Outside of the Seshat Familia grounds was where a small stall was set up.
It had a simple wooden design with small shelves and drawers with some things that were displayed openly on the table.
Most of the lighter objects for sale were either hung up or kept in a safer location to prevent them from blowing away by the wind or having someone attempt to steal them.
On the top of the stall table was several objects ranging from dream catchers, dolls, figurines, pendants, bracelets and other items that could be purchased with Valis.
Each one of them was a small amulet or charm that had been handcrafted by Mallory.
Most of them were solely build for purification and protection with some providing additional effects.
The smaller items were mainly to be used in everyday life and were able to be worn on their bodies of others as accessories while others were household goods that could be placed in the home of those who purchased them.
Compared to the instantaneous and one use effects of the talismans, some the charms and amulets were far less effective but had long lasting effects rather than becoming useless after one use or over a long period of time.
It guaranteed them being a working long term product which created gentle and stable releases of their effects in very small doses that did not need to be replaced or thrown out immediately after one usage or being left on over a longer period of time.
They did not break once they had been used up so they still had a usage for being a clothing or home accessory but if brought back to Mallory, she could apply the effects once again to recharge it if they needed to.
Mallory had not yet worked out how to properly get a more effective method for her charms and amulets but she did have some ideas in mind to overcome the difficulties.
The main issue had been applying a kind of power source that could be used to keep the effects going but when there were items so small, Magic Stones could not be used due to them being larger in size compared to most smaller items she had created.
It could be possible to apply what she had been working on from her insights into her weapon Valis but she had yet to have a means of mass producing items.
She had some ideas on how to possibly substitute the Magic Stones with Magic Dust she had created but there was no effective method of achieving that yet besides the current ways she had been using it.
Mallory was standing at her stall looking over her customers and her recent gains while she watched her customers walk away with their new talismans.
Her emerald green eyes kept looking around carefully for a new customer that needed a talisman in the hopes of selling another one to help increase her spending funds towards her research and other projects.
The new replacements for her weapons and armor were quite costly so she had to earn more to prepare for the next batch that would need to be made for herself or to possibly contribute towards someone in her own group.
There were still so many rare items and goods that she had yet to experiment with so it was even more important for her to raise more funds.
She spotted yet another person who had come towards her stall and she provided them with a talisman to protect themselves them from harm.
As usual, Mallory told them to be careful and stay safe before continuing on with her business like any other day she was selling her goods.
No troubles came her way and she was able to make a decent amount of Valis while gaining Excelia through those who had already encountered some form of trouble but were saved due to them carrying a talisman.
Meanwhile in several locations, a couple of people waited in a cold, dark and damp alleyway where they were impatiently waiting holding a talisman each in their hands.
They were customers that Mallory had served earlier in the day and they each had the talismans as proof of that.
They stood around nervously as if waiting for someone and they kept searching their surroundings for anyone approaching.
They did not have too long to notice anything or anyone nearby until it was already much too late.
Arrows and throwing weapons flew in several different angles from different vantage points located nearby.
Each of them flew out suddenly without any warning or sign given which the targets were completely unaware of and incapable of avoiding.
Each one was aimed to kill and flew at a faster speed that was difficult for the average person to dodge.
Just as they were about to reach their targets and kill them as intended, the talismans on their bodies had lit up and automatically released a white glow of magic power.
The magical energy rushed out of the talisman that ripped apart upon activation then created a small layer of protection around those holding them.
The projectiles that were supposed to hit had bounced off the small barriers that had been surrounding them before falling to the ground.
The people standing around that were fired upon dropped down to the ground in fear covering their arms over their heads in an attempt to protect their bodies.
More weapons continued to hit the barriers surrounding their bodies until the barrier broke apart.
When the people being attacked looked around, they had found that a small bag of Valis coins had been dropped down at their feet with instructions on how they could earn more.
If they were not successful in obtaining the talismans as instructed then they would have been killed by the first attacks while the rest seemed to be mainly focussed towards testing the sturdiness of the barriers and how long they were active for.
