Perfect Timing

Part 18

Maxine is extremely exaggerated and because she really likes Mao a lot. She wants to be the only girl he notices. When Maxine saw Yurena, she felt like she was going to be her competition, something she wouldn't allow to happen.

Meanwhile, Mao returned to his office and immediately opened the basket Yurena gave him. He just laughed because it was filled with different colored dried wings of flying fish and whale teeth in different sizes and shapes. There are also shells with small pearls attached.

At that moment the billionaire was entertained by what Yurena did. He didn't quite think that she would pull his prank the last time they met.

But still, it's rare for a woman to make an effort for him. And Yurena did it even though there was nothing in return. Mao just found himself smiling as he looked at the things the girl had given him.

Later, he called his assistant and instructed him. "Call this number. Tell her I want to talk to her," he said as he reached for Yurena's number.

All of a sudden Mao became interested in getting to know the girl. He wanted to know where she lived, who her parents were and what she was up to most of the time. He knows that there is something special about Yurena and he wants to know her better.

She is weird but it can't be denied that she is very beautiful.

Beauty is effortless, maybe he can find it a bigger opportunity to make her life better.

Meanwhile, Kaikane received the call and immediately informed Yurena that Mao Ferragamo wanted to see her.

"It seems that everything is going according to your wishes, Yurena," Kaikane said. The concern can be seen in his eyes.

"The only way I can carry out the mission properly is to get close to Mao. I can kill him while we're dating or he's sleeping," Yurena answered.

Kaikane laughed. "Yurena, killing is not a joke. Here on the high ground, it is a serious crime, and a serious crime comes with a correspondingly heavy punishment. All I can advise is that you study your strategy carefully and do it cleanly and flawlessly, with no mistakes and no traces that will destroy you."

"I will, Aunt. Please don't worry about me. I hope that one day this will all be over," answered Yurena.

"I can't help but worry about you, especially since I promised Celes that I would take care of you. In the few months we've been together, I've treated you like a real daughter," Kaikane whispered. She looked into Yurena's eyes and spoke again. "Do you want to live in peace? Just don't do the mission, let's go and hide in a distant land," she suggested.

"Sometimes I thought of just leaving, going to a faraway place. There was no one who would recognize me. Sometimes I thought of abandoning my mission," Yurena replied, sadness drawn in her eyes.

"Oh, why don't you do it? Why do you have to do things against your will?" Kaikane asked.

"Because I promised that I would give justice to those of our kind who died due to the widespread poison in the ocean. I also promised my mother Celes that I would return home successfully. I don't have the courage to break what I promised them," Yurena answered, there is a deep sadness in her voice.

"I understand, don't worry because whatever you decide I'll support it," Kaikane replied while stroking the girl's hair.

At that moment, Yurena prepared to meet Mao Ferragamo. She is determined to fulfill her mission and now is the right time to do it.

Yurena took the poisonous seaweeds from her equipment and looked at it carefully. "This is what I'm going to use to kill Mao Ferragamo," she whispered to herself.

Meanwhile Mao was in the office, still holding the painted flying fish wing that Yurena had given him and he couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Yurena is indeed special. I want to get to know her better. I know there's something about her that other girls don't have. And this is what I want to know," he whispered to himself while grinning.

At that moment they were both thinking of each other.
