6. Narrow Escape

Machida who finally halfly reached his goal, suddenly felt his two feet being grabbed followed by the feeling of the adding heaviness down below. He quickly looked down and saw the innocent pair of eyes staring back at him.

"Hey! Get off!" Machida angrily said.

Akira turned a deaf ear to his angry cry and instead continued to crawl up from Machida's feet, to holding his black slack pants, to his belt up to his back like a monkey and now his on Machida's shoulder.

Machida became speechless at how fast this person can crawl up on his body like a monkey. Before he could react again, Machida suddenly cried out in pain as the monkey-like person suddenly stepped one foot onto his head and jumped up into the air. Akira accurately hung on to the window frame when suddenly the train dropped down fastly that made some surviving passengers cried out in terror. Akira even felt like his heart went up his throat.

The train violently shook as it stopped from the fall. Akira and Machida together with the other surviving team of black suited men dearly held on tightly as their bodies were swung violently in the air.

Looking down, Akira could see through the broken window from his cabin the now larger rock field formation down below and the bigger trees. Without wasting any more seconds, Akira finally went up through the window. Standing outside, he saw mostly half of the centipede-like body of the train rolled down the steep side of the rocky mountain. The heavy weight of the train continues to pull the train down the cliff.

Akira looked down again from the window. He saw Machida now holding on to the sofa bed.

"Hey! Bull man!" Akira called the still hanging Machida.

"What?" Machida answered as he looked up without even noticing the name he was being called.

He saw the young man reach out his hand.

"Good, you still have a conscience." Machida mercilessly grabbed onto the slender arm without considering his heavy weight as his revenge to the young man.

Akira greeted his teeth as he felt the massive heaviness. He even felt like his veins were going pulp.

Machida was quietly surprised as the young man was able to pull him up.

His other team slowly made out to the top as well.

After helping the big man out of the window, Akira also helped some other surviving passengers. Machida on the other hand immediately called Higurashi's mobile number while hurriedly jumped off from the train.

"Machida." Higurashi answered the phone.

Hearing the voice on the other line, Machida was quietly relieved.

"We're going over to your side now, sir."

"Careful. We still didn't know where the enemies were hiding." Higurashi warned.

"Copy sir." Just as Machida hung up the phone, the train suddenly fell down again. He looked back when the gunshots suddenly heard from above where half of the train's body remained. Machida hurriedly climbed up together with the other team.

Akira on the other hand, ran along the steep side of the hill. He abruptly stopped when he heard the rapid sound of gunshots. Then up above he saw a chopper raining shots up the hill where he firstly heard the gunshots. He even saw the bull man earlier fired at the flying chopper continuously. The two exchanged shots for a while before he saw the chopper smoked and finally crashed down. Akira paled when he saw the direction where the chopper was going to crash.

'Shit!' He fastly sprinted into a run.

Machida even saw this and suddenly prayed for the young man.

Akira heard the sound of the chopper getting nearer and nearer behind him as he ran for his life.

—BOOOM—!!!

Akira was blown by the great impact. He pitifully crashed on the rocky side surface before rolling down many times down the hill.

"Urgh! Akira hisses when he bumped onto the big rock that made him stop from rolling continually. Akira felt the world spinning around as he momentarily lost his vision. He continued to lay down weakly while his eyes were closed.

The sound of gunshots still continuing up the hill accompanied by the occasional sound of explosions but he no longer cared. Right now, he just wanted to close his eyes.
