CHAPTER 15

“ Do I mean that's much to you?” I stutter, he let go off me, avoiding eye contact with me.

“ Take a break, I will be back” He announced walking to the locker room.

I never got to see him again during practice, as he assigned Zane to train me for the rest of the day.

When I got back to my room, my whole body was feeling really sore, I manage to wash my feet before a knock came banging at the door.

Luke walked in and as usual went ahead to offer himself a sit right on my bed.

“ Dinner has been served, but Dario won't be joining you”

“ Why, what happened?” I was curious.

“ Something urgent came up, he had to travel to Clinton”

“ And he didn't think I needed to know” There was this anger fuming from the pit of my stomach, he always made me feel I was important to him but not too important to inform me of his whereabouts.

“ It was a last-minute decision, you don't need to worry, he will be back by tomorrow.”

“ Luke, am not hungry, I just need to rest”
