"So you bumped into him how many times now?" Ava asked me while searching my closet.

"Uh... I forgot.. let me recount.. Twice at the cafe, and then at the club, and then at Lauren's birthday dinner..." I started counting on my fingers.

"Who's Lauren?" She asked.

"A friend.. and then in the morning here. So that's.."

"Five times. wow." Dan walked in with a big smile. "Looks like you fell for him. Get it?" He waggled his eyebrows and I slapped his shoulder playfully.

"That was a good one." Ava laughed.

"Nuh-uh." I said, shaking my head. "I haven't fallen for him."

"Yet." Ava said.

"Are you sure about this guy?" Dave looked at me concerned. "I mean he looks kinda..."

"Intimidating? Dangerous? Bossy? I'm sure." I smiled at him and he nodded solemnly.

"It's just that I was talking to Dave the other day and he had some uh... very concerning things to say about him.. They're neighbors after all." Dave said and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Like what?" I asked him.

"Well.." He rubbed the back of his neck. "He said he saw many girls going there and coming out the next day crying usually. And uh... his extra large security detail and all.. he said not to get involved with him because he's really dangerous and all.. So I was worried is all." He said and I nodded.

"I get what you mean. He's someone important in the business industry so he has all that security team tagging along with him... And about the girls... I'm not sure but I'll ask him, okay?" I told him and he gave me a small smile.

"Alright. Well have fun." He ruffled my hair and went out, just as Ava came out from my closet.

"What were you guys talking about?" She asked.

"Oh nothing important, he was just asking about Nico." I told her and she nodded, handing me the outfit she picked.

"Anyway, here you go. This should be perfect." I took the clothes from her and headed to change. Quickly putting on my clothes, I went out and twirled for Taylor.

"How do I look?" I asked her smiling and she clapped her hands.

"Perfect. He won't be able to resist you in this." She said and Abby came in carrying her straightener.

"Wow. He won't be able to take his eyes off of you in that." Abby pointed to me and I rolled my eyes.

I don't think that's a problem.

"Oh come on guys. We still have to go to the library." I told them and settled in front of my dressing table, putting on gloss while Abby and Ava straightened my hair.

Exactly twenty minutes later, Cole, Abby and I drove in my car towards the library. I hadn't heard from Nico since morning so I made myself busy with placing the books in the shelves while humming to my favorite music. We were there for a good two hours, and came out at 5:30 pm.

"You still got half an hour till 6. Wanna grab a coffee?" Cole asked me and I nodded enthusiastically. Coffee would definitively warm me up and calm down the raging butterfly war inside me.

"Yeah. That sounds good." And we drove to the cafe, when my phone chimed with a message. I quickly opened it when I saw it was from Nico, smiling.

"Are you still at the library?"

"Cafe. Can you pick me up from there?" I messaged back quickly.

"Of course." And with that I closed my phone when Cole parked in front of the cafe.

"I'm not going in. I have to complete some assignments at home." Cole said from the driving seat and Abby agreed with him, so I took their orders and headed inside, pulling my coat tighter around myself.

I saw the same blonde guy that was here the other day, and gave a nice smile and ordered.

"And... a latte for me please. And thank you, uh... Charlie." I told him, squinting my eyes at his name badge, and he wrote down my order with a smile, passing them on.

"Now you know my name. So what's yours?" He asked me.

"Dove." I told him.

"That's a pretty name. Are you going somewhere?" He asked me eyeing my outfit and I laughed.

"Oh, I just came from the library, and I'm waiting for a friend." I told him and he nodded.

"You look really nice. Really pretty." He told me blushing a bit and I giggled.

"Thanks." I told him.

"So you know Nicholas King?" He asked me suddenly.

"Yeah kind of. How do you know him?"

"Don't you?" He asked me with disbelief.

"I met Nico a while ago. Here, actually. I bumped into him five times now." I told him smiling and he frowned.

"You call him.. Nico? And he lets you? He asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah. Why?"

"So you don't really know him?" He asked me and I shrugged.

"I know a bit about him from what he's told me. Apparently he's quite famous. Many people know him. I'm surprised I don't." I told him laughing and he nodded.

"Yeah... anyways... how's life going?" He asked me changing the topic and I stood up straighter.

"Good actually. A little drama here and there but it's okay." I told him and he gave me a charming toothy smile.

"Same here. Hey I was wondering if you maybe wanted to grab a coffee sometime?" He asked my shyly and I chuckled.

"I-..." I started to speak but was cut off.

"Have a date." I recognized the voice immediately and turned around to see Nico, dressed in black pants and a grey sweater, with a light grey coat on top.

He took off his black metal sunglasses, revealing his beautiful eyes as he walked over to me, placing a hand on my waist and leaning down slowly, and kissing me.

But the kiss felt oddly possessive. Like he was claiming me and...

Making territory.

He pulled away and placed a chaste kiss on my cheek before glancing at Charlie, who stood there as still as a statue, shock etched on his face as he looked at Nico.

"Coffee. Black." He said and Charlie nodded his head frantically before rushing off. Nico turned to me and smiled. "You look lovely darling." And pecked me on the lips before pulling away when Charlie came back with our orders.

"Here you go Dove, these are yours." He handed me our order and I quickly ran out and handed the Cole and Abby their coffees.

"Here ya go." I told them.

"Saw Nicholas going in. You'll be okay right?" Cole asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah you guys can go. Bye!" I told them as they drove off, and went back in the cafe to see Nico settled with his coffee at a table. I walked over to him and sat across him.

"Come here." He patted the seat beside him and I smiled before getting up and sitting next to him. He pulled me closer to him and draped an arm behind me, sipping his coffee.

I looked him over and smiled.

"What?" He asked.

"Nothing. You look good. Very... casual." I told him and he grinned.

"You like it?" He asked me.

"I love it." I said, placing a kiss on his cheek and then enjoying my coffee. We finished quickly and he led me to his car. I glanced at all the other black cars around his. A driver opened our door and we sat in.

"So much security for a casual date." I told him.

"It's necessary for our safety." He said looking out the window and I frowned.

"Ours?" I asked him and he looked at me and took my hand, gently tracing my knuckled.

"Yes. You've been seen with me many times. I can't let you get hurt. Some people think you're important to me." I frowned and looked at him.

"Am I? Important to you, I mean.." I asked him and he grinned at me.

"Very." He said, kissing my wrist and pulling me closer to him. He put a hand on my bare thigh and traced patterns, nuzzling his face in my hair and kissing the top of my head.

"Are you hungry?" He whispered and I shook my head."

"No." I told him as the car parked in front of... an amusement park? I looked up at Nico, a wide smile making its way on my face as we got out of the car.

"An amusement park?" I asked him and he nodded.

"You wanted casual right?" He said taking my hand and I nodded enthusiastically as he led me inside and I gasped at all the colorful rides.

This is going to be absolutely amazing.
