It is very seldom that a mermaid is born during a full moon. So it was believed that Yurena would bring misfortune to her race. One day, an oil spill from an oil tanker spread all over the ocean and killed many mermaids and other sea creatures. This event can be considered a catastrophe and is called a bad omen or misfortune brought by Yurena according to their old belief. 

Yurena was blamed for that incident and their race united to send her to earth to retaliate and kill the man who owned the ship who spread the chemical in their home under the sea. Here, she will meet the handsome billionaire Mao Ferragamo and fall in love with him. 

This will bring confusion in Yurena's mind, what is more important? Her mission or her happiness?

Kaikane escapes from her captivity and goes to Mao to help him save Yurena and others. Kaikane still has the ability to defend herself.  In addition to that, Kaikane's strong will and belief in her own abilities make her stronger!

"Yurena is in the main laboratory, that's where Godwyn Lehman took her. While the other captive mermaids are locked up in the other building in Project Aqua," Kaikane said while they are running and hiding.

"Aunt, how did you know all this?" Mao asked as they hid in the rock and prepared to attack.

"Because I'm smart and it's within my ability to sense where Yurena and the others are. Just follow me because we're running out of time!" Kaikane replied. After a while she drank water and when she blew it into the air it turned into small blades that flew towards the guards of the building.
