Chapter 3

It was  6:30pm when I was heading home after work. I couldn't wait to go home and get a relaxing bubble bath while blasting to music before wearing my comfy pyjamas and eating dinner. The thought formed a smile on my face.

I entered the dark living room of my house and turned on the lights before rushing over to my bedroom. I quickly ran into the bathroom and prepared myself a bubble bath.

After some time, the bath was ready and I played some loffy music before I stripped naked and hopped inside the relaxing bath. I felt my body soothe and all the aches vanished from my body.

I was busy having a relaxing bath, when suddenly a notification popped up on my phone disturbing the cool atmosphere.

"North hamingwen, road number:2, house number: 21. - Liam" read the message. I frowned when his next message silenced me up. "You can come around 8pm. -Liam."

Shit! How could I have forgotten about that! I quickly got up and dried my body before slipping into a pair of black jeans and a blue t shirt. I tied my hair up in a messy bun and headed out.

It was already 7:45 meaning I will be late. I hastened my steps not wanting him to make a comment about me being late when I arrive at his place.

I kept walking ignoring all the two story houses that came in my sight as I walked into Liam's neighbourhood when I finally stopped in front of Liam's house with my jaw hanging.

In front of my eyes, was a modernly styled, vast and luxurious house which looked more like a mansion to me. I re checked the address with that on my phone only to see it matches. The thought of Liam pranking me by giving me a fake address kept lingering in my head as I rang the door bell.

My thoughts were interrupted when I noticed the door slowly opening. Liam was standing on the other side, dressed in shorts and a white t-shirt.

"Hi," he said as he moved aside to let me in. "Hi," I replied, attempting to act as if I hadn't just panicked. I walked in and stared in awe at the interior of the house.

The house was almost entirely made of glass, with tall glass walls that allowed you to see the magnificent view of the pool and the greenery that surrounded it.

"Come on, let's go to my room," Liam interrupted my thoughts. I followed him into his room after giving slight nod.

When I first imagined his room, I imagined a cluttered space with clothes strewn about, worn-out bed sheets, and books all over his study table, but it was quite the opposite.

His room was decorated in various shades of grey. The walls were painted a dark grey to match the furniture in the room. He had plain black bed sheets with matching pillowcases on his bed, and there were no signs of books in the entire room, which I should have expected given that he most likely has a study room in this massive mansion.

"I'll return with all the supplies; in the meantime, you can sit here or explore my room a little," he said, patting the bed, and I simply nodded.

I noticed two doors as I looked around the room. I went over to the first door and pushed it open. It was his bathroom door that was neat and tidy.

I moved to the second door but was surprised when I opened it. The door opened to reveal a walk-in closet. There were separate sections for t-shirts, shirts, jeans, coats, hoodies, and so on. There was even a section dedicated to shoes. Everything was organized, from branded clothing to everyday clothing. A table in the center of the closet held a collection of men's jewelry.

I noticed a grassy green hoodie with the letter 'L' printed on the right side out of the corner of my eye. That hoodie seemed familiar. I was going to proceed towards it when Liam's abrupt voice stopped me.

"Oh, you're here!" He approached me, he said. I took one more look at the hoodie before responding, "yeah, were you calling me?" "Yeah, I called your name several times, but you didn't respond," he admitted. "Oh, I'm sorry, I was just looking around," I apologised. "it's ok. I was the one who told you you could look around my room "He chuckled.

I gave him a small smile as we exited the closet and entered his room. "Since it's already 8:45 p.m., we should start researching," he said, and I nodded.

We worked on the project until 10 p.m., when it was time for me to go home.He had persuaded me to spend the night there, but I refused and returned home.

I got home around 10:30 p.m. and quickly changed into my pyjamas before laying down on my bed. I couldn't stop thinking about that hoodie.

Where had I seen it before? It appeared to be very familiar. I mean, I see a lot of people in my daily life who wear green hoodies, but that hoodie seemed weird. But I can't seem to figure out why I thought so.
