"Take the Z-987 and solder the connections here and here." Pam was in full teaching mode but she did not miss any chances to rub her chest up against Ayden's arm. She may not be packing much in the chest region, but she was going to use it to its fullest extent.

"Like this? Wait, if we add this resistor wouldn't it make it work better?" Ayden asked as he looked at the setup they had going.

"Oh? Let me see." Pam looked at what Ayden was talking about, and her eyes went wide. "You are right not only can you boost the amount it will augment but it will also add additional effects. You have good eyes."

"I have been messing with electronics and stuff for many years. I could never afford to buy them, so I always found ones tossed out and repaired them." Ayden explained as he finished soldering the pieces together.

[(Rare)Unique Modified Elven Augment Chip]

[(Mod)Attack Power + 10]

[Strength + 10]

[Stamina + 10]

Looking at the completed item, and the additional effect, Ayden couldn't help but feel satisfied. "Very nice item…."

"Oh? Can you tell its effects?" Pam asked with a questioning gaze. She was wondering how Ayden knew the effects when even she still had to analyze it to see the changes with the addition Ayden added.

"I have an ability to see certain stats," Ayden answered honestly. "This is called a Unique Modified Elven Augment Chip. It adds ten to attack power, strength, and stamina."

"So it added attack power and a few points extra to the other stats. This will definitely sell well. If we make a bunch of these as is and you sell them, you will be able to make a pretty credit!" Pam said with a smile as she hugged Ayden.

"Are you sure it is okay for me to sell these?" Ayden asked. After all, they were elven made.

"You remember the magic circle I told you to embed into the Y-6235 chip?" Pam asked.

"Mmm… Is that some kind of safeguard?" Pam never explained anything and just told him to use his nano to create a specific kind of magic circle. He had the information injected into his mind, and it was not even seen by the system, so he was unsure what kind of spell it was.

"That magic circle is, as you said, a safeguard. If anyone were to try to pull this apart and recreate at it, they would destroy it. The chip cover alone, when it is removed, will cause the whole thing to burn up into nothing. Why else do you think elven tech is able to be sold but not copied?" Pam replied as she stood up and picked up the chip Ayden had made.

"Edge, I am trusting you with these things because you are my apprentice, and we have already shared a bed, so if you betray me, I will cut off certain parts of your body." Pam's words were said with a smile, but they sent a shiver down Ayden's spine. It also confused him since he already did the contract, so he did not know why she had to bring up cutting things off. Not to mention she was being highly ambiguous about the whole bed sharing thing!

"Master, I wouldn't share these things anyways because I already did the magic contract thing, plus I need this to finance my sister's future," Ayden replied as he began working on his second augment chip.

Pam pursed her lips and humphed. But she still stood there and watched over Ayden as he made more Augment chips. When he finished the tenth chip, he saw a message pop up.

[Hidden Quest Completed!]

[Received 10000 XP]

After seeing the message, Ayden looked at the clock and saw that it was almost time for him to log out. "Looks like I will need to go to the auction tomorrow…."

"Are you leaving?" Pam asked, causing Ayden to be startled. He turned and looked at her, seeing her eyes filled with a hint of loneliness. He wondered if she understood what logging out meant. He sighed and stood up, and placed his hand on top of her head, startling her as he said: "I will be back after a deal with a few things, I promise."

"Okay!" Pam nodded and swatted Ayden's hand away before looking at the augment chips on the table. "When you get some different parts, I will teach you how to make more augments. And once you get enough things to make proper cybernetics, I will teach you the fine art of eleven craftsmanship."

"Alright, I will be off then. Master, don't answer the door like that if someone knocks." Ayden said. He was worried his defenseless Master would be taken advantage of.

"Oh? Is someone jealous? Don't worry. I won't show anyone else my body from now on. Only you, my precious disciple." Pam winked and blew Ayden a kiss. Ayden shook his head and smiled helplessly as he disappeared. When he was gone, Pam stood there for a moment before leaving the room to go get changed.

When Ayden woke up, he took off the headset and sat up. He felt kind of weird after playing an entire night and running around in the game and then not feeling tired at all after waking up. But this did not stop him from the task at hand. "Need to make Madi some breakfast."

As Ayden was cooking, Madi walked out of her room, rubbing her eyes. She walked over to where her brother was and leaned against him. "Brother, morning…."

"Breakfast is almost ready. Wash up and eat, then brush your teeth before you go." Ayden said as he looked at his sister, who still acted like a spoiled child with warmth in his eyes.

"Brother, can you walk me to school today?" Madi asked as she stretched and walked over to the sink.

"Are you sure? Won't I embarrass you?" Ayden asked. He had not really taken care of his looks, so he was kind of ragged looking since he did not have nice clothes.

"How can my brother be an embarrassment!?" Madi yelled out while pouting. "You will never be an embarrassment, so never say that again."

Ayden looked at Madi, who was like an angry cat, and sighed. "Alright, but I will need to at least clean up a bit. This is almost done. Turn it off in three minutes and eat."

"Okay!"
