Since then, they became friends, and the closest to that matter. Reine felt himself happy and free whenever he was with her and he literally loved her company.

While they were there, they suddenly heard noises outside on the streets. Reine looked at Leah and asked her

"What's going on out there?"

"I don't know your highness, wait I'll go and check"

Leah was about to stand when Reine held her hand and told her

"No wait, I'll go"

Reine stood and went to the streets while Leah followed him behind.

"What's with all the commotion?"

Reine asked as soon as he arrived in the streets, he asked the first person he saw.

"Your highness!"

The man bowed at his highness and raised

"Another prisoner was found and I heard that she was found in the forbidden forest"

" The forbidden forest, how was she even able to cross the badlands? "

Reine asked in shock as how could a woman was able to pass through the badlands and remain alive?

"No one knows your highness, and the surprising thing is that she's a human"

Reine's eyes flew wide and stared, how was that possible? Even the most powerful never survived the badlands and she as a mere human was able to.... No, that's not possible

"Where is she?"

"At the auction your highness"

" Alright, thank you"

" My pleasure your highness "

The man bowed again and left. Suddenly Reine felt uneasy ness in his heart as he could hear his heart beating loud in his ears.

"Your highness.... What's wrong?"

Leah asked him, but Reine was lost in his thoughts that he couldn't even hear a word that she was saying, instead of answering her, he said to himself

"That's impossible, there's no way she could have survived the badlands as a mere human."

" Your highness.... "

Leah called again, but Reine still didn't answer her

" I need to see her and see it for myself"

" Your highness, your not thinking of going to the auction are you? "

Reine looked at leah. He faced her and told her.

"Leah I have to go now, I'll meet you next time, promise"

Reine caressed her cheek and left. Leah looked at him with worries.. is he about to break his one noble behavior?.... She asked herself as she saw him disappearing in the crowd ....

"40 dimes!!!!!!"

"60 dimes!!!!!"

"90 dimes!!!!"

The auction had already started by the time he arrived, everyone were shocked to see him, the dukes who sat beside him asked him as they too couldn't believe that he was here at the auction

"Your highness, how come your here at the auction? "

" I just decided to drop by and see how this thing goes"

" Well your highness, if she's one of your liking then please let me know and I'll gladly offer her to you"

Reine remained quiet as he sat on one of the chairs of the high dukes in mirrormoor on the second floor facing downwards. He looked at the girl who was chained in heavy metals..

he saw the chains around her body, it reminded him of that day when he too was chained just like her after fighting endlessly the monsters in the forbidden forest til the vampires captured him and brought him to the city. He looked at her with so many questions in his mind ad he wondered if she was the same as him. If she had the powers and abilities like him... But as he looked at her, her features were different from his. The first thing he noticed was the colour of her hair. They weren't white silver like his. Hers were dark, dark as the night, dark as the raven itself, they dropped flowlessly to her back as they were also long like his. She couldn't see her face as she was kneeling with her face faxing downwards. He saw her dirty light blue, torned gown as it was chained all over.

"120 dimes!!!!"

"209 dimes!!!"

"Wow, she's one of a kind, I wonder how a weakling like her could pass through the badlands while still being alive, that's nothing but a miracle"

The duke sitting next to him said to Reine.

Reine looked at the girl again and wondered the same. How could she pass the band lands and managed to enter the forbidden forest? She must not be just a normal human,she must be something more than that,she must be....

"400 dimes!!!!!"

" 400 dimes once!!!! "

" 400 dimes twice!!!! "

Reine's heart beat faster at the last counts and when he heard "sold!!!!!!" His heart stopped as if his ears went deaf.

"Sold to lord Henry dutch" everyone yelled and celebrated the victory of lord Henry.

Lord Henry bowed and laughed marvelously.

"Raise her face"

Her face was raised, what met Reine's eyes was a disbelief. He looked at her and stare at her........

Her eyes, what was her eyes doing to him? He felt his knees getting weak as he saw her beautiful blue dark eyes. Her eyes with her long dark wet lashes made Reine's heart ache. What was she doing to him? It's not like she had magic that spellbound him with her eyes ..... No no that can't be possible, she's only a human and she looked like a fragile one.

"Raise her up!!"

They forced her to stand. Reine eyes widen again. She looked marvelous, though she had bruises he could see the beauty in her. Her milky skin, her dark hairs which matched perfectly with the colour tone of her skin, her pumped lips, though they were torn, he still saw the beauty in them. And her eyes, oh her eyes, how beautiful they were.... How mesmerizing they were in his eyes. "Take her to my house!!!!!!" People cheered as they heard that as Reine's heart beated pound so hard he could feel it to his toes. He saw her turning and leaving. He stood and watched her as she was dragged out of the auction hall. He couldn't bear to see her like that, just who the heck was she to shake him like this,to install fear in his eyes for her, he wanted to ignore this feeling inside him, maybe it was just his imagination he thought, but when he saw that single tear drop underneath her eyes.....he couldn't help himself but shout.....
