Hell rocket

"Who says i don't have a boat in my bag?" leon asked with a teasing smile. opal rolled her eyes "so how exactly do you intend to get to that island without carrying me?" she asked curiously. "tsk , you're no fun at all. since we don't have a boat on had i simply have to make one is all." leon said casually. opal raised an eyebrow "pretty sure that would take a rather long time to do , or at least it would for a normal person." she said sarcastically. leon grinned " i'm not a normal person though so give five minutes , ten tops and we shall have our vessel." he said with a wicked glint in his eye.

Opal felt the muscles in her face twitching about six minutes later when she saw the "vessel" that leon crafted out of metal he magicked out of the ground. it was a little smaller than genesis but the shape was what was causing her so much distress. the thing looked like a massive bullet with a sharp point and cylindrical body that had four small wings attached to it. the back of the thing wasn't flat like a bullet but rather caved in like a bowl with a suspicious hole in the center of it.

Opals concerns were verified when leon opened the hatch and she saw the seating arrangements. there was five seats in the cockpit set up in roughly the shape of a triangle with the seat in the middle having a hole in the back that lined up perfectly with the hole in the strange bowl-like back end. the controls also sent off alarms in her mind as they looked very much like those of the flying machines she has seen before. the only reassuring part of the thing was the fact it had a wide clear windshield that let those inside see out.

"Where's the engine?" she asked seriously. leon grinned widely "you are looking at him." he said with a snicker. "if i die from this death trap i'm going to haunt you forever." she said spitefully before getting in the "vehicle" and strapping on the eight point harness on the seat. leon chuckled before sitting in the seat with the hole in the back of it and grabbing the hatch to close it and lock it. once he was strapped in leon grabbed the controls and smiled excitedly.

"BOOM!"

With a deafening explosion hell flame burst out from behind leon into the hole with extreme force launching the "vehicle" off the side of the cliff. opals heart was in her throat both from anxiety as well as the sudden high g force she was subjected to. it was only after she saw that they weren't falling that the panic faded away and she grew excited at the rapidly passing clouds she could see through the windshield. as far as she knew no one had ever moved so fast beyond leon who could go even faster apparently.

Unlike leon however her body would fall apart at such speeds so he purposefully toned down their travel speed to what a fighter pilot back on earth might experience. for a skilled hunter like opal such speeds were rather intense to experience but not detrimental at all no matter how long she was subjected to it. leon saw how how relaxed opal had become with this method of travel and decided to mess with her a little and angled the wings down causing the whole vehicle to nose dive towards the sea.

"THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!? PULL UP BEFORE WE DIE!" opal screamed at leon but he just started to laugh maniacally but didn't slow down or pull up at all. what opal didn't know was that the bullet shape of the vehicle wasn't designed exclusively with air travel in mind but rather for underwater and air travel. normally hitting the water at such high speeds would mean instant death but leon had a stupidly well rounded system of magic in his pocket that just so happened to have a spell designed with this in mind.
