A Day at the Museum

I woke up confused, I didn’t recognize the surroundings and someone else was there. When my brain finally connected, I heard Cian singing in the shower. Hmm, he didn’t strike me as a morning person. I turned over and tried to warm myself back to sleep, but my body refused. I sat up and blinked when I saw the time. 11.30. Bloody hell, no wonder I was out of it, I hadn’t slept that long in years. I heard the shower shut off and decided to get out of bed. I opened the curtains and to my delight the weather was quite nice. Cold as hell probably, but the sun was out, and the sea was glistening.

Cian was all smile when he came out, dressed in jeans and a woollen sweater that matched his eyes.

“You’re awake!”

His good mood rubbed off and I laughed. “I haven’t slept like that in ages, you should’ve tossed cold water in my face to wake me.”
