"Uncle Jonathan, is this really the infamous Margaux?" Pam asked as she watched Mr Jonathan treating the defenseless human before them. She was told the infamous witch was scary but this human before her was nothing near scary.
"I'm also doubting, why would Connor bring you here to treat her? If she is really the infamous Margaux, why didn't they just kill her?" Sam was the one to ask this time. He had also heard of the malicious deeds she had committed in the past and he couldn't quite get the reason why she had not been killed yet, if she was a threat to the vampires then she ought to be killed not treated.
"Since you two have nothing to do, why don't you two go prepare a meal for her to eat?" Mr Jonathan said not sparing a glance at the curious kids beside him. He knew that if just allow them to stand there and watch him, they would keep inquiring about Margaux so he had to keep them busy that was the only way to keep their mouth shut. When he didn't hear them move, he turned to look at them. "Why are you two still standing there?" He watched them grumbled as they left the room.
They walked into what seemed to look like a kitchen. All the kitchen utensils were available but there was no food items at all. They walked towards the fridge at the kitchen and opened it, they found four bottles of blood in the fridge.
"That's blood!" Sam exclaimed.
"Yeah, i can see that." Pam replied as she closed the fridge. "Wow, such a nice kitchen." She said sarcastically as they couldn't even find any food items to prepare dinner for the human girl. "Seems like the witch would have to starve this night."
"Aren't you curious to know how the blood taste? Sam paused then he faced Pam before he continue speaking. "Let's drink the blood, afterall, Uncle Jonathan is not here." He suggested.
"No, Uncle Jonathan forbid us from drinking blood if you're feeling tempted by it, why don't you just go and look for Uncle Damon and tell him that there is no food stuff here to cook." She said after contemplating for a long time on whether to just drink the blood like Sam suggested or stick to Uncle Jonathan rules.
Sam let out a disappointed sigh before leaving the kitchen.
Pamela folded her arms as she surveyed the kitchen if she could find any food items she could at least use to prepare dinner but found none. She shifted her gaze to the fridge then she remembered the words her brother had uttered before leaving the kitchen. She opened the fridge to take out one of the bottles containing blood but she froze when she heard his voice.
"Touch it and get your hands chopped to pieces." Caesar warned, and then a strange expression appeared on his lips, it was more like a simper. He watched as she quickly closed the fridge and instinctively bow her head at him.
She wouldn't want to get on the bad side of the crown prince. He and Damon were the two most feared creature that no vampire or witches would want to cross path with. "I was just looking around the kitchen." She immediately came up with that silly excuse to save herself. Actually, she had wanted to drink the blood. Well, all thanks to her idiotic brother who just raise her curiousity. Their Uncle Jonathan had forbidden them from drinking blood so they had never tasted blood since they were born. She thought she could sneakingly drink it without her brother and Uncle's awareness but unluckily for her, she got caught by him.
Caesar hummed as he walked into the kitchen, he opened the fridge and brought out a bottle of blood. "I see you haven't tasted blood." He spoke, moving to pick a glass cup.
Pamela furrowed her brows as she wondered how he knew that she had never tasted blood before.
He picked a glass cup then opened the bottle and poured the blood into the glass cup. He raised the glass cup, offering it to Pam as she stared at him in confusion. "Take it and drink it." He said in a low husky voice.
Pam swallowed her saliva as she stared at the glass of blood in his hand. It was tempting enough for her to just take the cup and drink it. She had always wanted to taste blood because of the things her other vampire friends had told her about it. Her friends had told her about how sweet and delicious it tasted and she couldn't help but be curious. She wanted to taste it, she also wanted to feel the delicious taste of blood in her mouth but then she remembered her Uncle's warning. He had warned them against drinking blood, although she didn't know the reason why her Uncle was against it when it was normal for vampires to drink blood but she was sure he probably had his reasons as she had not seen him drink blood before. She still couldn't help but wonder why this man was offering her blood to drink. Was he trying to test her?
"Why should i drink it? Afterall, you might want to chop my throat to pieces if i drink it....since you're stingy for food." She said trailing off the last part. If he was really testing her, then rejecting his offer was the right thing to do. She cleared her throat as she added. "I came here to prepare dinner for that mortal but since there's nothing here, I'll just take my leave." Immediately after she finished her words, she rushed out of the kitchen.
Caesar smiled as he slowly sipped his drink from the glass cup.
