It is late and dark outside. The motel where Sabine is holed up is quiet and peaceful. No signs of the bikers out to find her yet. Skylar stashed some new clothes and accessories here so that there was no need for packing. Sabine would be traveling light tomorrow morning, first thing.
Sabine took a scolding hot shower, hot enough to peel the paint off the walls, just to get the feel and stench of Ty off of her body. She threw on a bathrobe, picked up the clothes she wore today, and headed outside. This shit must burn. Hoping to burn the last memory of the day from her subconscious.
When Sabine entered her room, she locked the door and made sure the room was safe and secure before falling onto the bed and drifting into a restless night’s sleep. Not knowing if Victor or the Sons would find her before she leaves in the morning. Her brand new R1 is out back in the parking lot of the motel, well hidden, any new biker shows up in town and the Sons are alerted straight away this being their town and all.
Her look has changed, no longer is Sabine DeAngelo a blonde, her hair is now a dark brown with red streaks and her blue eyes are now green, thanks to the contact lenses she will be battling to put in, in the morning.
Sabine is now showered and dressed after a surprisingly peaceful night’s sleep. Thanks to the complete makeover Sabine is now unrecognizable. It’s strange what a few changes could do to a person’s appearance and self-esteem. This is exactly the look and feel that Sabine was going for, not even Sky would recognize her now.
Skylar has been a great friend, since the day that Victor brought her to the club. She was very badly beaten up and spent months away from us, apparently healing from wounds. She remembers nothing from her past or her family. We became close friends and then we became inseparable, almost like sisters. She has helped me through some very dark times.
Being affiliated with the club, I knew I couldn’t expect loyalty. I mean really, what kind of fool would I be with half-naked skanks hanging around the men, you give it to them on a silver platter and the men will eat.
I take a deep breath, put my dark locks under my leather jacket, my tight leather pants tucked into my black boots, and put my black and red full-face helmet on. Sling my bag over my shoulders and head to my R1. I hit the long road to meet up with Chris and the Knights Legends MC. In a few days, I will be far enough away and hopefully be able to start a new life under a new alias unknown to everyone I meet.
Victor.
I dismissed Sabine without even thinking twice. Now I regret that motion with everything in me. How could I have been so god-damn stupid? I had made plans for that woman, now I need to please explain to a man that puts the ever-loving fear of god in me. Killing her was not an option, funny how one would think so, considering how I treated her and how things ended with us but I just couldn’t kill her, so I had been playing with the idea of selling her off to the cartel, Valentino was pleased with his procurement of Sabine, now she is gone, FUCK I need to get her back or I am dead. Valentino is not a man you mess with.
“Is there any news on Sabine, can someone tell me fucking something?” I yell at the men that are staring nervously back at me, my feet pounding on the floor as I pace backward and forwards. All their mouths are wired tightly shut and my anxiety is reaching an all-time high.
“Skull bring in Skylar, they were always together, maybe she knows something?” Skull’s back goes rigid, but he follows my orders. He should know better than to go against me at a time like this, I have seen how protective he is over Skyler but he should also know better than to go against me, I mean fuck, my life is on the line here. He and I need to have words about his intentions, I clearly stated she is to remain off limits.
Skylar walks in with Skull close behind her, her head hangs down and she is fidgeting with her fingers, is that guilt? Does she know something that we are not privy to?
“Pres,” she says not lifting her eyes to look at me.
“Where is she Sky?” I ask not giving her a chance to lie her way out of this one. I know she knows something, she and Sabine were thick as thieves, and she has to know something.
“I dropped her off at home Pres. as instructed when she wasn’t feeling well, other than that, I know nothing” she was sticking to her story, my patience was running out and without thinking, I raised my hand and hit her full force in the face. She stepped back with the force and right into Skull’s front.
Her eyes were large and she was in shock, No one has ever lifted a hand to my pawn but I am done playing games. Skull’s eyes were just as big and he started huffing like a bull, he was so angry. I looked at him daring him to try something, but he did nothing. Typical.
“Tell me the truth” I yelled at Sky again but still she told me the same thing, she knows nothing. I took a step forward my anger finally getting the better of me and I made to grab her around the throat but in motion, Skull grabbed my hand and shook his head, his eyes were spitting pure venom. When Skull got like this we all usually left him to handle our enemies he was potent in this form, but against me, he has never retaliated against one of us before, and all for what, a piece of tail.
Before I could even make a move or utter a retaliation, Ty had his gun pulled and had it pointed point blank at Skull’s head, within seconds Skull was lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood, with a screaming and crying Sky hanging over his lifeless body.
“Dig deep boys and find her, she can’t be far?” I say shaking my head as I look at Skull lying on the floor. What a waste, I thought to myself as I walked away.
