail War to feature multiple Servants of the same class but different forms," Cyd shrugged.

"You're lying," Kotomine Shirou seemed less confident, especially since Karna, who had fought Cyd before, remained silent.

"Well, I'm lying," Cyd stroked the scythe-shaped [Reforged Pandora], which quickly returned to the form of a black box. "I am the Ruler of this Holy Grail War, Cyd. Nice to meet you."

"What... was it just a joke?" Sisigou clicked his tongue in disappointment. He could tell that this mature young man had been duped by Cyd. "Saber, come out..."

Stare------

Sisigou had a sudden chill at the back of his neck, and Mordred still didn't appear.

After an awkward minute, Mordred in armor appeared behind Sisigou.

"Are you not angry anymore?" Sisigou asked awkwardly.

Mordred remained silent, standing motionless with her great sword in hand behind Sisigou. Though her helmet obscured her expression, Sisigou, with his battlefield experience, could tell that Mordred was glaring at him with sharp eyes. He had a feeling that this rebellious knight would cause a scene back at the graveyard, and he had a sense that Mordred might suddenly decapitate him with a single strike.

"Snap---"

A bench in the corner of the church was split in two. Achilles, holding a long spear, stared fervently at Cyd, who was sitting on the bench.

"Just now... you said you are Cyd, right?"

"You're Achilles..." Cyd narrowed his eyes. "By the way, your mother and I have some connections. I would have liked to repay her, but I didn't get the chance before I went to Tartarus."

"Such matters are irrelevant! Fight me!" Achilles held his chest where his heart was. "I've been looking forward to the day I can fight you!"

"Not now," Cyd leaned against the bench with no intention of fighting. "Even if it comes to a fight, it will have to wait until we've dealt with the Black faction."

"More of those damn rules!" Achilles, frustrated, knocked over several benches.

"There are people who want to kill me even more than you do, and they haven't made a move yet," Cyd raised his left hand and rested it on the bench. "Right?"

"Be patient," Atalanta appeared with a golden light and sat beside Cyd.

"Ah~ Almost forgot about the big sister," Achilles reluctantly sheathed his spear.

[But big sister, you definitely can't beat him.]

This was a statement he didn't dare to voice.
