A clingy buddy 52

{Now that we've gotten this close to the centre of the camp.....I've been feeling sick in the stomach as though a huge pile of decay things have been kept here, how come no one feels uncomfortable in this place} Fairy thought to himself 

Dana brought Asahel to the place where most of the children her age were, since the performance would be tomorrow evening maybe she can learn a thing or two from children her age 

In actual fact she was supposed to teach Asahel herself but she didn't have that patience

Asahel who hadn't even gotten a chance to refuse what they wanted from her was soon approached by a girl and it was none other than Ramona, the girl who came over with the other children to talk to Asahel

"Ramona this girl will be in your group....you don't have to teach her much Just the basic is fine"

"Ohhh.....will she be joining us tomorrow"?

"Yes...but not at the front just as a supporter"

With that Dana left

"Hey.....Dana are you sure you don't need to teach that kid personally"?

"No need she won't be able to perform tomorrow even if she was taught over a year....she's utterly useless.. just let her fill in the gaps"

"By the way has she done the ritual... I'm certain we could have been invited if she has or maybe hers'.....is special?"

"She hasn't and that's what ticks me off..... enough talk about her, once tomorrow reaches and they see how useless she is then I won't have to be her sitter anymore"

The guy close to Dana shrugged his shoulders, if Dana said so then he had nothing to add besides he was in charge of healing not training 

Asahel who was left in the care of the girl called Ramona could only look at her and wondered what she was supposed to do

"Asahel....right?"

"Hmmmm"

"Ok then let's get started.....and I'm so happy you decided to join the Rimley family entertainers.... we're gonna have so much fun together"

Ramona couldn't help but say out loud with an expression of joy

{Master ain't you gonna tell her you haven't joined the family?}

(There's no need let's just go with the flow for now)

{If you say so and Master there are some things we need to talk about but that will be back in the space I feel like this place has a stinky odor....I just can't put my finger on it}

Asahel raised her brow and was about to question Fairy more when Ramona pulled her and started walking in a certain direction

"For our age groups this is where we train.....it's way different from the adults section but don't look down on it believe me it's tough"

"I see" Asahel said with little or no interest

The two walked on ahead as they approached other kids, most of the kids had been around when Asahel was brought in by Dana but some were busy so they didn't know what happened.

For the ones who knew, once they saw Asahel they didn't bother approaching since they already knew why she was here while the others flocked around Ramona

"Hey....Ramona is she part of the family now that's great right?"

"Hmmmm...she is and I've been told to train her personally"

"Wow.....that's awesome and you got some recognition from sister Dana"

"Hehe..... I'm still me"

Asahel watched as the children interacted among themselves she could only think 

(What's so special about someone joining this so called family)

Unknown to Asahel the children were always tasked to bring in other children into the camp most especially the ones by the road side with no homes and almost no families and there was always a reward for any child that was brought in that ended up joining the family

But due to some tight security these past few days they weren't allowed to 

But when the children saw that Ramona had been given this girl they thought Ramona had finally made the girl decide to join them and they were awaiting what sort of reward Ramona would get 

As for why they had to lure in other children that was up to the adults and elders knowledge the children didn't have a clue of what it meant and they might never know

Time slowly passed and night had already fall. Ramona was good in alot of her things that other kids her age couldn't do and she taught alot to Asahel.

 Since she believed Asahel didn't know any of this she started from baby steps beside they were other opportunities to showcase ones talent, if she couldn't catch up in tomorrow's event there were more ways to improve in other events that were to come 

and they never lacked places to perform since they always had audience

But surprisingly Asahel was quite the fast learner (actually she's not.....it was due to Fairy's help previously in the space)

She was able to grab everything Ramona taught her and do them with ease 

"You're amazing Asahel.....if only you had joined earlier we would be performing together... don't get me wrong you really are good for a first timer but the team I'm participating in already has months of training just for this event"

Ramona spoke as they headed to the bathing area to wash off their sweaty bodies 

"It's fine I don't mind besides I don't plan to stay here forever"

"Don't say that...this place is great..you eat well, sleep well, and do amazing things other kids could only dream about...ohh right I haven't told you yet...this is the best part"

Asahel and Ramona entered the bath and Ramona immediately jumped on Asahel...well it was mostly because she was about to tell her something very important that shouldn't be said unnecessarily to the hearing of others

Well Asahel wasn't used to this and was gently pushing her off when she heard what Ramona said to her ears in a whispering voice
