[Ori, u didn't do this, right... I trusted u with those... Idk if u noticed but u having them is a big deal!] - Christy

[A big deal huh? Wouldn't want your walking advertisement to get lost, huh!] - Ori

[Look, just spit whatever you want to say out alright? I don't get what's eating you but I won't know until u say it] - Christy.

[Whats eating me!? I'll tell you, one of the people i thought i could trust, one of the people who stuck by me after my fam was killed, they turned out to be a piece of shit like the rest of this fucking city!] - Ori

[You're not talking about me are you!? Because i never did anything to break your trust! We're friends! Friends stick together!] - Christy

[Fuck you. I saw it, Christy! I saw it all, the fucking news articles, the pictures of us, the headlines, you were fucking doing ever since we met! FRIENDS!? WE AREN'T FRIENDS! I'M THE DAMN ORPHAN YOU DO PHOTO-OPS WITH!] - Ori

[So you found out... Yeah, I admit it, I was using u to boost my numbers, but I had a good reason for it. doesn't mean the things I did were worthless, you are my friend, even if u don't think so.] - Christy

[you still say we're friends huh? alright, if were friends you will tell me one thing.] - Ori

[If it'll make u trust my word. i was serious about what i said, i dont have many people i can speak to honestly... u are one of the people i know that doesn't just care about my fame, money, or social stats.] - Christy

...

[Do you know why Casinha was attacked?] He simply texts, staring with intensity at the screen and waiting for her reply. He knew something was up when it took her a whole minute to start texting back, and the answer left him less than satisfied.

[No.] - Christy

[Friends. What a joke.] - Ori

[Christy D'Clert has been blocked]

He tosses the half-smoked cig out the window and starts the car before angrily driving towards the desert. He drives all the way out to an isolated area around Rocky Ridge, parking his car on a hill just as the region turned orange from the setting sun.

He stomps out of his car and retrieves Max's LMG from the back, lighting up another cig before unloading a barrage of bullets at a nearby car wreck.

*DAGAGAGA!*

"Fucking bitch! Lie to me!?" he growls between bursts.

*DAGAGAGA!*

"I know you know something!"

*DAGAGAGA!*

"I'll fucking sell your tickets with a bomb attached!"

*DAGAGA!*

...

He pauses, lowering the weapon slightly, "Why do things always have to be this way... Every. Fucking. Time!

*DAGAGAGAGAGAGAGA!!-CLICK!*

...

He tosses the empty gun on the ground and takes a seat on a nearby rock, replacing his burned-down cig with another while admiring the sunset.

"You run outta bullets yet?" a familiar voice asks behind him, causing him to whip around and point his pistol at them in a slight panic.

Rebecca just snickers at him, pushing the gun aside and sliding next to him, close enough that their shoulder were touching. She idly swings her legs as she watches the sun descend, "This is a nice spot... Maybe you should get pissed off more often?"

"How're you here...?" he questions.

She smirks, pointing a thumb over her shoulder at his car which now had its trunk open. "I snuck inside while you were distracted... You should be more careful, I coulda been your assassin y'know."

...

"Wanna talk about it?" she asks after some moments of silence.

"Not really... I've gotten it outta my system."

"That bitch singer again, right?"

"I said I don't wanna talk about it. Okay?"

...

She zips up her dark pink jacket, "Weird how deserts get so cold so quickly huh?"

"I prefer the cold... If you're feeling it you can just put on more layers. When it's too hot? Not like you can take your skin off."

"Eh, there's actually Cyberware for that... I heard of one that makes you immune to fire too, kinda awesome when you think about it. Yo, if you get one, would you let me throw a molotov at you? Let you run at the bad guys like some sort of freaky demon?"

He lets out a chuckle at that, "The fire wouldn't stop their bullets, would it? No thanks."

"It wouldn't stop your clothes from burning either, shame I'll never see that..."

She smiles, slipping her right hand into his left jacket pocket and gripping his hand. He felt her warm palm and her rather chilly Cybernetic fingers in comparison. It was odd, yet comforting... "You've got your own pockets you know."

"Yeah? Well, I'm taking this one back. I did buy that jacket." she retorts, ignoring the fact she was wearing a jacket he'd bought too.

He tightens his grip on her hand, interlacing their fingers as the sun finally starts dipping over the horizon. A chilly breeze blows through the area, prompting Rebecca to push her body against him, even resting her head against his shoulder

Ori glances down at her and finds himself struck... Her pale face was beautifully shaded orange, her green hair let down and draped across her neck. Her strange pink and green eyes strayed from the sunset and met his.

His heart skipped a beat, butterflies flapping their wings in his stomach as an urge hits him. It wasn't a conscious movement, nor something he'd really considered before... Yet, it felt right. He leant down and layered his lips over hers.

Her eyes widened momentarily, surprised at his sudden action, yet after a moment of confusion, she closed them and reciprocates. It wasn't anything overtly sexual, merely them trading feelings physically...

Ori releases the kiss and leans away, locking eyes with Rebecca who had a red hue staining her cheeks, probably mirrored by his own. He looks away, embarrassed at what he'd done, "Sorry... I know you said-"

"No! This is fine..." she trails off, not able to find her words. Eventually, she just settles on, "It was nice..."

"It was nice...?" Ori parrots, amusement in his tone.

"What? I can't exactly compare it to anything else, not like I go around kissing rando's..." she retorts heatedly, still very aware of their interlaced fingers.

"Relax..." he mutters with a small smile, "It was nice... Wanna go again?"

"Thought you'd never ask, Lampost!" she grins, this time taking the initiative and pouncing on him.
