"I'm going over to Alpha Jed's turf today", Laura said.
It's been over a month since she woke up and over a month since Laura had embraced her Alpha wolf side.
"I think it's still too early to attack Laura", Drew said.
Drew was the wolf who had saved her from her stepfather's men. He was handsome and what's more, really caring about his pack members.
Laura didn't know if she was ready for it but she wouldn't hesitate to attack them if she had the chance.
"I'm not attacking now, I'm going there to scope the area", she said.
"Still, you have to be very careful. Alpha Jed is very sensitive and one small slip up could have us all doomed. Laura, are you sure you want to do this?", Drew said.
"I won't jeopardize the peace of this pack, you can trust me on that Drew", Laura said.
"Alright, but I think you should go with either Tim or Josh".
"I prefer not to go with any of them. I need all the concentration I can get and secondly I don't want them to get hurt if something unpleasant occurs".
"Alright then, be careful please", he said.
"I will".
Laura shifted to her wolf form, running off into the fading evening sun. Soon, the moon would be out and Laura couldn't wait for it because she was at her best when the moon was out.
She walked into Alpha Jed's territory and she was surprised that not one attack had come his way which was somewhat unusual. She walked towards a huge rock by the side of a cliff, resting on it to catch her breath. From there, she got an ample view of Alpha Jed's cave and she could see that Drew wasn't bluffing when he said Alpha Jed was heavily protected.
Even from his view, Laura could count up to twenty armed men who patrolled the area, searching for trespassers. At the top of the building, she could see a number of sniper wolves standing towards the entrance of the building. Laura knew that if anyone came within a close distance, they would be dead.
Just then, a movement caught his eye. She turned just in time to see a young woman coming out of the building. With her sharp vision, Laura had no doubt that this girl was her stepbrother's girlfriend. She had heard so much about her but now, she was feeling a sensation of weirdness she couldn't quite understand.
.
"What's she doing here?" Laura muttered.
In her wolf form, Laura sniffed the air, trying to catch a scent of the strange girl but try as she may, she couldn't get a scent. The only reason was that she had used a deceptive spell that masked the scent to avoid her from getting seen by predators.
Laura watched as the girl walked towards the building, her hair bouncing around her. Just then, Laura felt a hate she couldn't describe for the girl. What right did she have to live a normal life when all her life was filled with hate and running around to avoid getting killed.
Her hate was so strong she was tempted to howl in hate but she controlled herself because she didn't want to give out her location.
If her stepfather and his useless son knew where she was, there was no doubt that they would hunt her down until they destroyed her completely.
Laura looked around, trying to gather as much information she could before heading back to Drew's pack. There was so much she wanted to do but she needed more reinforcement if she wanted to take them all.
When she was satisfied with what she had gathered, Laura shifted back to her human form before making her way back to Drew's cave. She smiled when she got to his cave and met him playing with some of the Cubs.
Laura knew she was falling deeper and deeper for him and she couldn't quite stop it. The pull she felt towards him was addicting.
"I have a plan." Laura said as a manner of greeting.
Drew sent the kids away, smiling as they raced each other to their cave. Laura watched them leave with a small smile on her face. She turned towards Drew and caught him staring at her.
"So, are you ready to reveal this plan or I have to beat you to get it", Drew chuckled.
"I'll tell you soon Drew, I promise. This is just something I need to keep to myself for now", Laura said.
He carved a stick, paying closer attention to the edge. This was one of the things he loved doing, this deep concentration he got when his mind was fixed on something.
"Alright, I'm not going to hold you against it, you'll tell me as soon as you're ready to talk", Drew said.
"Thank you. Also, I'll need additional information on Alpha Jed. You seem to know so much about him that I don't even know", Laurasaid.
"Information? Okay, what kind of information", Drew said.
"Anything, anything at all that I can use against him."
"There's really nothing much to say except all the evil things he has done. Alpha Jed has been a thorn in our back. There's nothing I haven't done to fight him but he keeps coming back and even gets stronger than the last.
"What kind of things?", Laura asked.
"There was a time he raped almost every girl on the turf. The only reason why he stopped was due to my timely intervention. I was still strong then to tackle him, not this weak mess I have suddenly become", Drew said.
"Is there no government in charge who can curb his excesses? I mean, there should be something we can do to deal with him", Laura said.
She was saying all this just to fish out more information from Drew, already she had made up her mind on what to do and there was no stopping her.
"Nothing, none. We're our own government, I'm just glad you're here now", he said.
"I am too. How often does Alpha Jed come here?", Laura asked.
She needed to know the time so she could plan on how to strike if need be. She had two options, both were good but she wanted to choose the best option and she couldn't afford to make any mistakes especially when it comes to dealing with her stepfather.
"Once every full moon", Drew said.
"When is the next full moon coming out?", Laura asked.
Her mind was already in motion, all she needed now was Alpha Jed's presence and everything would be settled but Laura had a sinking feeling that wouldn't be so especially since Drew had warned him that he wasn't one to cross.
"A week from now", Drew croaked.
"Okay, I think you should take enough rest. You're looking sick and rest is the only thing that would be good for you", Laura said.
"When I see you take your revenge on your stepfather, that would be my only rest", Drew said.
"Just like you said earlier, with time, he would be in my hands", Laura said.
She flexed her hand and she was glad that some of the pain she felt earlier was gone. She had fully recovered and was ready to take on her stepfather .
"Lest I forget, there's this ceremony he hosts on the full moon day. Every pack member is expected to attend. I think you should go, it would be good for you", Drew said.
"I agree. I would be able to get a closer look at him and see how I can strike", Laura said.
"Above all, you have to be careful Laura", Drew said.
"I will and I'm grateful for your help so far, it really means a lot", Laura said.
He didn't know what he'd have done if Drew wasn't here to guide her on the things she ought to do. She was grateful to have an older influence, someone who meant well for her.
Now that she had gotten everything she needed, Laura had no doubt that victory was certain for her. The battle had only just begun.
