Divine artifact

After that little chat leon started to collect as many samples of each unique thing he could which numbered up to a hundred before cheating and flying up to orbit to reach vale within an hour. dropping off the samples leon restocked up on the containers but learned from his lesson and grabbed four times as many as he had before in hopes it would be enough. opal and leon both spent the next two days collecting the various different samples and exploring the island for any interesting things. interestingly enough they had discovered a single ancient necklace in a cavern under the spiders nest that made leon very nervous.

The reason for this was the faint golden glow that came from the thing that was suspiciously similar to the tiny grain of solid life force he had in his storage. compared to that grain though it was clear that this glow was of a massively higher quality and concentration. leon would have needed to be an idiot not to realize that this necklace was an artifact belonging to the god of light and life. 'why here of all places? is it the fact no one has been here before , but then how did this thing get here?' leon thought with a frown.

Opal noticed how on edge the strange glowing necklace was but simply couldn't understand why since as far as she could tell it was a benevolent item. "whats got you so spooked leon this thing is harmless , see?" she asked while holding the necklace up on her palm. leon had a sour expression "the glow coming from that necklace is pure concentrated lifeforce in such an intensity that it is visibly noticeable. i can only thing of a single thing that could have made it like that." leon said seriously and opal paled when she figured it out.

Not surprisingly she dropped the necklace like it was suddenly made of molten metal and backed away from it with visible terror. "a divine artifact , i thought those were myths!?" she exclaimed in horror. leon nodded "i knew the gods existed but i didn't know they had left behind any ACTUAL items behind." he said seriously. 'this complicates things greatly' he thought with a frown. the god who's influence was on the necklace was catching up with his younger brother when he noticed the man frown.

"What is it brother?" the light god asked confused. the other god with the animal features spoke calmly despite his frown "the little mortal has discovered the necklace salem had on when you cursed her with immortality. i am worried that it may cause him to explode thanks to his semblance should he touch it since it is filled with your life divinity." he explained honestly. the god of light turned his attention to the world and did indeed see that this was the case as well as how the two mortals had figured out it was tied to him as well.

"Hmmm , i had forgotten about that item resting there after salem discarded it all that time ago. what do you suggest?" the light god asked calmly. "i was going to see if i couldn't trade it from him since i think it wouldn't be fair to simply steal it from him." the other god said honestly. as if on que another rift was opened in the very fabric of reality and a woman with short black hair and silver eyes walked out. looking around the woman was surprised when she saw the world over in the distance.

"So this is where you have been for the past few days huh?" she said as she turned to look at the god with animal features who had a sheepish expression like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. "i can explain dear , really i can." he said with a pleading expression. the woman rolled her eyes at his antics "you'd think after all this time you'd have at least had the decency to tell your poor mistreated wives you were going to visit your other family." she said acting hurt.
